Colin Cowerd and Tim Hasselback

In week 1 I thought many of EJ's passes, including the downfield completions, looked tentative and hesitant. He stutter steps into his throws which often sailed high. It was pretty lucky that Woods and Mike didn't get killed. He had one good toss on the money to Watkins, but often his placement didn't allow for YAC. Last week there wasn't much to criticize. He missed Woods low on what would have been a TD and missed Watkins on what would have been a TD as well. His throws to Chandler and Sammy were very impressive though. -

Kellyto83TD is a TBD institution. he's highly respected for his football acumen and insight. You cannot expect him to post his opinions in any of the similar threads where they might go unnoticed. His views merit a new thread. Often lots of new threads. -
Get gugny wet and he won't let go of your leg until he's finished. Just ask beerball.

Welcome Home Chas Rheingold!!!
Jauronimo replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When you're as active and visible in the community as Rhinehole was, its easy to feel like you're on a first name basis. As much as we only had Chas Reinherd for 3 years, it felt like an eternity to most of us. He'll always be Chuck to me. Occasionally, El Chupamadre but usually we just call him Chip. -

Was that rumor ever confirmed? I've been trying to track down where that one started for years and I can only find passing references in sports forums like this one. -

Rheingarden was a big playmaker for us. The team hasn't been the same since he left. He really brought a level of pizzazz to the team and and approach to the game which is unrivaled. I expect that he'll get quite the ovation when he walks out on to the pitch. Welcome home, Rineharden!! -
Pandora 's Promise - the documentary thread
Jauronimo replied to BUFFALOKIE's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I've watched more Netflix docs than I can recall. Without Netflix I would not have the vast range of superficial knowledge about subjects that few care about. Particle Fever - i slammed a few Pumkings so that drunk me can discuss the Higgs particle at an 8th grade level. Food, Inc & Forks Over Knives - were both well done Collapse - was interesting although fear mongering and riddled with conspiracy theories The Devil Came on Horseback Escape from Suburbia Maxed Out ... What subjects are you most interested in exploring but refuse to read a book? -

Vikings place Peterson on exempt list
Jauronimo replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed, but they've bungled it even worse now dishing out the most severe punishments they can with little thought. The NFL opened themselves up to all sorts of scrutiny. The Vikings changed direction three times on this one. Its abundantly clear that they are far less concerned with the actions of their players than the PR aspects. As long as the Vikings and the league are more focused on making it all go away it will only get worse. The Rice incident was a great opportunity to put an actual policy in place and then act. Instead Goodell and the Ravens said let it blow over. Then came the TMZ shitstorm where they had another opportunity to put a policy in place. Instead the team and league panicked and administered the highest form of discipline available to them. And that almost made it go away. Almost. Until people recognized Goodell's actions for what they were and started asking questions about tapes, and when, and how. Then the AP news hits and the Vikes decide they need to act swiftly to avoid the storm and deactivate AP. Then thumb in the air they determine that the wind has died down and activate AP. But the storm changes course and outrage leads them to exempt him. Now the storm turns south and the calls have started for the Panthers to fall in line and exempt Hardy. Hasty action begats hasty action. Still no coherent policy in place and worse, now the public sees precedent. Good luck rolling this one back, Roger. Expect more shitstorms as long as every situation requires immediate action instead of thoughtful action. Minimizing domestic violence is a funny way to make a moral point. -

It is the employers right to act as they see fit. Its their right to act carefully. Its their right to act hastily and awkwardly. Its the right of the Minnesota Vikings to sway in the wind and gauge media reactions, and probe around trying to find a solution that makes this all go away. I don't think they should have exercised the right to embarrass themselves but I support their right to do so. -

Before you agree with me you should know that I'm one of those people that doesn't think that AP's overzealous punishment was the greatest crime of the 21st century which means that I tacitly condone child abuse and worse. Having any contact with me makes you just as guilty. -

Usually employers have some type of coherent and consistent process to guide them while dishing out the highest levels of disciplinary action available to them. They don't make it up as they go along desperately trying to appease the angry mob.
