  1. Bill Barnwell gets it. The Cowboys' O-line is the real NFL MVP so far "Do you know how many times Elliott was even touched by a Steelers player on his three touchdowns? Zero. Elliott traveled 129 yards from scrimmage on those three plays and never even had to beat an unblocked defender one-on-one." When I see the holes that Dallas line creates it reminds me of the early 90's Dallas line. Elliott's a good player, but nowhere near as good as those stats.
  2. Make sure you stay away from Dihydrogen Monoxide.
  3. I don't think anybody is evaluating the team in a vacuum. You can't evaluate them at all until they get reasonably healthy (nor can you compare them to another rebuilding team). Foligno, Larsson, and Gionta playing on the 2nd line is not part of "the plan." And just as Montreal was elevated when their best player returned, so will we. Whenever that is.
  4. Oh I agree. It's not that Bogo and Kulikov are world-beaters, there's just no one left to help when they go down. Watching players crash into our crease untouched while Casey Nelson stands around is maddening. You can't say that yet, because we haven't seen them on the ice together. I don't think our 1st line has logged 60 minutes of game time yet.
  5. Best line from that article is that they now operate in Kazakhstan but still can't in Buffalo. Here's the link to the petition they mention
  6. They're simply not a good enough team to win without their 2 best players. The back end is thin even when healthy.
  7. If Leger Douzable manages to become the impetus that tips the scales and brings Uber Statewide then I will consider this season a success.
  8. Right. Nothing to do with coaching. Just luck.
  9. Ok, it's definitely better than Wannstedt's defense.
  10. I watched him play 3 or 4 years ago for the Ravens and I thought he was pretty good in the box. He's a hard hitter, but pretty terrible in coverage. Not sure that's what our secondary needs at this point but whatever. Oh yeah, I think he picked off Andy Dalton like 4 times one season, so that's probably the thought process here. lol Rex
  11. Cincy looks like they've checked out for the season.
  12. Yolo that quote makes it sound like Senator Funke is against ride sharing, but he is in fact one of it's biggest supporters. And he's right, it's ridiculous.
  13. I like that call too. Seen Brady have far too many game winning (tying) drives.
  14. The buildings that burned were just storage warehouses now and by comparison are some of the "smaller" buildings. A friend sent me this picture that gives an idea of the scope. The small red triangle is what burned in the fire. All the land to the west of that across Route 5 was once Bethlehem Steel.
  15. That's the quantifiable part. Going to cost him a lot more in FA.
  16. Great game, lot of great football today.
  17. We're 4-5 in November, not sure what people expect to see here. Posts about who should go on the Wall of Fame? 100% in agreement with you. Completely disagree. Back on board and in agreement, but that's a best case scenario if the stars align perfectly, and obviously not this year.
  18. We weren't catching these teams before today's games. We're in 3rd place in our own division lol
  19. Agreed. He needed to make strides as a passer this year and it just isn't happening. Heck of a scrambler, though.
  20. Just realized this is the first time we've had our #1 line together since the 2nd period of the season opener.
  21. The commercials are a huge part of it. After every score, quarter, 2 minute warning, some kickoffs, turnovers, challenges, injuries, etc, etc. I was watching a game Sunday and this happened: 2nd and goal team calls timeout -- commercial break team scores -- commercial break kickoff, downed in endzone -- commercial break There was 1 actual play surrounded by about 5 or 6 minutes of advertising. In yesterday's Ravens/Browns game a pass was intercepted with 10 seconds left in the 1st quarter. Commercial break, run 1 play and end the quarter, break for commercial. It just reeks of greed.
  22. The fire departments should have a drone for large scale fires like this.
  23. I'll be watching all the football games live as usual. Monday night game as well.
  24. A lot of fans enjoy seeing their team play on Sunday/Monday night. The NFL likes high TV ratings. Teams that draw a poor national audience are less likely to appear on Sunday/Monday night.
  25. The fire is on the east side of Route 5, not the large portion of the old plant on the lake. It's right next to residential homes.
