I rather have so-so young guys than older ones. With the older ones you got what you got, but younger guys have the potential to improve. Your WR core got younger, but now Jones and Nelson are no longer on any roster. At QB, Thigpen is out of football and Fitz didnt even challenge for a #1 position. So, when a team is short talent to improve you would have to get younger. Now lets hope these young guys limit the rookie mistakes.

Even if EJ is healthy for week , I bet that another QB will get signed. Lewis was not retained because he stinks. I know the stats look ok but he cant throw the ball. Fred would do better, if it comes to that.

I think its a reasonable roster. The only possible differences is the WR position. I think Easly played so much in preseason is to see if he could stay healthy, and he did. So I think he has a shot.

Lets not put the cart in front of the horse. The only thing Lewis did last night is earn the spot to backup Tuel in the opener. Doesn't mean he is good, but just the best option at this time. Remember he was a long shot to make the Lions roster for a reason.

Tuel needs to manage and the RBs need to come up big. The pressure D need to knock Brady on his can early and often. THEIR ARE NO AVAILABLE QBs NOW THAT GIVE US A BETTER CHANCE TO WIN THEN THE GUY THAT HAS BEEN AT EVERY PRACTICE THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The new qbs in the mix meant less roster spots at other positions. But, I dont think he showed anything. Project prospect ant best.

At this point I would try to bring in the guys off the street to play the last preseason game and protect Tuel in case EJ is not ready for week 1. And if EJ cant go week 1 we need a backup for Tuel who can step in and manage the game. Defense and special teams need to play excellent to beat the Pats.

I dont disagree with the qb opinions but to be devils advocate I would have licked to see EJ against the Vikings #1 defense.

Its kind of funny no on talks about how we let Poz leave. He look pretty good when he played against us and wouldnt have cost the world to keep him!!! But the Sheppard trade looks like it was a brilliant move. We got a player who looks like a play maker and will fit the pressure scheme well, and have upgraded the ilb position through draft and from within. Good thing Buddy was asleep at the wheel.

"Sneak" lol good one. With limited looks could be two possibilities 1. He has already made the team and the coaches need to look at the other guys. 2. He has not earned the game reps. My guess is # 2
