Since there's huge amount of "poster on poster" violence going on around here lately. I'm going to do my part to increase the peace and bring back some fond memories of yesteryear. A time when life was simpler. A time when attentions were drawn to school recess, summer vacations, slot car racing and football cards with the logos airbrushed off the helmets... Of all the Bradford girls in the smash ABC show "Eight is Enough, which one did you find the hottest and why? If the ladies (and Beerbawl) of TSW want to discuss merits of Tom Bradford or David Bradford they can. (No need to bring those other two insufferable SOBs Tommy and Nicolas Bradford into the discussion) If need be I can find links to the Bradford gals for those too lazy to do a google image search I suppose...

A Brilliant idea sure to get Raph's attention

You telling him that it's "a bit harsh" in and of itself is quite harsh as well! -
I watched the game... thanks. So a pro bowl athlete at the peak of physical condition dove at knee but almost whiffed on it completely? Sounds about as valid as Willfork doesn't know how to brace himself when he "falls" at the knees of an opposing quarterback? If Suggs had wanted to "dive" at Brady's knee I think he probably would have "hit" his intended target. I never said a thing about bribing refs, so go ahead and shoot that gun in another direction mmmkay?

Oh good Lord... really? Don't you have to run out to Goodwill and buy back your Seau jersey?

Probably the phantom roughing the passer call on Tom Brady.

WTH was Edwards doing SMILING after the game
Bullpen replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
John, I see your point and respect it, maybe I over simplified things a bit, but I guess the difference between him and us is he has some options to fall back on if this little NFL hobby of his doesn't work out and (to my knowledge) he doesn't have a family to take care of other than himself, his two cats, his hamster named "Ned" and a goldfish. He's afforded the luxury of ultimately answering to himself, whereas you and I (and many others here) have to answer to a wife, children, etc... I guess that's why I've already put this loss (and others) behind me. I've moved on because I have a son. wife and a job (with not a lot of other options in this economy) and that's more important that whatever "product" the folks at One Bills Drive are going to put out there each week. The fans deserve better, but we don't get that respect from the organization, so I've just re-prioritized where the Bills fall in importance in my life this year. Hope that makes sense... and we agree to not necessarily disagree, but see things slightly different. Fair enough? -

First game in quite some time where I didn't cheer once

See post # 24 here: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?...97774&st=20 See post # 20 here: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?...97787&st=20 See post # 31 here: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?...20&start=20 I've moved on... so should you. It's quite theraputic and if some sort of miraculous turnaround happens it's remarkably exhilariting! Otherwise, you just get on with your Sundays and do something else... maybe try pulling taffy the old fashioned way, work on your short game at the local golf course, take up stained glass, learn how to walk on stilts or become the neighborhood slow-cooking bbq guru! -
I thought we hated Peters?

Why doesn't anyone care about the NHL?
Bullpen replied to Glass To The Arson's topic in Off the Wall Archives
100% agree with the representative from Calif on this one! If the Sabres win a championship (which very well could happen before the Bills) I don't care who takes notice... I've been waiting 38 years for SOMETHING! Damn you FOX!!!! You had at least ONE fan who liked the glowing puck!!!!!!!!!!!!! -

I know I had nothing to cheer about during the game. In fact, towards the end it mostly turned to pathetic laughter on my part. -

He's smiling because at the end of the day, it's a job. Granted he didn't/doesn't perform well, but just like the average Shmoe who's got a 9-5 gig, no matter how bad a day he has or how many times he was called to the bosses office, he's got a job, he's got a paycheck, he's got his health (which could be day-to-day) the way he gets sacked.... but he doesn't live and die with his daily work perfomance. Perspective: How many of us have absolutely shatty days and go out after work have a couple sips, come home and forget about it? (Those who aren't in the business of saving lives, defending a post, providing safety or medical assistance for others need not reply). I would venture to say... most of us. Trent is probably doing the same thing. When this is all said and done, he's college educated (quite well I might add) if this NFL thing doesn't work out, he's got options... this isn't life and death to him... nor should it be. All of us want the fire of Jim Kelly or the moxie of Flutie or the heart of Ferguson in our QB, but Trent just doesn't have that same make up. It's a business to a lot of these guys. The sooner we all (me included) grasp that, the better... * Note: I don't need a flame job for this post, it's just my read on it... save yourself the keystrokes and the interweb the bandwidth with flaming. -
What's OJ got to do with this?

We probably shouldn't start this again in this thread should we? I'm thinking of getting him a bar stool maybe? Thirty straight years of getting the "middle finger" and a weekly whooping from the Bills and some deviants pay women to do this? To them I say, renounce your fanship and become a Bills fan... here you get if for FREE!!!

Don't you feel a slight "chill" maybe a nagging cough coming on? Perhaps a sore throat or some congestion? Take a day/week off!!! My wife is a fins fan and she didn't even bother saying anything about the game when I got home tonight. How sad is that? We used to GLOAT for days after a victory for our respective teams. Now... nothing.

Congrats Chefy!!! I KNOW those suckers weren't in Tuscany though...

One of my friends is a Lions fan (Yes, he admits it) and during the game, he said "Welcome to Lions territory." Sadly, I can't argue with him. Much like the Lions, we invent new ways to lose (see: each Monday night game over the last two seasons), get soundly trounced by horrible teams (see: todays game) and look totally inept in every facet of the game (see: multiple sources). Sigh... at least there's playoff baseball to take my mind off it and I've got tickets for Saturday's NLDS game in Denver. Edit: The sky ain't fallen pardners... it's already fell and we're all trouncing around in it now.

I don't hate the Bills... they'll always be my team, but right now I think I'm suffering from a raging case of apathy.

I assume if history repeats itself (which it seems to do around here), we're in for another retread, someone unproved who comes at a cheap price or an assistant promoted until the end of the season, then... a retread an unproven coach who comes at a cheap price. -
Dude melted his kids swing set over a friggin Bills game?!?!? Maybe my "fanhood" doesn't run deep enough I guess.

Rack him!

Thanks to you QB's who helped my boy w/ solid advice

Oh it was horrible Gord, three yards and a cloud of dust every stinkin play, I may have thrown the ball 48 times my last year (and this was when Section IV still played an 8 game regular season schedule) It's wierd though it seems like a lot of the smaller Class C and D schools all ran the option (either a veer option, wing-t, stacked I or split back version of it)
