Bill, There are many ways in which the Bills have lost games that they should have won this season...Case in point....Kansas City.....There was a 14 point swing at the Chiefs one yard line that pretty much sealed the fate of the game. Then go back to Cleveland....If Manuel does not get hurt, we win that game....Tuel was horrible in that game. or the game against the Bengals in which special teams stunk up the joint and gave up a 30 yard punt return to allow the bengals to kick the winning FG. The point is that the LG is not the only weak spot on this team and we have lost ball games due to miscues in so many other facets of the game.

My apologies to Kyle Williams & the D-line

The problem with KW and Dareus is that they are INCONSISTENT. They cannot put two games together where they can harass the QB. -
Hey...he just said "Blue Friday"....The Bills wear as much blue as the Blue-And-White Colts!

Marrone to Spiller: Get in the O Line's face

+1. The problem was they had to decide to pay Byrd or Levitre. They chose Byrd. Unfortunately, they could not close the deal with Byrd. They gambled and lost on both. -
I don't think the OL is to blame completely for yesterday's dismal run game. Firstly, the JETS are #1 against the RUN. So it was going to be hard to run the football against that front seven. Secondly, they were stacking up the line with 8 in the box and daring the rooking QB to beat them....Manuel failed that test in week two and Passed with flying colors yesterday. Finally, our RBs are hurt badly. They are not finding the holes and getting into the secondary.

I doubt it, especially when the teams are not in the same division. I presume that if there is a multi-way tie (more than two teams) then they simply will start with Conference Record before anything else.
-
Actually, the Steelers and Cleveland need to lose at least two so that they are one game behind us. If the teams are tied, then the head-to-head will come in and we lost to both of them.

The problem are the losses to AFC Foes....Bills have lost to Steelers, Browns, Jets, three teams that are fighting for that last spot with us. We would have to have one game above them to get over the head-to-head losses. Those three losses and the losses to KC, Cincinnati and NE also hurt us. Even if they don't make the playoffs, if they finish strong in the 2nd half of season (like going 6-2), they will set themselves up for next year, assuming they can retain their defensive starters. The Jets, like us, are a very flawed team and do not yet have a strong QB. They are more likely to lose to the hot Panthers. JAX and TB are road games and are not gimmes'. The only good thing is that our defense can put pressure on their rookie or inexperienced QBs. THe question is can Manuel be CONSISTENT for a five game stretch. That is asking a lot out of your rookie QB who has missed significant time during the season.

The bills are in a tough spot. 6 of their 7 losses have come against AFC teams (NE, NYJ, Cle, Pit, KC, Cin). They would have to have a 1-game advantage over any of these teams, meaning even if we went 9-7, almost all of these teams would have to go 8-8 for us to make the playoffs.

I would trade for Big Ben for Spiller and next years 1st round pick in a snap!

+1. We are definitely getting production from this guy. Alex Carrington may find it hard to re-sign back here next off season.

The offense may be in trouble - remainder of 2013 and 2014

You do know that the Jets are #1 against the Run in the league? -
So far EJ has failed to consistently make his mid-range throws. I don't think there is any point in blaming the Coach/OC.

Robert Woods and Stevie Both Out on Sunday vs the Jets

Agreed....Marrone has been preaching from the day he was hired that everyone of his player is taught to mentally prepare as if he was a starter. It is time to show that on the field. -
Most INT in a season by a linebacker. Kiko as a shot.

Here you go: After Week 9 in the NFL: INT Leaders: Eli Manning - 15 Carson Palmer - 14 Geno Smith - 13 Andy Dalton - 10 Matt Ryan - 10 Ben Rotherlisberger - 9 RG III - 9 Flacco - 9 (5 against the Bills) Tannehill - 9 Schaub - 9 Pryor - 9 Brees - 7 Rivers - 7 Newton - 7 Cutler - 7 Gabbert -7 Peyton Manning - 6 Stafford - 6 Romo - 6 Brady - 6 (2 against Us) Wilson - 6 -
As I watch this horrible Vikings team...

Why would the Refs call that a TD...That was a good 1/2yard away from the Pylon. -
Agreed. I would have preferred a naked bootleg there on the left side. Tuel could have got to the far end of the end zone.
-
Which also means the opponents will stack up the box to stop the run, leaving him with very little space to run.

I hope they will be able to re-sign all of them especially Lawson, who I believe is on a 1-year contract. Having Lawson finish his career here would be awesome. It is strange that the Bills drafted John McCargo in the 1st round, and then signed Mario Williams and Manny Lawson as Free Agents. Mario, Lawson and McCargo were all First Round Draft picks in the same draft year and they anchored the NCST defensive line.

Not if he really has a health reason. Anyone not completely healthy (whether physically or mentally) should walk away from the game. There is nothing un-manly about it. History always teaches us that the first thing on the road to recovery is that we should first recognize that we have a problem. The solution then becomes easier. If you had an issue that could be embarrassing if seen publicly, would you still go to work everyday, knowing that people will look at you differently; bosses who will stop giving you work knowing your condition; the same goes for these guys. Just because you were given money, doesn't mean that you become a slave to your work.
