Say Weeden is there in Round 2

Really ? Miami is so dysfunctional right now I could see them trading up to get him -
Not a Good Showing for Jonathan Martin, OT, Stanford
Dragonborn10 replied to Owen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With Bell's injured shoulder, how many reps of 225 do you think he could do??? I thought Martin was the guy but now maybe Floyd. So many reasons to trade down. Hopefully someone slides down like Coples that another team needs. -
Who would you like to see the Bills get?
Dragonborn10 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Either sign Bell or extend Levitre and draft Jonathan Martin. An incentive laden deal for Bell would be fair to both sides and would leave room to extend Levitre now. -
Johnson is a 30 yr old 4-3 player. He is a first and second down DE and a passing down and distance DT. Being able to play both may be his biggest asset. I see Kelsay only as 4-3 DE and can't imagine him as an OLB again. Dwan Edwards is a 30 year old 3-4 DE and should be traded for a 7th round pick, a blocking sled, or released. Arrington, well who knows what he is. He was drafted as a 3-4 pass rushing DE. Then he was switched to a 3-4 OLB and lastly back to a 4-3 DE or even at times DT. I see him as the backup to Mario at DE. My DL going into camp: Mario Williams, Kyle Williams, Dareus, Anderson, Arrington, Troupe, Heard, Johnson, Kelsay and two undrafted FA's for trainging camp bodies. I think they keep 8 DL. Heard or Johnson will fight for the last spot and I suspect his age and the cap space provided by letting Johnson go will be the determining factors.

DE Mark Anderson in Buffalo (SIGNED)
Dragonborn10 replied to SKRAAPY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Kelsay should stay. He is servicable at worst at DE and at times plays well. Johnson and Edwards are gone if they sign Anderson or a DE in the top three picks of the draft. Troup and Heard fill the DT rotation. -

Goodell lowers boom on the Saints
Dragonborn10 replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Holy ****... This is an incredible punishment. I hope there is no trickle down effect to Buffalo. I thin this is Godell sending a message to the players that I will be as serious with management as I will be with you. Player safety is going to be number one priority. There is no way he will get the 18 games the owners so desperately want without a reduction in player inmjuries. 18 games makes the NFL millions of more dollars. If it means slowing the game down and making it less violent Godell is going to do it. Wow - I am still stunned. -

DE Mark Anderson in Buffalo (SIGNED)

No and neither is Nix. -
Jonathan Martin unless Floyd has a crazy good pro-day. There is no DE/OLB that if taken at ten you can say is any better than the guy taken at 25. Martin fills a need and grades out by all accounts around the tenth pick. He played in a pro-system. Floyd gives the offense another weapon and maybe Chan thinks a combination of Hairston, keeping Freddie in the backfield to block, and quick throws is good enough to keep Fitz upright.
-
In light of Miami's debacle at QB I think they continue panic mode and reach for Tannehill. I still say it is Jonathan Martin at 10. Don't see Floyd cracking the top 10 either, but if he is top 10 material then maybe someone would be willing to move up a few spots to get him so we can move back and maybe pick up an extra third or a second next year. This is the perfect year to move back for OLB. The DE/OLB class is deep and muddled. No true standout better than any other. Ingram, Coples, Perry, et al are all the same flavor.
-
I started a vote on this and there were very few takers. If the Bills were picking at 18 or 20 I think the move would make sense but if Jonathan Martin is there at #10 take him and pencil him and Levitre together for a very long time. LT is just too much of a need to go after Wallace and the money doesn't make sense either.

The Offensive Line Doesn't Matter
Dragonborn10 replied to Rob's House's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bell is worth bringing back only if his deal does not hamper the ability to resign Levitre. Regardless of what they do with Bell, Jonathan Martin #10. -
Trade him to Miami for a marlin fishing trip and a round of golf at Trump's golf course ... if he makes the roster then we get a cart for the round of golf

PFT- Ryan Clark (PIT) Mocks the Dolphins

Miami went from 1-15 to the playoffs in one year. We can start bashing other teams when the Bills end the longest active streak of no playoffs in the NFL -
why our 3/4 didn't work
Dragonborn10 replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chris Kelsay, OLB ...nuff said -
Sign Levitre now. Waive the baggage of Edwards, Johnson, and Smith. Hold off on Byrd until mid-year and see if he is a real difference maker in the secondary or not with a new front 7. I'm not sold on him and in fact I think George Wilson at FS ans Searcy at SS may be just as good at less cost.
-
Anybody think they kick Dareus out to DE and Mario to OLB on passing downs? Since Mario was doing well at 3-4 OLB I wonder if they mix in the 3-4 more than we think.

WTH are the Dolphins thinking?
Dragonborn10 replied to Bud Adams's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you are a Dolphins fan and they sign Flynn, then you are thinking exactly what Buffalo fans dis after trading for Rob Johnson. Many thought we had the QB for the futre. They will think the same thing. Still amazes me that no one could tell Johnson(and Losman) were just too dumb to play the position. Flynn may be smart enough but his noodle arm will not cut it in the NFL, West coast system or not. -
Carrington should be the starter at RDE. Draft a back up. Kelsay and Edwards should be let go and that cap space should be used for a WR or TE. The DT rotation is set for the next five years.

Favorite Theory for the Presser Delay

Pen was wide right of the signature line. He doesn't want to sign a contract with no goals to achieve. He is looking for music on his Ipod that is a throwback to his miracle first pick in the draft that stunned the city he was supposed to go to. -

What is the record on TBD for pages in one thread? Either way tomorrow I bet it hits 200. -
Mario Williams: Officially a Buffalo Bill
Dragonborn10 replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Buffalo will be the laughingstock of the NFL if Mario leaves tomorrow. He will probably make the Bills fly him to his next interview.
