  1. Pettines look says it all...That Roughing the passer call gives a TD to the Bucs
  2. another 3rd and 6 completion.....
  3. where was the Roughing there ?
  4. Tampa is getting great field position all day.
  5. Umm sorry. They didn't get him. They allow him to get outside the pocket and make a play and score.
  6. Rather...How did the pass rush let a rookie QB through 40+ yards for a TD on a 3rd down play. This defense simply cannot get off the field on 3rd down.
  7. The Bills QB situation would be good, if EJ makes progress in the remaining four games and then signing Matt Schaub in the off season as his backup. Not having a solid veteran backup cost us the games against the Browns and the Chiefs.
  8. Yup. THere is a reason why he was a 7th Round draft pick. He lacks concentration. But can they stop the Run. We gave up 150+ yards to the Steelers and Falcons who were bottom feeders in running the football. If this defense wants to be a Rex Ryan led defense, then it has to first learn to STOP the RUN!
  9. this. I completely agree. The failure is on the Bills for not putting Manuel in a position to win and yet he has come close almost all the time. EJ has the right attitude to develop in a good QB and if he can get a chance to throw to Woods, Goodwin and a reliable TE, I think he can be the Franchise QB.
  10. On the flip side, the same schedule did cause hurdles. How often do you play teams coming of their bye weeks on a week by week and then when you get your bye your opponent also gets 10 days to prepare for the game. The schedule did no favors by making it a tough schedule in the first 10 games.
  11. You mean like how EJ played against the Steelers!!!! Yikes As they say a great defense is the best friend to a rookie QB. Wilson had that privilege when he had a kick A.. defense playing lights out last season. It allowed him to not shoulder the team and develop behind a *great* offensive line that also produced an excellent running game. For the Bills EJ Manuel to succeed, our defense NEEDS to stop giving up so many points. One of the worst thing that happened last game: THREE Rushing TDs....They had given up only 4 Rushing TDs the whole season (or something ridiculous like that). That was just unacceptable.
  12. I think Murray goes much earlier. Some of the good teams will take a flyer on him in Rd 2 or 3.
  13. And he has great chemistry with Woods. Woods should be his #1 option and not SJ
  14. Robert Woods is Mr. Clutch. He should be on the field more often. He adjusts his routes, catches the ball and PROTECTS It. I hope the Bills coaching staff take SJ out and put Woods in. Woods, Goodwin could be a good combination for a long time.
  15. The Bills defense was horrible on 3rd downs. On that game tying TD drive, the Falcons had a 3rd and 11 at their own 28 yard line and yet the Bills allowed him to get a first down with 13 yards catch. They gave up 151 yards rushing to one of the worst rushing team in the NFL this season. This defense lacked the physicality to manhandle one of the worst OL in football this season. This defense gave up TD after TD. 38 yard TD run to some no-name RB...are you kidding... While the offense may have fumbled at the chance to close out the game in regulation, this defense put this team in this situation to begin with.
  16. Robey did pull the WR's front collar in the end zone. Stevie gave the game away. From that point it would have been a 1st down and the Bills could have got under a 40 yard FG.
  17. Technically they couldn't have thrown the flag because Tomlin never stepped inside the field (or on the line).
  18. We have to win on Sunday to be part of those 5-7 teams that could likely be joined by the Jets or Miami and possibly San Diego.
  19. The one hurdle is that the Steelers play 3 of their last 4 at home where they are pretty damn good. Of course, that last five minutes of today's game took a HUGE toll on their starting line up.
  20. I guess posters were asked their opinion as it stand today, not four weeks from now. As it stands today, EJ is an incomplete inconsistent QB. He has not shown the "IT" consistently. Some posters take that as a failure and with the rookie salary cap being what it is feel comfortable in drafting another QB.
  21. Both Rothelisberger and Brady were game managers in their first season in the NFL as they guided their teams to the playoffs behind a strong defense and good special teams play. While EJ never may not become anywhere close to Big Ben or Tom Brady, I think he could definitely win the game for us by not making mistakes. In fact, if the Bills had stopped making critical mistakes, we could have won the games against Cleveland, Kansas City and New York Jets
  22. I curious to know which are the two impossible....I assume NE losing to Houston is one...the other ?
  23. One of the reasons for the success of Glennon could be the presence of Vincent Jackson. VJ is an awesome football player with immense talent. He is a prime time player and I think him being on the field has got to be a big help for Glennon. The question will be: Can Glennon withstand the fierce pass rush from our front four. Our front seven is playing the best now.
  24. That is not true. THe NFL has a simple rotational policy of playing the teams in a division in the other conference once every four years. This year, it is our turn to play the NFC South.
  25. Why is everyone assuming that Chris Hairston is a starter. He has not shown anything to be a consistent starter. He is a career back up. Pears is much better than Hairston.
