  1. The idiots at OBD don't get nothing. They think the key to winning a super bowl is drafting and retaining bad or mediocre players. If they knew the importance of having good football players they'd be a perennial winner. Whaley and Brandon should suffer through some semi-literate nobody's football blog and learn a thing or two.
  2. Two posts ago you expressed pride in neither knowing or caring and now you're insulted? The victim mentality is strong with this one. I took time out of my day, time which could have been spent pursuing a hobby, to help you communicate and hopefully save you from future embarrassment and this is the thanks I get? No good deed goes unpunished.
  3. So its ignorance AND apathy. A winning combination if there ever was one.
  4. Grammar police??? In discussing whether an obvious double standard is just, you declared that there is no double standard. Thats not a technicality. I'm not calling you out on a typo or a missing comma or something completely trivial. I don't think its unreasonable to interject when the discussion starts veering into a territory where things cease to be what they most certainly are. There are limits.
  5. Its not nitpicking. Its the definition of the term. I've understand you from the start. You believe the double standard is the correct order of business. I agree, mostly, but in extreme situations I think there are exceptions to that rule. In any event, I really doubt that the Ray Rice incident falls under one these exceptions.
  6. There is no double standard when its ok for women to hit men and its never ok for a man to hit a woman? Perhaps I'm old fashioned, but isn't that the definition of a double standard?
  7. What a disaster. The Newman offensive broke through their lines and Kramer's armies scattered in every direction.
  8. How is Ray going to pick up 3rd and short when he can't even move an unconscious woman 3 feet? Rice might want to consult Darren Sharper about revamping his offseason strength and conditioning program.
  9. Latvian goaltender came to play. 2 goals allowed on 50+ shots. No one in their right mind would have thought Latvia plays Canada to a 1 goal game with Luongo on the bench.
  10. CBF is behind but I expect that he'll make up a lot of ground in the bikini round of this contest.
  11. Birddog would vote for Huntsman in heartbeat. How much more impartial can you get?
  12. Yup. I could muster total indifference at most if someone were to steal my chicken feet.
  13. Give a big hand for lybob, everyone. He'll be here all week with that one.
  14. But, but, but...fair share?!?!?
  15. What the !@#$ are you talking about?
  16. There's a difference between understanding a concept and executing. Conceptually, the importance of a "franchise" QB couldn't be any more obvious. Yet, finding one remains an exceedingly difficult exercise.
  17. How can Moeaki contribute when hes directly out of the 70s or 80s? Our scouts prefer guys like Moeaki and Chandler to players like Graham, Gronk and V. Davis. If our scouts were with the times, we would have a top 2 TE, a top 5 QB, and a Megatron at WR, but they aren't. Until our scouts learn that its not 1952 we are screwed at the TE position.
  18. I've found that the word entrepreneur is now a euphemism for unemployed and without prospects. I've met plenty of entrepreneurs over the past few years. There was one captain of industry with a granola bar start up. He lived with his folks, was tinkering with the recipe and was concerned that outside investors would compromise the integrity of his product which did not exist. There was the duo designing a video game. They were in the story phase while their friend learned basic programming skills. High end home theater solutions was a good one. One kid spending the grant that he got to attend community college buying receivers and expensive cables, but inventory never really seemed to move since he had no customers. He was the wisest and eventually completed his associates degree after 6.5 years and now is an unauthorized vendor of electronic bicycles I think.
  19. I am in shambles. Even though my initial post was the setup for Tom's completely predictable reply, I am just devastated.
  20. I would welcome Tom's reign of terror moderation. Tom considers me his intellectual peer. We go tit for tat, we jibber jab, and jabber jaw; he wins some, I win some, but at the end of the day there's a mutual respect.
  21. Well that is most unseemly. There is no place for sarcasm on the internet.
  22. I'd hire a prison MBA before half of these online and 1 year programs. Over saturated.
  23. First off, I'm hardly the most prolific violator of the TOS. Second, I think you missed the joke.
  24. How poor are we talking. Maybe in a homeless, senile, selling your body for nickels, rummaging through dumpsters for things to sell, hunting pigeons and rats type poor. Not welfare and food stamps poor. Chandler is a destitutely poor man's Gronk
