1/2/2022 Week 17 Gameday Bills vs Falcons 2nd Half Thread

The first interception I shrugged. The second was u fortunate. But at 2/14 3INTs, if the game ended right now, the L would firmly fall on Allen’s shoulders. -

I have never seen the jersey pocket before from any other player instead of the pouch. Anybody else catch that on Josh’s jersey -

Stevenson still out there returning punts. If McKenzie is on the bench for Beasley, I strongly consider signing elsewhere in FA/no hometown discount. -

Does Stevenson get benched for eternity, or is that a punishment reserved for McKenzie? -

Week 17 — Falcons @ Bills Uniform Reveal
Mango replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wish they’d just commit to the all whites already. Maybe they’re saving them for the playoffs? -
Feliciano was in the hospital for the Panthers game with covid, and a week later watched the Pats game on his couch and an IV drip in his arm. Giving JF any meaningful playing time is either highly irresponsible or it means we are in a really tough spot. There is no way he is in good enough shape to play quality NFL football with any consistency.

Pay McDermott whatever he wants for eternity. Has nobody been paying attention to the Sabres. This franchise is capable of being historically bad under this ownership. Maybe McD is a perennial 10-7 coach from here on out. Maybe we never go to a Super Bowl. Maybe we never win another playoff game. All of that is better than what the Pegulas have done with the Sabres over the last decade.

Josh Allen doesn’t have a single first round pick on offense
Mango replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
But he does have one of the most expensive offensive lines in the league made up of (2) 2nd rounders, (2) 4th rounders, and (1) 3rd rounder. Whether by the Bills or not, thats a lot of high draft picks for the OL. Our star WR cost us a first rounder. Beasley is the 34th highest paid WR in the league and he plays inside, and would normally not be on the field in most 2WR sets. Josh is putting this team on his back. That’s phenomenal. But let’s maybe zip our pants back up while we talk about how much we haven’t invested in our offense for our production. We’ve invested plenty. The OL needs to be revamped. -
This is true, but I think it’s always true, we are just more aware in a pandemic. I’ve had my own health issues the last year. I think the most important thing most of us will ever do is complete the carbon cycle. The only way for the world to keeping living is if we keep dying. (I am not dying but a global pandemic and a year of health issues will get you thinking about stuff) That sounds heavy and depressing, but I actually find it remarkably powerful and uplifting.

Josh Allen doesn’t have a single first round pick on offense
Mango replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is my thought, but I still don't think the first pick is a skill position. My guess is it goes to LT or OG. Dawkins gives us some flexibility there if they fall in love with a LT. Next pick is probably a big DT like Vita Vea. Either could be swapped depending on their board. I would like to keep Morse one more year until we are sure we have an upgrade. He might not be great, but he most certainly is not the problem with the OL. -

They can't afford to have Allen play the way he is playing very long. The dude keeps putting the team on his back. If it isn't him getting smashed around in the pocket, it is him taking hits rushing for first downs. It gets all of us jacked up. But it adds up quickly. Cam has had a great career, but I really don't want Josh to fall off a cliff like he did. -
Based on the time it will take to get this done, and the fact that I think the NFL still wants to incentivize players to get vaccinated, I do not think the NFL shortens the window until the playoffs, where they will want to protect ratings/Aaron Rodgers from missing games. Davis nor Beasley will be back for ATL.

I also like the Pats to possibly beat the Titans in that scenario. I don’t want to deal with Henry again. In that situation it’s Cincy v. Indy. I’d rather play the Bengals.

I am sorta pulling for Miami to at least have something to play for against NE by winning here. Worst case scenario is Miami makes the playoffs. We host them in OP. Miami picks in the 20’s, sticks with Tua, and are stuck in purgatory.

Felciano isn’t just on Covid Reserve. He was hospitalized last week and watched Sunday’s game from his couch…with an IV in his arm. Feliciano isn’t ready to start in the NFL right now.
-
Maybe not. But they could push the game out giving NE a short week before playing Miami…

Bruce Smith Puts Jerry Sullivan In His Place in 1997

Jerry is one of the worst kinds of humans. The guy just gets rock hard off of being a total grass hole to talented people, then bragging about it. -
Do the Bills have any 2007/2011 Giants playoff run in them?
Mango replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think we are a bit opposite of those Giants teams and similarly "hot at the right time" teams like the 2012 Ravens. Those defenses were playing out of their minds and waited for iffy QB's to get hot. Josh Allen is near the top of the MVP odds for the second consecutive year. He is as good as any QB in the league right now. The defense has been very good but also very vulnerable at times. If any unit were to get hot for us heading into the playoffs I hope it the DL starts to play lights out like those Giants DL's. This team is good enough on any day to beat any team in the league. -
Right, he is having a good year and not leading either category. The title of this thread is, "Allen leads in total yards and total TDs now?".

Cole Beasley proactively decided to miss 10 days this season back in the offseason when the rules came out. His replacement balled out in his absence. Similar to the way he did against Miami last year when Beasley was hurt. Cole Beasley shouldn't be penciled in as the started for the remainder of this season until his replacement loses the job. I may have missed you two arguing more up thread, but Beasley only costs us $1.5M in dead cap next year but saves us ~$6M. I think if McKenzie continues to ball the rest of the season and the playoffs, you give some of that money to him, and the remainder to upgrading other position groups.
