You're a little late to the party, like the 4th person in on that comment. If you read on, you'll see that I clarified it more as Whaley. It wasn't as much as an evaluation as it was Rex campaigning/demanding we get the guy.
But Taylor certainly was evaluated and scrutinized by our scouts -- back in 2011. They obviously felt it was more imperative to draft Chris White in the 6th round over him.
They have one of the top (if not the top) receiving tandems in the league.
They're going to push for a wildcard this year, and I think they can get it.
I thought that was pretty evident last year when we brought in players like Harvin, IK Enemkpali, Taylor, and Felton.
It's a collaboration of course, but I think it's pretty clear who wears the pants in this relationship.
Well, nickel would go 3-3-5. You would have 3 LBs on the field. I would guess Hughes and S.Lawson aren't coming off the field with Zach Brown as the Mike. I mean, I thought that's why we got Brown, he's one of the fastest ILBs in the league.
I expect up to be nickel around 50% of the time. Can he stay on the field in nickel? He had issues in college and as we all know things only get faster in the NFL. If he is not a liability in nickel, then it's a fine pick. Otherwise....
Because I don't think he's a 3 down LB. We'll see when teams go hurry up to try and trap him on the field.
If you're going to trade up, then trade up for Jack.
