The window is closing a lot faster than fans realize. Kyle will be 33 next year and based on his injuries I doubt he can stay healthy for even 11-12 games, let alone play at a high level. Mario is also on the wrong side of 30. He's certainly not in his prime anymore and on the decline. Ten years on the line takes a heavy toll.

The hypocrisy is pretty bad. You can walk in almost any bar in WNY and find a Keno machine to play or buy scratch-off tickets out of a vending machine. Can't tell you how many times I've been stuck behind someone buying hundreds of dollars worth of Lottery tickets at the gas station register.

Our linebackers are sub-par. I know this won't be popular around here, but Preston Brown is very mediocre. I'm not just saying this because he missed a tackle today that went for big yards. He doesn't move laterally particularly well, he's not really a thumper that can stand up a guard in a gap, and his coverage skills leave a lot to be desired. He'll make a play now and then but he's just as likely to disappear for a few weeks.

Yeah, from the people that don't watch the games and just look at stats. It's more like "If Carr was the Bills' QB the fans would run him out of town after his first bad game like EJ." I heard that a lot about any rookie QB that we could have had. Yeah, right. It's looking like both Oakland and Minnesota dug themselves out of QB Purgatory.

The sad thing is we are wasting a cupcake schedule. The AFC south is the worst division in football by far, and the NFC East is nothing but mediocrity. And we can't beat them. The Sabres will make the playoffs before the BIlls.

i watched their TB matchup to see Winston. Bortles looked pretty good, although I don't think too highly of the TB defense. He's better than the guy we have under center Sunday, that's for sure.

It was a nice gesture by us to kick in $6M for his retirement package. I'd say I "was in a good place" too under those circumstances. A damn good place.

EJ Manuel will never be a starting QB in this league. Not today, not in 2016, not in 2020. If you could resurrect Bill Walsh and have him coach EJ he still would not ever be a starting NFL QB. The game simply moves too fast for him. Rex Ryan knows it, Greg Roman knows it, and heck, even Doug freaking Marrone knew it. If fact, the only people that don't get it are a few vocal EJ Dreamers that wouldn't be able to assess QB play if Aaron Rodgers drilled them in the face. That was a dreadful performance yesterday. Even the passes he completed were often off target and forced receivers to bail him out. He makes Trent Edward look like a gunslinger. If you watched that game and thought he did a good job, you need to put down the clipboard and retire from armchair QB scouting. That game is also Exhibit A on how stats can be deceiving.
