That in my opinion is a big difference between Trent and Losman....Trent can move the ball up and down. His problem was finishing the drives in the Red zone. I think Trent is definitely a NFL caliber QB who with some better coaching will be the QB for the future for the Bills.

I would love to see Cowher and his attitude back on this team...But even Cowher got lucky....He was given a NFL caliber QB in Ben and a super-bowl winning DC right in the nick of the time...Prior to that season when Ben and LeBeau walked into Heinz Field, the Steelers were losers under Tommy Maddox and Kordell Stewart. Considering that Bill Cowher will demand the world to take this job. Whereas I think Steve Mariucci is burning inside to prove that his success in the bay area was no fluke and that his tenure at Detroit was the fluke. He loves Trent Edwards and Edwards would love to play his style of offense. I think it is match made in heaven....If Steve can find a good DC, may be Marvin Lewis or Romeo Crennel to run this defense....then there might a light at the end of the tunnel.

I am sure Patrick Willis is setting the Bay on fire and leading the 49ers to post-season wins.

I guess JP brought his ticket out of the NFL today with his performance.

At least it will stop the Losman Ball washers.....Losman may have played his last game for the Bills...

Steve Mariucci. He really had high praise for Edwards...They come from the same background system and he could get Edwards to play his style of offense. Whoever they get as the HC, they need a better Defensive Coordinator, who can put his guys to make plays....not play 10 yards off the receivers.

May be they have something called "CONTINUITY" down here....The steelers don't constantly change players....The steelers were struggling with their defense before Cowher made the smart move to bring back Lebeau. Ever since Lebeau has been back they have had a playoff caliber defense.....As they say DEFENSE wins championships....The Bills had Lebeau in their grasp and yet let him get away....If the Bills had not been foolish enough to make Lebeau DC instead of a Consultant for Jerry Gray, there is no way Lebeau leaves for the Steelers... They hired Zerlein as their new OL coach after the former coach left for Arizona and inspite of limited talent on that line they have been able to do better than the Bills in running the football. Another coach that we let go. The bills need a HC who can stoke the fire under the belly of these players and help them remain focused during the games.....

That is the most ridiculous idea.... They have a good nucleus of players that can play.... Edwards, Lynch, Evans.... They just can't get the OL to play cohesively.....The Jason Peters hold out has really hurt this team for the long run..... They need to stop the opponents on 3rd and long.....Those long drives in the 4th qtr are just killing them....However this defense is built to stay off the field....They are too small to stay on the field for 38 minutes.......The Bills offense needs to take responsibility for that.....They have to stay on the field for long enough...To Do that the RUN GAME HAS TO BE EFFICIENT......

Or even those Wade Phillips defense... Ever since Greg "the Know All" Williams came here, our defense has been always SUSPECT.

I would call the inability to adjust..... The last 3 weeks we play teams that primarily play the 3-4 defense with the Nose Tackle and we have struggled all the three games to run the ball. The fish made only one mistake in the run game giving that TD to Jackson... And going to our Defense, the last 3 weeks, the three teams have been patient to take what the Bills were giving and letting the Bills make mistakes on offense....It is very frustrating to see that your defense cannot stop the opponent drive in the 4th qtr for 3 straight weeks....It shows the character of this defense........This defense plays to not loose, not to win...

I don't know....I think Jauron is the right coach for this team....Perry Fewell has been here for 3 years and he has really not been able to make this defense a physical defense that can stop the run consistently and get off the field on 3rd and longs....Today in that last drive of NE, they had a 3rd and 7 on their own 10 yard line and we allowed a 3rd down catch to the 27 yard line....That is simply inexcusable......

This Defense is not built for staying on the field for this long.....The success of this team in the 1st quarter of the season was built on sustaining long drives....We have reverted to last years motto of not being able to sustain any drives today except for the one that got them 3 points..... Nothing is going right for them now and the whole team is playing without any confidence and that shows on the field...Today I was really disappointed with the play of Edwards...He just could not get any consistency.

The Bills are struggling and still in 1st place....Go figure...It means the Division is up for grabs. We need better performance..... DO NOT TURNOVER THE BALL....It starts with that....If the Bills protect the football good things happen... Lee Evans has 3 TDs for the season and 1 of that was from JP.....Trent and Evans needs to connect more in the end zone. The #2 WR position has produced 2 TDs for the entire season (1 for Parrish and 1 for Hardy)....We really need better production from this part of the offense to be more successful The Running game has to get going....It has been too much stagnant.....We need to run and control the clock. On Defense Where is the pass rush. Schoebel has shown what he means to this team....and Chris Kelsay has shown what a wasted re-signing he was.... The LBs have been pretty average....They have no pressure on the QB. The secondary -- Too decimated to talk about...but they need to improve.

I think it is partially scouting and partially coaching. The Giants DC learned his tricks from Jimmy Johnson of the Eagles and is putting it to good use.

Also right now there is no confidence in our D that it will stop the offense even if we are unsuccessful with the onside kick.... The steelers have the #1 D in the league and Tomlin has enough confidence in his defense to hold Washington to 3 or less points and hence he can go for the onside kick.

Will be heading to Dallas, where they like to collect faded-jaded-stars

Considering we are moving into the 2nd half of the season, may be McKelvin gets to turn it around..

I don't know. Parrish has actually played well and has been that safety valve...It is not like Josh Reed had multiple TDs in the season. What it is really missing is a real #2 WR who can take the pressure of Evans and catch TD passes in the end zone. I hope Derek Fine can do that....However, it looks like it is too much to expect of a rookie.

0 for 13 on 3rd downs....The punters are having to work overtime to earn their pay checks....It is real ugly...

Last year the same 5 guys played almost the whole year....Not so this year....With Peters missing the entire off season, Walker was forced to play LT and this made the whole line unsettled as that resulted in two guys at two new positions (LT and RT).... Once Peter got back, he is completely out of sync with himself and his teammates....I wish Peters had been with this team during the off season to maintain that consistency...

McKelvin is the least of the Bills problems. Revis who was picked almost at the same spot a year ago took a year to progress into a NFL caliber player....McKelvin has apretty good shot at it too.

This OL coaching is just too putrid.....we really need some better OL coaching.....You win the game in the trenches..

Another guy who has been a mainstay in the AFC is Del Rio for Jacksonville.

I don't know...The Colts D can put the heat on Cassell...I think the Colts win this one.... WIth a minute to go, Miami is UP on Denver 26-17.....and they will be 4-4 and just a game behind, but with wins over NE and Buffalo, they are in the drivers seat.

Bill, I think the Bills self-destructed today then being out coached. When you dig yourself a 10 point hole with a fumble and INT returned for TD in the 1st qtr of the game, when you should have been up 17-3, you don't give yourself a chance to win. The biggest disappointment for me was how flat we came out in the 2nd half of the game. THe momentum going into half time was with us with the Jets missing the FG. If we score a TD on the 1st drive of the 2nd half, we would have dominated the game. At this point of time Trent Edwards is not ready to carry this team on his shoulder by himself. Turk and Jauron have to know that the Defense and the Running game have to compliment Edwards... I am still fine with this team at 5-3....Some of the positives from this game was that Derek Fine might turn out to be a good pass catching TE. He was involved in the game quite a bit. Pos and Greer had good game. I think this team still can make it deep into the playoffs, if they can fix some of their flaws.
