  1. Their worst loss despite winning the turnover battle. The Chargers have won the turnover battle 4 times this year: 1. A Win against Cincinnati 2. An OT Loss to the Saints 3. A Win against Jax 4. A two score loss to the Bills You will have to go back to week three when the Chargers turned the ball over 4 times to see when they were last held beneath 20 points.
  2. By struggled do you mean they led the game wire to wire, never trailed, and won by 2 scores?
  3. How about a play for 4th and 1 that calls for Gabe Davis to block Bosa?
  4. Every hot take is tonguing cheek after you get lamb basted.
  5. I was pouring through some stats today and noticed a few things which I thought were interesting about our upcoming opponents: Chargers are 3rd in yards per game, 3rd in passing yards per game, and 10th in rushing yards per game but middle of the pack in points per game. Their red zone efficiency is 58% which is 21st in the league. Chargers defense is 11th ranked in terms of yards allowed per game but 9th worst in terms of points allowed per game. So how does a top offense and a solid defense translate to 3-7?!?!? A deeper dive shows the Chargers glaring weakness is in turnover differential. Chargers -3 on the year in turnover which is 11th worst in the league, however, they are average in committing turnovers. Their turnover differential issue is all due to lack of takeaways. They are the second worst in the league in generating takeaways. Pittsburgh meanwhile has the best turnover differential in the league. They have the most takeaways and 4th least turnovers. The Titans commit by far the fewest turnovers followed by Chiefs, Packers, and Stillers. This crazy differential in turnovers likely explains how an unremarkable Stillers offense and solid defense equals a perfect 10-0.
  6. Having our 5 best OL healthy and on the field would help. Not sure if Feliciano's pec is up to the task of playing a full game at guard but ideally we'd have Dawkins - Mongo - Morse - ugh - Williams and all run plays would go left.
  7. Which is why the Rockets have won 4 consecutive titles.
  8. Ravens shut down their facilities. https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/multiple-members-of-ravens-test-positive-for-covid-19
  9. Counter point. In today's NHL we see more amazing displays of passing, stick handling, and end to end play relative to the 90s. The highlight reel moves and playmaking we see from top players like MacKinnon and McDavid, or the first lines from Tampa and even Boston as much as I hate to admit it just weren't possible back then. Scott Stevens or one of the Hatcher bros would have ended McDavid's career already. I do not really understand how having every player on the roster be a true NHL talent is a bad thing for the sport but we can agree to disagree on whether talent disparity makes for a better product. If the Sabres can put a spreadsheet in goal we might make the playoffs again in 2030 when play resumes. If you want erratic goaltending Carter Hutton is must see TV. I will always have a soft spot for the mid 90s and rivalries between western powers like Colorado-Detroit-Dallas and watching the Sabres win 2-1 games despite being outshot 45-18 while Hasek stands on his head. I grew up watching Don Cherry's Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Hockey. I loved 60 minutes of dump and chase, crash the net, drop the gloves, ugly goal hockey and rejected anything less as glorified ice dancing only fit for sissy European/Russian finesse leagues. Fights were fun but much like football watching guys take repeated blows to the head now knowing they are suffering irreparable brain damage does not enhance my viewing experience. As far as intensity and rivalries, thats more a criticism of free agency in sports rather than anything specific to the NHL. The players all know each other, they're a big fraternity. There is no more true hatred in the NHL (or NFL, NBA) outside of everyone vs Matty Tkachuk . Totally agree with moving to an international size ice rink. Some of the best hockey I have ever seen takes place at the Olympics. And yes, challenges and replay have strayed from the original intention of correcting glaring wrongs to litigating millimeters and milliseconds. I've been an advocate of smaller pads for goalies for years as well.
  10. Hockey is better now than it was during the heyday of the neutral zone trap, 2 line pass rule, and non-stop clutching and grabbing. The skill level of the players is on display now that there is time and space on the ice. Go home, Gene, you're drunk.
  11. How did you quote a post that was made 1 minute after this post? Witchcraft?
  12. Got Hill on waivers yesterday hoping he'd get a few more runs and maybe some passing attempts this week. Lining up a QB in the TE spot feels really good. Didnt he take 5 years off after college to go spread the word of Latter Day Saints? If I recall correctly he was almost burned alive by the angry natives of central Florida.
  13. Why does thread title sound like a cave man telling his parents about his alternative lifestyle?
  14. New England may be moving the ball but they are 20th in red zone trips. They simply don't get inside the 20 enough, and when they do they are 24th in red zone efficiency so they aren't scoring TDs on their red zone visits. As a result, they are 27th in points per game. Compare that to Buffalo who is 18th in red zone efficiency but tied for 2nd in red zone trips per game. Which is why Buffalo is 11th in points per game.
  15. As of today Lee Smith has a perfect stat line of: 1 target; 1 reception; 1 yard; 1 touchdown
  16. This might be the most bewildering, nonsensical bull#### I have read on TBD.
  17. ***** no one said when our defense carried the team the last 2 years.
  18. Its fairly even down the stretch but I would much rather play the Bengals and Jaguars than Picksburgh and Tennessee.
  19. I take back half of what I said about Bass. Three great kicks yesterday. He may set an NFL record for longest kick if we weren't too busy scoring TDs.
  20. And as a result we are scoring way more points this year and have a 7-3 record. We might see that D week 16 when we play New England again.
  21. In your expert opinion, what is the don't go left defense?
  22. It wasn't slight. He knocked Tre on his ass. Tre still has a chance to get a hand in there and rip the ball loose until Poyer cleans him out.
