  1. Yep. Those were the guys.
  2. Did Pat McGroder only play 12 games for the Bills or did he slide short of a first down? I thought those were the two criteria that mattered.
  3. Pat McGroder??? Pat McGroder?????? You guys are whining about Orton and we have Pat McGroder?????? Smh
  4. Ummm, pretty sure they are. Check the stadium next time you're there.
  5. Please, please, please...free your mind. Look at Orton as a Picasso. It doesn't look great on the surface...but when you step back, look at the colors, the depth, the strength of the picture, the joy it provides and the historical context, how can you question his spot as a landmark in the history of our beloved franchise. If Kelly is a Monet, Thurman is a Michael Angelo and Orton (given his spot during the doldrums of 6-10 seasons) is every bit of artistry as the others who are on that wall.
  6. Do you like gladiator movies?
  7. He played for 8 seasons or so but (just like James Lofton) look at the entirety of his career. Once you look at his career in totality and extrapolate his early year stats to the same measurables as a Buffalo Bill (yardage, TD's, rushing yards, winning season and character/leadership) I would suggest there's no question he qualifies for a spot on the Wall. Don't listen to these other haters...it's ok to admit it.
  8. Typical Joe B. comments. Here's how he analyzes things: "Lesean is good. The Falcons have an ok defense." "Charles Clay is good. He's better than Ebron". "If we can use Lesean and Clay, and if our O line plays "good" we should have a "good" offensive day".
  9. All these statue and urinal uphemisms makes me think you guys believe Orton had no motor. Marrone was gonna have Orton dabble in the read option, as I recall, but opted instead to utilize his arm (which was a smart call IMO). Still, when you consider his rushing yards on a year over year basis from 2007, he would easily surpass Tyrod in both yardage passing (that's given) and rushing.
  10. This point could be made all day long...Kenny Davis was basically a back up RB and he's on the Wall. Same for Frank Reich and he lost a lot of games for us...he's up there. So Orton was our starting field general, brought us a winning season in the midst of a post season famine, yet he is deprived his rightful place in Bills football lore simply because he "slid his best" to get a first down? Sometimes sacrificing your body isn't enough I guess.
  11. Iroquois Middle School...70's. Yes...nude. And the pool was freezing cold. Graduated up to "ball huggers" in high school if you forgot your swim suit.
  12. Thanks for explaining this to the naysayers. Some of these guys will never comprehend how you have to judge a WOF candidate not just for his contributions to our team but his growth and professionalism overall (before and after his playing days with the Bills). Had he started from day one, we'd have multiple banners in our stadium.
  13. I bet you're right. Gravitational pull and all that I guess.
  14. This Stats don't lie. Well done. Wait for it....3,2,1...."but he slid short of the first down". It's coming.
  15. Kids these days are persistent. It's too bad. Eventually, my son or daughter will meet up with those kids and the playing field will be tilted back in my kids' favor.
  16. Alpha also didn't get the screen capture of Tyrod Taylor ever throwing for over 300 yds in regulation...or the final standings after his two seasons showing a winning season. I would be happy to send those pics of 300 yd games or a winning season but my google search timed out. Oh wait...some guy above said I shouldn't bump this thread but I can't sit back and watch people castigate the only successful QB in a Bills uni in the last 15 yrs. #kyleonthewall
  17. Didn't realize Tyrod delivered us a winning season and a gift wrapped playoff spot (but for decision to start EJ for four games). If I'm wrong please post link. I'll hang up and listen.
  18. 9-7 is no joking matter (11-5 if Orton started from day one). But no...keep dwelling on his slide as per Marrone's direction. Gawd...does no one understand the significance of this man in the history of our franchise? A beacon of light that called us to the end of a rainbow named Lombardi. We tasted success, we sipped from the cup of victory and now we spit that sweet taste on the floor and say "but he slid!" I, for one, will keep these posts in my memory bank of ungrateful fans and now you made the list.
  19. Yep. Same here. Either you wore the school issued "ball huggers" or nude. I opted against the ball buggers because of how well endowed I am.
  20. There you go again with the "sliding first down" argument. If I had a nickel for every time someone brought this up I'd be a rich man. I seem to remember Thurman forgot his helmet during a Superbowl...he's "Wall worthy". I recall Joe Ferguson hanging his head in shame after a third interception in multiple games...he's "Wall worthy". How 'bout Bruce Smith not attending pre season training camp because he didn't feel like it...yep, "Wall worthy". Then there's Marv Levy who lost four Superbowls...he's on that Wall. Yet the success we enjoyed during the 90's seems to be a dream, a mirage of our Glory Days without any warm glow of a return to the big game....until 2014...that's when we had that chance. We had a fire in our bellies, we walked the walk and had the first winning season in the time it takes most people to raise a 12 year old. This time in our team history was due to one man, one vision, a plethora of skills and leadership traits....and all you can do is point to one play where he slid to the ground when his coach told him to?? Tsk, tsk. Here's an idea: instead of criticizing success and leadership, let's reward the man with the accolades he deserves. I've about had it with this argument of yours and I'm fired up. Bring it on!
  21. We all try to be great parents...my problem is being a control freak and when others bullied my kids it was out of my control. That and seeing your kids cry over the course of two or three years is a painful experience. Thankfully, my kids have adapted and come to realize middle and high school was a blip on the screen of life and there are many, many good friends they have made since that time in college and in high school.
  22. LOL. Rory got the gift that keeps on giving.
  23. Pitch me on Tindale. I'm listening but Tindale and Darrick Holmes are a close second IMO.
