They didn’t come out flat. Got pressure a few times. Offense is just too quick, and other times Burrow able to buy some time on a blown coverage

This is insane to me. They always had the Bills offense on a struggle bus. Even when the Bills were moving and scoring it felt like they were using everything got to do so. Is he aggressive with his blitzing? Absolutely. But it worked IMO

You saying “that wasn’t even a big pressure” tells me we’re not going to agree here. Big Gregg won the play, with an assist from DaQuon Jones who won his battle as well. That’s the kind of pressure the Bills get fairly often and it’s exactly what you want out of your defense. Sure sacks and hits are more fun to watch, but it’s the consistent pressure that’s what sets a good defense apart from an average defense.

Yea I agree with that, and that’s why they went and got Von Miller to help finish those plays. But certainly they create more than enough pressure to create bad plays fairly consistently. It’s super hard to constantly drive the field on this defense because of that consistent pressure . Beat your man and move the QB. Everything after that is bonus.

Bills didn’t struggle at all to get pressure on Miami with their front 4. Why the hell do you think Thompson only completed 40% and was constantly avoiding pressure and moving around off his spot? Yea Milano got a couple blitz sacks but the primary pressure throughout the game was coming from the front 4. It was effective. It harassed Miami’s offense into a completely crap day. On the vast majority of plays Edmunds and Milano stayed in coverage . I don’t know why people aren’t wanting to give the Bills front 4 some credit here.

They did that against the chiefs. What’s funny is this the same complaint I heard about PSU’s defense for the last 2 decades last season. They were defenses that didn’t blitz a lot, got sacks from the front 4, and would play mostly zones - and consistently end up ranked pretty darn high on every defensive stat out there while coming up with good performances against good teams. I think people are arguing style > performance Theres nothing sexy about the Bills D. They don’t care chaotic pressure, and they don’t send swarms of defenders. So people take that to mean the Bills are soft on D. But that’s bull####. What the Bills are highly effective, a incredibly and really difficult to score on

They play a 3-4, and bring pressure by blitzing from various angles rather than anything conventional. They might just rush 4, but you don’t necessarily know who that 4th is, and it’s often 5-6

Than the Bengals defense? Sure. And also, Bmore has an attacking 3-4, with blitzers coming all over the place. But even with the Bills more conventional 4-3, they put a ton of pressure on the QB

How were they more nasty? Did you look at the stats from today? How many successful drives the Dolphins had during the game? Their QBs pressure rate?

So the Bills have better DTs, equivalenr DEs like Oweh and Bowser, better depth at all along the DL and pass rushers, equivalent Backer tandem, and with Tre coming back around, better corners, while the ravens have better safeties. In general the Bills run D has been quite good, and phenomenal since a bad game against the Phins in December. There’s just no evidence to support the ravens being more “physical” on D or even better

I don’t accept the premise that the Ravens have significantly better, or even better, defense than the Bills Using DVOA, Bills are 4th and Ravens 7th
