I cannot think of any reason why I would want to pose for a pic near a guy who murdered his own kids mother and another innocent human being. These guys in the pic are just some of many people who even now are adding to OJ's sense of invincibility re his celebrity. I think AH had the same sense that he too could get away with anything as well. Would Pats fans be so desperate that they would have their photos taken with AH if he had gotten away with it too? Pathetic!!

The MMQB: Dareus Says Marrone is a Changed Man
Livinginthepast replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I bet he was dismissive when Marcel offered his excuses for being late or doing whatever dumb thing he had just done and probably only offered up " because I was high?" as an explanation. -
I sure as hell hope he does make things more like college.. ie INTERESTING!!!!! Nothing was worse than watching that boring Bills offense last year, with its boring vanilla plays and its complete lack of deception and total lack of sophistication. It was like Dennison was completely terrified of what TT might do if he called a complex play. TT for his part apparently cannot execute a complex play even if its designed for him!! Watching the Bowl games and national championship always brings me back to why I love football as a sport. You see innovative and aggressive offensive units who are unafraid to unleash their players! I hope we get some of that next year!

Refs for the Championship games are....
Livinginthepast replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Kraft must be furious he wasn't given his usual gang of crooks or incompetents for the game. A guy who has never had a Pats game???? How dare they. I expect Emperor Kraft to be sending his emissaries bearing "gifts" as we speak to Blakeman's house. He has probably already got to the underlings already. Gotta get your ducks in a row for the big game!! -
I shake my head at guys like Dareus. The same way I cannot understand guys like Karlos Williams or all the other morons who have made it to the NFL and instead of being grateful for being the best of the best and getting paid like a king, decide instead to blow it by acting stupid, doing drugs whatever . Dareus is not a particularly skilled player. He got to the NFL by his rare genetics of being the size of a house. For him to not appreciate where he is at in life or how much he got paid and is getting paid is pretty galling. All you have to do is show up on time, avoid some vices and you'll make enough for life, for your kids lives, grandkids, parents whatever. He had so many chances to get it right here and he was lazy entitled and stupid. He just sounds like a petty little man for such a big guy. Good riddance and good luck avoiding the next personal f'up when you get suspended for a year.

R. I. P. Keith Jackson
Livinginthepast replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pretty much all the legends from my childhood watching the NFL and NCAA are gone. Dick Enberg, Merlin Olsen, Charlie Jones, Keith Jackson, all the MNF guys (Cosell, Meredith, Gifford), Pat Summerall all dead. Madden, Criqui and Trumpy maybe the only ones left along with Al Michaels who came a little later. Getting old sucks, lots of fond memories with those guys. -
Was Saints loss equivalent to Homerun Throw-Forward?
Livinginthepast replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Both the HRTB and the Minni game end crushed their respective fan bases. The first thing I thought after I saw the Vikings TD is wow I feel for the Saints fans because I had a flood of memories of the Titans kickoff TD. That feeling of being dumbfounded and emotionally crushed in disbelief at the same time. Saints fans are probably still in a stupor questioning what they just saw. That's how I felt as I watch the Bills blow it on that kickoff return. Too bad that Steve Christie had lost his leg strength by that stage of his career and couldn't kick it threw the endzone. Then again we would have probably lost to the 99 Jags anyway. -
William's, Billy's, Billy Bob's, Bilbo's, Guillaume's, Guillermo's, .....that's about it.

I've lost all of my Saint Doug hate...
Livinginthepast replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Never hated him in the first place. Never really liked him either. I thought overall he was an uninspiring choice as coach and an uninspiring coach. When he had that on field blowup at practice with Whalley? the dysfunction in the whole organization was apparent. I don't blame him for walking away. I will also add that Marrone saw EJ for what he was and what he was ever going to be and at least had the balls to go out and get a viable NFL QB in Orton. In any case Marrone has won 2 playoff games and built a strong D and got the best out of a marginal QB. You have to give him credit. like his personality or not. All these people who somehow hate Marrone and want the Pats to crush the Jags?? How petty can you get? You begrudge Marrone and his success and want the biggest most arrogant dbags , the Pats to win another championship? Give your head a shake. You are acting like a jilted boyfriend whose ex girlfriend has found happiness without you. Time to move on!! -
Down to Four - Which Team Are You Rooting For and Why?
Livinginthepast replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Vikings!! win one for Dennis Green!, Win one for Bud Grant!, Win one for Fran "that's incredible" Tarkington. They are 4 time losers like us and they are due. 2nd I would take the Jags, Yes even Doug Marrone deserves to be a winner instead of a weiner. 3rd Philly. and a very distant 4th the Pats. -
GDT: Saints at Vikings
Livinginthepast replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
just a rule question, is PI not a PEN on an uncatchable pass?? Didn't look like the Keenum pass to the endzone was catchable yet PI was called. That used to be the rule long ago. -
He has college and NFL experience. I hope he can be innovative and make adjustments. The National Championship game showed him and Saban make some bold moves and play calling. I am cautiously optimistic!!
-
I am hoping that St.Doug is humble enough to learn from the master patriot slayer. If he can take advice from Coughlin and if the refs can stay out of it and they somehow get some breaks they can win. Of course the chances of this kind of interplanetary alignment of luck/strategy and refs is very rare vs the Pats!
-
That game was like a showcase of terrible coaching and play calling decisions for the Steelers. Hard to believe that Tomlin won a SB with such bad decision making thinking on his feet.
-
So they didn't even bother to try an onside kick they just conceded and kicked it down field??!!! WHAT??!!! I know its low percentage like probably 1% chance of a TD there but what the hell give it a try!!
-
Here we go Onside Kick for a TD!!! I have only ever seen one go the other way for a TD but good luck Steelers!
-
You have to give credit to the Jags they have been clutch all day today. Big plays, big responses, they have gone toe to toe in a slug fest with a more experienced team with a 2time SB winner at QB. I disrespected them a lot before the Bills game but they have proved me wrong.
-
Wow worst onside kick ever, would have probably worked vs the Bills though had the Steeler player not touched it.
-
wow another wicked pass TD backwards!!! this game is awesome!
-
You cannot be serious!! You would begrudge Marrone and the Jags over the Pats?? Cmon the Jags beat us fair and square. They are smashing the Steelers, if they beat the Pats they would deserve all the credit in the world.
