Might be right, and why they’ll roll with Jackson is he’s healthy. Next season, if Tre is fully back, you can switch up to a man heavy, more blizting scheme, to protect those safeties. We might end up losing our top 3 safeties in Poyer, Hyde and Hamlin so a philosophical change needs to happen

Elam excels in man, but it’s a mostly zone system which is why i suspect you’ll Dane Jackson get the majority of snaps vs Cinncy. Though if 27 is back to his old explosiveness (he might be) then it’s not the worst idea to go full man + blitz with Tre, Elam and Taron Johnson out of the slot.

He’s not entirely wrong at the aggregate level. But the reason the Bills took him so high is probably the interview and chalkboard process he showed how much of an elite competitor and worker he was. Josh has done EXCEPTIONALLY well in remaking himself as a QB, all because of his rare drive to be great. Conventionally speaking, Allen was a bad college QB on a not very good college team. Him making it like this is why someone like Will Levis is going to be taken in the first round, and it absolutely overturned the math on drafting QBs. Allen is an exception to everything we know about QBs. You don’t go from a 50% college QB to a 65% NFL QB. You just don’t. Yet Allen has done it

Definitely partly that. But my thing is that any random NFL QB can complete 55% given decent protection. Especially with the weapons he has on O with this roster. Also should be noted that he had a few drops though.

They were and they evidence is how poorly Thompson’s completion % was. He completed just 40% of his passes. A big part of that was the Dline moving home and forcing him out of his conventional reads.

That was the plan to beat this pressure defense. The Phins’ secondary is way below average inspite of having Holland and Howard. The other 2-3 pieces are well below average Dorsey wanted to take advantage of it by hitting them deep

That’s an attacking 3-4 defense. It’s basic design is to attack the LOS from a lot of different angles - and they have some really good pieces to get it done. But I go back to what I said earlier….defense simply wasn’t an issue today. They did their jobs and then some

DLine won today. By a good margin as well. The DEs weren’t making splash plays, but they were winning battles and moving the QB from what I recall

The game plan would be interesting to look at. They knew the Phins were gonna bring heavy pressure. Josh has been happy to play the check down game prior to this. I’m just not sure it was in the game plan today
