  1. just in theory... whomever was hoaxing him.. couldnt have found a female to talk on phone to him? haha.. god this is bizarre i should say.. IF he was being hoaxed
  2. seriously NOOO ONE from the Stanford administration thought to check this out (that she was a student).. As a Te'o fan I really hope he had zero clue about all of this. Its sick how easy it is to manipulate someone via the internet. Just like the show catfish.. Though one would think someone of his caliber would meet someone, ya know in person, but im not here to judge.
  3. Hopefully we don't judge a college kid on one game with there were 6 weeks off in between.. good or bad performance
  4. Ill say... I really thought I clicked on an old rotoworld page for a minute there
  5. According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, the Eagles have hired Chip Kelly as their head coach. http://www.rotoworld.com/ Wow...
  6. well thats only because we went 3 and out all the time (no one look up those stats!)
  7. I thought something along these very lines last night if he is in fact their main target
  8. Couldn't agree more... Brian Kelly of my beloved Irish ran a Chip Kelly style at Grand Valley State (title) then Cincinnati BCS #3 and he tried it at Notre Dame. He then realized he did not have the personnel for it and he adapted to a ball control, running, defense oriented team.. How'd that work out for him. He is an innovate coach just like Chip and innovating coaches find new ways to make things work. Please spare me about the fact that Grand Valley State isnt the NFL! I love all the different coaching options we currently have but honestly, ask yourself... what on earth do we have to lose trying to be trend setters going forward??
  9. Why do people think he is going to run the exact same offense. They aren't potentially offering him $40m to run the same plays. they are paying him to adapt to the nfl, be a trend setter and be able to change on the fly and keep up and be ahead of new trends. AKA opposite of the past three years.
  10. Sorry if this was mentioned... has it come out when Kelly interviews today?
  11. I don't want anyone to take offense to this.. but just because Kelly is a great college coach doesn't equate him to Saban just because he's a great college coach (go irish!), in my opinion its a bit of a lazy comparison. Its like comparing RG3 to Vick just because of obvious features. How does Chip Kelly remind you of Saban in any way other than they coach winning programs? I'm actually curious, not trying to hurt your point/argument.
  12. Is the pats run defense good or are they up 10+ due to their offense which forces other teams to throw more often?
  13. Im diehard ND fan and have been amazed by Stanford the past few years. The way they play, winning a rose bowl after losing Luck, he's an outstanding coach. Harbaugh started it all when they won at USC 4 years ago for the first time In ages and Shaw has continued it with no hiccup. Not to Mention holding Oregon to 14 in OT @ Autzen stadium in Eugene But as we all said he doesn't seem too likely to make a a move this year which is fine. I like our candidates at this time and am excited for the future.
  14. I saw he did sign extension but I don't even "respect" that because of coaches moving around all the time ya know??
  15. I am all for Kelly. Let's potentially get ahead of the curve for once!! I want us to dictate the flow rather that 13 more years of always reacting and reacting slowly I also love David Shaw from Stanford but he hasn't been mentioned to anyone let alone Buff
  16. Right, obviously I wouldn't expect Groves to "be in the know" but with the Bills talking to all his coaches its not impossible that he talked to them about their interviews as friends. I am by no way saying we should all be hitting f5 due to his random tweet to shefter, but its not impossible for him to have an idea.
  17. Here's the new bizarre tweet of the day from an Arizona Cardinals LB Sal is on it!
  18. Their defense was on the field all day due to lack of offensive success. Same type of thinking why the Pats are always good at run defense... they are consistently up 14 points and other teams throw every down to catch up.
  19. I truly think the biggest factor is as follows. Regardless if we all think Russ has been in essence calling the shots for the past few years with minimal input from Ralph, the rest of the league wasn't so sure, nor did they give a crap. IMO they assumed a 94 year old owner was calling the shots from Detroit and now they know officially that its not the case, that has got to change the way others view this opportunity as a potential landing spot for coaches, players etc.
  20. Exactly.. he hit a 61 yarder then hit the post from 38 (tipped by carrington)
  21. He is THE guy in my opinion. Would absolutely love it but am not holding my breath
