We do: Stevie and Chandler. Welker wanted 10M+ a year with the Patriots. Why would he want anything less than that with the Bills. The Bills cannot afford to pay Stevie and a big contract for a 2nd WR. I just don't see this happening.

The only reason the Texans turned it around was due to the hiring of Wade Phillips. When you are the 4th largest TV market and home town, it is easy to hire a coach like Phillips. Let us not change history as to how Kubiak has bungled through season after season.

The Browns are 3-1 against us in the last four games. In our last game against them we won 13-6 @ home in a very close game. Fitzpatrick had a mistake free game and Fred Jackson ran for 100+ yards.. The previous game is known for the muffed punt and the Browns QB throwing for 2 completions. The 27-29 loss was when Edwards kept throwing to their DBs and finally the 8-0 loss was in the snow when Jamal Lewis ran roughshod over us for 160 yards. This looks a scary game. 14 Sun December 16, 2007 L Buffalo Bills @ Cleveland Browns 0 8 boxscore 15 Mon November 17, 2008 L Buffalo Bills Cleveland Browns 27 29 boxscore 16 Sun October 11, 2009 L Buffalo Bills Cleveland Browns 3 6 boxscore 17 Sun December 12, 2010 W Buffalo Bills Cleveland Browns 13 6 boxscor Here are the current rankings of both the teams on Offense and Defense. I am nervous that Gailey is going to put the game in Fitzpatricks hands (the 28th Ranked Passing offense). ~ ~

Byrd missing practice, could be game-time decision
ganesh replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Every game that Levitre starts, his price is continuing to go up. Levitre and Wood are the heart and soul of this Offensive Line and probably the offense. They really need to use that 12M in Salary cap to lock him up and provide that continuity. I believe they also need to take care of Urbik who will also be a FA at the end of this season. -
I don't think Fitz compares well with RJ. RJ had a big arm but did not have the necessary feel to sense a rush and took too many sacks. Losman resembles far more closer to RJ. Fitz has a average to above average arm, but has made poor decisions (with the INTs) and also has simply been inaccurate. I see Fitz to be a taller version of Flutie.

I don't think anyone is arguing about Fitz capabilities to throw the ball. What he does not have compared the three guys you have quoted...Manning, Brady and Favre....They were CONSISTENT....Fitz has shown to be a very streaky QB and it is hard to win in the NFL if you are not consistent. People said the same things as above about Polamalu....However with that aggression and free flow to the play, Polamalu has made far more game changing plays in favor of the Steelers than let them down. I will take that more than having an average lunch-pail guy at the CB position.

The real nice thing is that after 2 games, the OL is not the problem on this team. All the 5 starters and Hairston have kept their end of the bargain. The ball is now Fitz's court. The Bills making or not making the playoffs (or simply keeping the team in every contest for a full 60 minutes) lies squarely in the hands of Fitz. The Bills will only go as far as Fitz takes them (or Chan can be wise and keep feeding the rock to Spiller and Jackson).

Jerry Jones: NFL should outlaw kneel-downs
ganesh replied to buffalobillsfootball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
  -
Game ball(s) goes to: 1. Cody Glenn - Outstanding game both in the Run and Pass. This starting OL must be one of the best in a loooooong time. 1a. Eric Wood - He is the heart and soul of this OL and the Offense. He brings an energy to this offense not seen since the departure of Kent Hull. 2. Stephen Gilmore - Gilmore Island was a very lonely place today. He owned the KC receivers 3. C.J. Spiller - Showed his burst at the LOS and his ability to move forward when tackled. Also, protected the football today. 4. Chandler - This guy can catch anything thrown near him. He could very well be a Gates for this team, if only the QB can get the ball to him consistently. His play will open up the Bills offense and provide more 1-on-1 coverage for our 2nd WR to take advantage. Teams will not be able to double team Chandler and Stevie. 5. Moorman - Had a fantastic day with the Punting today.

Toronto - more regular season and no preseason games?!?
ganesh replied to bbb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sure...But when Toronto is compensating the Bills with upfront guaranteed money for those potential non-sellout games, why wouldn't the Bills jump on that. -
At this point the Bills need all different avenues on offense. Fitzpatrick was bailed out by Spiller and the Defense today. If not for the 21 point lead, Fitz would have had 2 INTs.
-
Give the kid a break. The Bills had already built up a 21-0 nothing lead thanks to a stupendous effort by Spiller. There was nothing for the Bills to go deep and show their game plans.Graham's day will soon come.

Gilmore gave up something like 65 yards total in the game where the chiefs threw for 300+ yards (mostly in garbage time). Many of the sacks were coverage sacks as Cassell had no where to throw the ball. The credit goes to Gilmore and the secondary who had an outstanding game. Gilmore will be a (super)-star in this league.

Clayton's Mailbag Leads with Bills fans knee-jerk
ganesh replied to quinnearlysghost88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we are going to see Lee more on the field along with Chandler and Fitz will be throwing to both of them. -
Why not Naaman Roosevelt in the slot instead of Jones?
ganesh replied to ColdBlueNorth's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
why do you assume that he is not getting his fair shot. He has been with the Bills for the past few seasons and was with them in training camp. A team devoid of WRs and he was not able to make it to the 53 man roster. It is not like he is stuck behind starters on the depth chart. -
Any chance the Bills re-sign Merriman...
ganesh replied to Justice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If he had some gas left in his tank, a pass rush needy team (which are plenty around) would have grabbed him by now. Merriman is done. -
I think people are very nervous about this season opener. There is lot of expectation on this Bills team due to the fantastic off season. What if the Bills fall with a thud. This game may define their season.

Big Ben isn't as big of a scumbag as you thought
ganesh replied to section122's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Completely agree with his stance. BTW, I think Ben has matured and cleaned up his act. This is completely opposite of what Andy Reid did when his son passed away...He just came to training camp....fricking training camp...What is up with standing up and being for your family. -
The question is: Does Chan have enough in his bag to identify those weakness and take advantage. If the Bills load up the box and pressure Sanchez, this game is ours to lose.
-
This is Freddy's team on Offense and Kyle Williams on Defense. Ideally I would like Wood to be the 2nd captain on Offense, but I understand that the QB gets the glory.
-
It really doesn't matter. The difference is not that huge. Naman has played for the Bills the past two seasons and has 256 yards 1 TD. Also, no one is yet to pick him. If he was really that valuable, then he would have been picked as the #4 or #5 WR by others. I would have preferred to have Deon Branch who could have provided the Veteran leadership this group so sorely lacks.

The NFL must be really lucky to have such a great start to the 2012 season with the following great or interesting matchups: 1. A rejuvenated Cowboys against the Super Bowl champions and a divison rival to boot in the Season Opener TODAY - Cowboys @ Giants 2. A division rivalry to see who will give the Pats the run for their money - Bills @ Jets 3. Two playoff teams from last year competing for the super bowl and another divisional rivalry - Bengals @ Ravens 4. Two time Super bowl champion Vs Return of the QB King - Steelers @ Broncos 5. A dream NFC championship that never happened last year, but now you can catch it up in Green Bay - 49ers @ Packers 6. Who is going to battle the Broncos for the AFC West crown, another divisional matchup on Monday Night Football - Charges @ Raiders 7. Is it the beginning of the Skelton era in Arizona and Wilson era in Seattle? Another divisional rivalry on the west coast - Seahawks @ Cardinals 8. Are these guys contenders or pretenders. Both had good off seasons - Falcons @ Chiefs.

when brooks goes to ir...
ganesh replied to MARCELL DAREUS POWER's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If one of our top WRs get hurt, then I think Nix will be on the phone dialing up Deon Branch. -
I don't know how you can call the WR vs CB match up as even. The Jets have two very good CBs in Revis and Cromartie...The Bills have just one bonafide WR. Even if Jackson does better than Revis, I just don't know if the other WR can step up against Cromartie. The advantage clearly goes to the Jets on this. The Bills OL has not had the continuity in the off season that is needed for it to gel. I am actually hoping that Hairston starts at RT instead of Pears for this game and I hope Wood comes back to his original form. Still that Jets defensive front seven is outstanding. I have to give the advantage to the Jet here too. Another frightening matchup is the Jets TEs against our LBs. Dustin Keller could have a field day with our LB crew if Sanchez gets the time to throw.

I think it will be a CB. They will pick a WR when they let go Thigpen in a couple of weeks.
