  1. Possibly the unlikeliest scenario concerning the Bills I have ever seen.
  2. FFS read the entire thread ! no just read my response which is right below my original response ON THE SAME PAGE 1 of this thread HERE it is: Rookie Members 13 408 posts Report post Posted Wednesday at 02:20 PM I should have read the article! I take back my critique of Rex. He is now slightly LESS of a loser than I thought. But was the call Whaley's or the Pegula's? to bench TT. last year? the article doesn't confirm where the order originated.
  3. Wow I still cant believe they benched Eli. No I can believe that, he has been very poor all season and been on a downward trajectory for a couple of years. Actually what I cant believe is that they benched him for Geno Smith. Eli is so bad that they believe that Geno Smith gives them a better chance for victory? That must be BAD. Conversely they could think that Geno starting gives them a better chance at defeat and higher draft picks. There maybe method in the madness after all.
  4. Belichick has the built in excuse of Art Model deep-sixing the 1995 season by telling them they were moving to Baltimore. Of course that would have a huge effect on the team. However they went from 11-5 in 1994 to 5-11 in 1995 and even that article states some of the issues that were on a slow burn with the team and Belichick that may have imploded the team anyway. I actually remember the Monday night game when the Browns played the Bills in 1995. The hype on that broadcast about Belichick and the Browns was huge and the Bills were just considered an afterthought. It was sickeningly bias. I remember it annoying me and I got a lot of satisfaction that the Bills got a measure of revenge vs Belichick for the SB loss because the defeat in this game on national television clearly embarrassed him. The bottom line is without Brady, Belichick is like Wade Philipps, a pretty good defensive coach but not the greatest coach ever. I don't think Belichick wins even 1 SB without golden boy Tom.
  5. Cleveland? He was 36-44 there and was fired in 1995.
  6. I don't think rubbing it in and crushing your opponents to the point of humiliation is the sign of a good coach. More like the sign of an insecure weirdo. He's a great coach but that particular tendency that Bellichick has (that he has shown several times in his coaching career) is bizarre.
  7. Dude, I already did my "mea culpa" in a previous post long BEFORE you posted and yes I realize that Rex went down on his own sword. Do I have your forgiveness now?
  8. Bellichick always lays on the praising BS thick during the week before a game. Then he proceeds to exploit and destroy all those players that he mentioned were so great during the week before. Exposing himself as being disingenuous. He will talk about how much he respects the coach of the opposing team then rub the loss in his face. He did that to Dick Jauron (who he supposedly liked) during the Sunday night pummeling (56-10) loss, constantly going for 2 and running up the score. I've never seen a more obvious attempt at humiliating a team and coach ever!!

  10. Pretty obvious this was the case. Must be pretty embarrassing for Rex to admit. I would have ignored the order. He was a lame duck by that stage anyway, why not stand up for yourself and make the owners fire you then. The writing was on the wall anyway for Rex yet he caves? Makes him seem even more of a loser than I thought!
  11. This has been the pattern for most of the drought. Never good enough to win a playoff spot but never bad enough (except for Gregg Williams 3-13) to draft even close to the first pick. We also haven't had any luck from other teams losing when they were supposed to. It will be particularly galling this year if we don't make it. We should have won both the Carolina and Cincinnati games. I just hope at least we have a win and your in scenario for the last game.
  12. First of all, the coach will be fired before Eli will be cut. You cant just cut a 2X SB winner. He has earned tenure there with the ownership. Second if Eli was cut why in the hell would he come here? He has earned millions. Why would he put his body on the line with this porous oline. If he was cut and he did want to keep playing (which is debatable) he would be extremely careful to choose a team with a Oline that would give him time to succeed. Not happening here soon.
  13. Its difficult to beat Brady but not impossible. I don't know why coaches in this league don't watch previous Patriot losses and dissect what works for the winning team and if or how that can be mimicked by their own. Wait I do know why, most coaches in the league are morons. Anyway, if you remove all the chance factors or mistakes that the Pats might make in a game (very few) and focus on how to limit the damage Brady can do rather than to try to neutralize him you might have a chance. I honestly think the OP was right. If you don't want him killing your defense with passes then keep him off the field as much as possible. Don't give him the ball EVER!!
  14. 2009 McKelvin choke fest takes the cake for frustration. But for pure embarrassment the 56-10 loss by Jauron's team on SNF is probably my angriest moment as a Bills fan. Bellichik kept going for 2 even with the score way out of hand. The Bills couldn't stop anything and they kept Brady in the game to throw even more TDs and extra pts. All the while wimpy Jauron just looked on with his 1000 yard stare completely helpless. Instead of manning up the coach and the players just put their asses up like a submissive dog. If Jauron had even one small iota of balls or pride he should have called an all out suicide blitz at Brady and broken him in half. Instead he did what Jauron did best, stare uselessly with no clue. Still enrages me every time I think about it.
  15. Brady has to be hurting after the Fins relentlessly pounded him yesterday. Even though they got burned on some of those blitzes they had a great gameplan to wear Brady down. The problem for us is that I don't think we can come close to what they did based on how poor our pass rush has been. There has never been a QB as great as Brady for not just getting rid of the ball but zinging it out there with incredible accuracy while under duress. Also Brady unlike other humans, shows no discernible effects even when he gets hit on his throwing arm/hand/etc. He seems to take hits that would ruin the throwing motion of a regular QB like he was getting bumped by Pop Warner players. Hopefully they can jam up the receiving lanes and somehow get some pressure. Or it will be the usual long day vs the Pats.
  16. Tyrod throwing for 500 yards WOULD be an act of God!!
  17. Lets be honest, banning them was really stupid. Stevie J getting a penalty for doing that rifle shot after the TD in NE was particularly stupid. The NFL denied the existence of concussions and focussed on banning celebrations, unbelievable!!
  18. Aikman's ok. I don't think he sucks not like Solomon "everybody knows your name ladanian David Beckham JR" Willcots SUCKS. Its nice to get a color guy like Romo who is honest. Too many shills for the NFL in broadcasting who spout nonsense and cant even look at an HD slo mo replay and see obvious things.
  19. The Bills need to pull a page from Lawrence Taylor's winning playbook and send some of WNY's finest Ho's to the Patriots hotel room Saturday night. Of course golden boy Tom will not partake but some of the other weaker morally challenged Patriots will crumble!! Its the only chance we have!!
  20. Yes that was amateur hour direction there, never seen that before!
  21. Being a Bills Masochist, I just watched it again on YT. Wow that was epically bad officiating!! Cost the Bills a home playoff game vs the Fins.
  22. I remember Wade and the Bills being so angry at that bogus call that there no Bills players on the field for the PAT. Terrible PI right after a bogus ball spot gave the Pats a 1st down. Still angry at that call.
  23. Easily the worse call this year vs the Bills and arguably the worst ever. I just have no idea what he thought he saw?? Watch the receiver's head it doesn't look like it gets touched, moved or anything. Did he think that Gaines speared him with the helmet. If he did then he should retire now or be fired because he is blind. If he wasn't sure and made a game changing call like that when he wasn't 100% then fire his ass as well. I may have had a small aneurysm raging at my TV after watching that play!!
  24. Its pretty scary looking at those teams in sports who were "cursed" and never won a championship in decades like the Red sox, Cubs and then thinking about how close we were . Sure we can demolish the stadiums but the bitter memory will remain until we finally win one!
  25. Revis was probably one of the best ever at his position in his first 5 years. I find it hard to believe that he has nothing left in the tank. He came back from a serious knee injury in 2012 and although he wasn't the same star he once was, he still had quality and teams still sometimes avoided testing him. In 2015 he had 5 INTs. When I heard he had signed for KC I was surprised that nobody had taken a look at him before this. In fact I thought he was still with the Jets. My 2nd thought was why didn't we think of trying him out? Our D has been horrible lately and has been banged up here and there. throughout the season. A vet like that might have helped our secondary and added some depth for a bargain price. But isn't that obvious?
