I’ll be honest, while I’m rooting for the bills to win as much as they can and make the playoffs, getting a non playoff draft slot is a REALLY nice consolation prize for this franchise at this moment in time

This season has turned into a silly joke the NFL is playing on America. As it stands it’s questionable for all 3 of the Bills, Chiefs and Ravens to make the playoffs This is well beyond coaching at this point. The WRs are a mess. The two stud OTs gone. Defensively you got a blue chip DT and a really good versatile weapon gone…. Like this roster is just completely hamstrung right now

The Bills have the best tackle tandem in the game, though they were poor tonight. I saw some numbers earlier, but the Bills leave their tackles on Islands more than any other team in the league. They trust their tackles to do their jobs and they generally do so, enabling Josh to do his thing. They got eaten alive tonight, but the Bills also rarely gave them too much support

McDermott has a lot of responsibility for the offense. He's the HC and it's his philosophy out there

They're basically attempting a rebuild while trying to contend at the same time. If you look at the defense, they've completely overhauled it. And once they move on from Milano, White, and Johnson it's basically a brand new defense from 3 years ago. But they lack a blue chip pass rusher, and I dunno how you manufacture that. You either pay 30M+ a year in FA or you find one in the draft, and those guys generally don't slip past the top 15. Meanwhile we now have 3 highly talented players at both corners spots and a safety spot, a good but not great llinebacker, a borderline elite 3T, a highly talented 1T who's just a rookie, and a pretty good run DE in Groot. They add a safety, a quality run defender backer, and hope Taron gets healthy/rejuvenated (he's only 29) and you got a good defense. Offensively, they've completed their rebuild of their OLine. Their ages are 31, 28, 28, 25, 27 from Left to Right. Their TEs going forward are 26 and 24. Their stud RB is 26. Truth is they're trying to attempt something that's insanely hard. I mean the Texans have an elite defense. Meanwhile the Texans defense has a top 3 pick, a top 3 pick, an elite DE free agent, two high quality FA DTs, a top 3 pick at CB, a 2nd round pick at CB, and a 3rd round pick at Safety.

The defense is probably somewhere around above average, while also being hugely hamstrung by injuries. Cook, the run blocking, and Allen are carrying the offense to random outputs every game.

Not remotely true. The Bills offense scored on ONE TD and it was a defensive bust on a long TD run. Bills defense gave up probably 1 more drive than they should have tonight. But that first drive - every NFL team is gonna have at least a few good drives. The Bills D was the only reason this wasn't a blow out. The Texans STARTED two drives deep in Bills territory and came away with 6 freakin points. The Bills went an entire 3rd quarter getting just a single first down. This is nuts to me. Are you demanding perfection, and then when it doesn't happen claiming it's terrible?
