The bills are in a tough spot. 6 of their 7 losses have come against AFC teams (NE, NYJ, Cle, Pit, KC, Cin). They would have to have a 1-game advantage over any of these teams, meaning even if we went 9-7, almost all of these teams would have to go 8-8 for us to make the playoffs.

I would trade for Big Ben for Spiller and next years 1st round pick in a snap!

So far EJ has failed to consistently make his mid-range throws. I don't think there is any point in blaming the Coach/OC.

Agreed....Marrone has been preaching from the day he was hired that everyone of his player is taught to mentally prepare as if he was a starter. It is time to show that on the field.

I hope they will be able to re-sign all of them especially Lawson, who I believe is on a 1-year contract. Having Lawson finish his career here would be awesome. It is strange that the Bills drafted John McCargo in the 1st round, and then signed Mario Williams and Manny Lawson as Free Agents. Mario, Lawson and McCargo were all First Round Draft picks in the same draft year and they anchored the NCST defensive line.

Do remember that rookies do not get the benefit of a full off season program due to college commitments and hence their body gives up in the 4th quarter of the season and there by not being able to sustain their initial success.

Not if he really has a health reason. Anyone not completely healthy (whether physically or mentally) should walk away from the game. There is nothing un-manly about it. History always teaches us that the first thing on the road to recovery is that we should first recognize that we have a problem. The solution then becomes easier. If you had an issue that could be embarrassing if seen publicly, would you still go to work everyday, knowing that people will look at you differently; bosses who will stop giving you work knowing your condition; the same goes for these guys. Just because you were given money, doesn't mean that you become a slave to your work.

I believe the Saints blitzed 3-4 guys and unfortunately our RBs did a lousy job and the QB couldn't get the ball off to his hot read (Plus the dropsies). As someone pointed out in another thread, the OL is doing just fine.

From your list the only guys who are having an outstanding season are Graham, Thomas, Cameron. Reed has had a couple of breakout games. The rest have stats closer to Chandler. As far as Graham and Thomas, they have QBs in the Top three in the league. BTW, Graham is the best TE in the NFL.

That is awesome...thanks. In the replay it appeared that his knee came down very hard on the field. It is good to have Gilmore, Byrd, Manny Lawson back on the field. These guys have definitely changed the focus of this defense. Now if EJ can come back and be a good game manager like he was in those first four games, I think we can win any of the games in the 2nd half of the season.

New England has last two starting DTs on their defense.

Haven't heard much about his Knee injury.

I think this OL has played very well, especially after Legursky has replaced Brown. Chandler had a bad game. He usually has sure hands and is a threat in the middle of the field. He has been constantly moving the chains. We need better play from SJ.

The other before-half minor irritants is not bringing the ball out on the Kick return. Also, I wish Marrone would ice kickers in the waning moments of the game, especially when they are kicking beyond 40+ yards. +1

+1. Bowe had minimal impact on this game. He had very little yards after catch on those 6 catches. I thought Fasano had a bigger impact in moving the chains.

But we are also one injury away from going back to the lousy and untested ones.

It is hard for a 6' 4" guy to just slide. Big Ben never learned it.

Why go all the way to 1995. Didn't we lose the game against Dallas in similar circumstance. Trent Edwards at the Dallas 5 yard line and then throws a end-zone INT (on a similar type of throw) that is returned back to the Bills side.

The Bills for four straight weeks have turned the ball over and that has been the difference. Manuel has played it safe at the early part of the season and our turnovers were less. Both Thad and Tuel have not protected the ball. The OL gave Tuel all the time to throw the football.
