  1. I don't get what you're saying? You're suprised "not to see much positive chatter. Is that allowed", but then you wonder where the haters are. So you haven't seen anything positive said and want to know if the negative people have lost there log in, and you're "just sayin".
  2. Which is it that you want? You don't like Gailey making changes, then you want him to make changes. You're your own problem.
  3. We should have drafted him instead of Dareus and starting Right and Left Tackles. This front office sucks.
  4. You're exactly right. Davis has been great. I think Barnett has looked excellent too, but I'd say Davis has been our best LB in preseason thus far. Morrison is NOT getting the starting position.
  5. Talk about hysterics. Anyone that thinks this team is getting worse has completely lost their mind. Anyone that thinks a FO can rebuild both defensive and offensive lines in 2 off seasons is more nuts than the person that thinks we are getting worse.
  6. I've never acted like that. And I don't know anyone who has.
  7. I missed the original broadcast and friends were texting me saying we looked terrible. I haphazardly watched the game the next day while doing some projects expecting to see something horrific. I didn't. I then watched it again giving it my full attention. I didn't think it was as bad as most fans are making it out to be. I'm going to remain optimistic.
  8. Pittsburgh is one of the finest ran organizations in sports. They develop players like it's going out of style. Dixon can't beat out Leftwich, that's all I need to know.
  9. I disagree. I find it encouraging to watch a person redeem themselves. It's not an easy thing to do either. I think Vick is turning into a nice feel good story.
  10. Well if your posts are any indication, you're screwed.
  11. I thought this was pretty honest coaching evaluation and interesting.
  12. You've got to be kidding? I'd put any bet on your statement you choose.
  13. I'm not saying that I wouldn't be willing to give him some time, but I believe there's no chance the Bills FO and coaching staff ever want to see him again.
  14. Why rather? As if because we signed Smith we didn't get a RT or TE.
  15. Glass half empty for you I guess. The way I look at it is, they've gone against two different offensive lines and dominated them both. Any thought beyond that is speculation.
  16. I by in large agree with you. I'm not the biggest Lee Evans supporter. But I re watched probably 30-40 games during Evans' tenure and watched all the games from last year to try and convince myself that Lee was commanding the attention all his apologists say he did. It's a difficult thing to do because obviously the NFL filming follows the ball and rarely gives a glimpse of the entire field so you can see where everyone is lined up. But when I could see, by in large Evans was commanding safety help (double team). They weren't worried about him slanting hence there would have been more LB involvement. It was the over the top safety help he commanded (go route). In saying that, this team needs someone to emerge or I believe Stevie Johnson will struggle this year. Stevie by himself isn't a #1 receiver, he needs the scheme to help him. He isn't big, he isn't fast, and I'm not 100% sold on his hands. He put his name out there nationally doing the interviews etc. I have no issue with that, but he's being noticed now by defenses. I feel he's most likely going to get a LB shading his way and/a safety. If these other guys don't burn teams for doing this it's going to be tough to move the ball in chunks.
  17. You're one of the better posters man, I didn't mean to be too disrespectful, but I'm suprised that you don't think speed is needed at the WR position. But this team especially with the departure of Evans better figure out a way to get behind the CB or we will see the defense close in on our short routes. The DB's are going to take a step back and jump those routes. The reason they take 2-3 steps back is the threat of speed, thus making the slant successful. On the other hand I understand your original point which is it's not all about speed and in Gailey's offense he doesn't go deep often. But the defense must respect that you can.
  18. The "go route" isn't the cornerstone of ANY offense. That's not the point of needing speed at the WR position. The go route isn't the only route in which you need straight line speed, it's also not the only route you need to get behind defenders. So before you preach to everyone on this board about your ability to evaluate Football, maybe you should take your own advice and you won't be so "perplexed". Have you ever heard Gailey or any offensive coach say "we don't need speed at the WR position, because we only run slant and intermediate routes in our offense"? Of course you haven't. It's the threat of speed that allows the intermediate routes to work. Speed commands safety involvement to guard against the "go route" or any route that is designed to get behind the CB. This stretches out the defense and opens those holes. If you don't have speed as a threat (not a cornerstone), the defensive backfield pinches in thus cramping the ability for the intermediate stuff to work at its best. Hello.
  19. Exactly. Maybin's more like Tracy Gold. Are you sure? I thought Maybin dove and missed him and A. Williams got him. I'll have to go back and look.
  20. I'm going to correct myslef. I went back and watched that play again and Merriman definitely got a hand on him before Dareus cleaned him up. It may have warranted a 1/2 sack.
  21. It's no argument, that sack was Dareus'.
