  1. Well my early read is that the weakest unit between these two teams is the Bengals OLine. But really, I think Josh needs to be a bit more risk averse unless we’re in shootout mode. If Bengals are struggling with protection tie last thing you want to do is give them short fields. Would rather punt the ball than take big risks, and perhaps run the ball moreso than usual
  2. Ha, mean reversion says the bengals are gonna come out on fire next week
  3. Josh also isn’t going to try leaping 1.5 yards so there’s that to
  4. Yea exactly. Your only judging that TO because of a play that never technically happened and was blown dead
  5. His defense was out of position. You can’t judge a timeout ona pay that never happened
  6. This is perhaps the most erratic game end coaching I’ve seen in a playoff game in my memory
  7. Now BMore getting their scrub WRs into the game like it’s midget football
  8. What in the holy ***** are the ravens doing?!!!!
  9. He threw that into….quadruple coverage?!!!!
  10. It’s also the only way they win. They ain’t getting multiple TD drives out of this offense
  11. Hate sneaking out of the Shotgun but I guess it works on the inside power
  12. Or maybe keep it like a normal QB
  13. I’m already annoyed at how the Bengals offense will come out next weekend like the 96 Niners because they suck today
  14. https://www.quora.com/In-football-what-is-the-boundary-corner#:~:text=Field corner %3D the corner that,is closer to the boundary. field vs boundary corner, which makes sense as Elam is the better athlete, while Tre is the more experienced, smarter corner, and coming of an ACL you want him covering less ground
  15. Might be right, and why they’ll roll with Jackson is he’s healthy. Next season, if Tre is fully back, you can switch up to a man heavy, more blizting scheme, to protect those safeties. We might end up losing our top 3 safeties in Poyer, Hyde and Hamlin so a philosophical change needs to happen
  16. Elam excels in man, but it’s a mostly zone system which is why i suspect you’ll Dane Jackson get the majority of snaps vs Cinncy. Though if 27 is back to his old explosiveness (he might be) then it’s not the worst idea to go full man + blitz with Tre, Elam and Taron Johnson out of the slot.
  17. Sorry, I was referring to the 4th down where the Bills forced Thompson into an incomplete
  18. Fox just showed that 4th down that ended the game…DLine won that play
  19. Ha, I kinda hate those quick out plays when coverage is there. It’s. A stupid hard throw to make and a really difficult catch. Generally speaking though, understand the point you’re making. Those balls are what makes Josh special.
  20. He’s not entirely wrong at the aggregate level. But the reason the Bills took him so high is probably the interview and chalkboard process he showed how much of an elite competitor and worker he was. Josh has done EXCEPTIONALLY well in remaking himself as a QB, all because of his rare drive to be great. Conventionally speaking, Allen was a bad college QB on a not very good college team. Him making it like this is why someone like Will Levis is going to be taken in the first round, and it absolutely overturned the math on drafting QBs. Allen is an exception to everything we know about QBs. You don’t go from a 50% college QB to a 65% NFL QB. You just don’t. Yet Allen has done it
  21. Definitely partly that. But my thing is that any random NFL QB can complete 55% given decent protection. Especially with the weapons he has on O with this roster. Also should be noted that he had a few drops though.
  22. Mostly I was to. Just not in the 4th quarter with a lead. I mean I almost through a major hissy fit on that long ball to Shakir on 3rd and 1, half way into the 4th. This ain’t madden. Those plays are really hard to complete
  23. They were and they evidence is how poorly Thompson’s completion % was. He completed just 40% of his passes. A big part of that was the Dline moving home and forcing him out of his conventional reads.
