  1. I suspect it won't come down to the Steelers cutting him. He'll be traded for less than his market value just to be rid of him. Other teams know this and someone will make an offer to Pitt out of FOMO alone.
  2. Someone will sign AB and pay too much money. I just don't think the other 31 teams will all be tripping over themselves to get him.
  3. Thanks for the articles. I wasn't able to view the Buffalo News piece, but the Buffalo Rumblings article gives a lot of insight into McD's scheme. Frazier seems to be more conservative than McD, though. So you're probably correct that McD generally OK with Frazier's planning, but interesting how different the D was the second half of the Charger game when McD took over the play calling.
  4. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who thinks this. Frazier seems to go into a shell when he plans against better QBs such as Rivers, Luck, Rogers, Flacco, and Brady. The Vikings game was interesting, he went after Cousins, with great results. I'm not sure why some of these DCs think you can still get away with rushing 3 or 4, not get pressure on the QB, and expect the defensive backfield to hold down the fort, so to speak. DB is a difficult position to play since the rules are skewed in favor of the WR. Just a bad strategy, IMO.
  5. The NFL wanted him back to play in the game against Pittsburgh, the one where Jesse James was robbed of a TD. Ratings matter most for the NFL.
  6. No to this neanderthal being a Bill for his last season which he'd be basically ineffective. It would take away from a roster spot that could be used on a guy that could actually contribute.
  7. Happy Birthday. Buy yourself something nice https://proshop.patriots.com
  8. He looks like he should be on a terrorist watch list. Other than that, just fine.
  9. A couple of other posters mentioned as much. Pats article completely pinned it on DeGugielmo, which probably shouldn't be surprising since the article was written when he was just fired from NE.
  10. Thanks. The Pats article seemed to pin it all on DeGugielmo, but I shouldn't be surprised at this.
  11. Any concern about how poorly the Pats OLine played in 2014 and 2015? They had a hard time protecting Brady, who was hit a lot those years. The next year (2016) Scarnecchia came out of retirement and the Pats won the SB with much better OLine protection. The Pats run an EP system, as do we, though I'm thinking theirs is much more advanced. I don't know what Indy runs. You don't see any potential problems with pass blocking under DeGugielmo?
  12. Yeah, Stars play is largely invisible, so I can see the angst people have toward him. I saw this article and wanted to put it out there to shed some light on his role.
  13. Ha. If that's the case, I agree, get this guy on board.
  14. Lorax thinks Star is worth every bit of his contract since his (Star) play helps others make plays. https://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/2019/01/bills-lorenzo-alexander-says-star-lotulelei-earned-every-bit-of-big-contract.html "But Buffalo linebacker Lorenzo Alexander, who called Lotulelei “disruptive,” said that the former Panthers tackle was well worth it and is going to be a staple on the team for years to come. “Obviously he (doesn’t play) a sexy position, but he allows other people around him to make plays,” Alexander said. “I’ve definitely been able to have a pretty good year this year. A lot of it is contributed to what he’s been able to do as far as keeping guys off me, allowing me to run free. “In the pass rush, people can’t step up. On first or second down I know a couple of guys that have gotten sacks throughout the year just because Star has gotten that great push. He’s earned every bit of what he’s got with that five-year deal.” " Leslie Frazier's take on Star: “He demands a double team which allows our linebackers to run free and make some of the tackles that people might think the nose tackle should be making,” Frazier said. “That has been a plus for us, helping our linebackers to improve. But also to help our run defense. He’s done a good job of commanding attention from their interior, their center and their guards. It’s hard to block him one-one-one and that’s what we needed and he’s given us that.”
  15. This guy wasn't very good in New England. Their OLine struggled and Brady got pressured and hit a lot in the 2015 season. https://www.patriots.com/news/report-patriots-part-ways-with-ol-coach-dave-deguglielmo-255016 "His first season in New England got off to a hellacious start, as the line struggled to find consistency both in terms of personnel and performance. But that turned around in the middle of the year and the unit was more than good enough for the Super Bowl run. That same was not true this fall, however. The unit utilized endless combinations – both out of necessity and at times by choice – and never was really good enough. The only time the passing game rolled was when Brady got rid of the ball at a ridiculously quick rate. Otherwise, the 38-year-old franchise was hit far too often, with that peaking in Sunday evening’s loss. Stork seemed to regress, while veterans Sebastian Vollmer and Marcus Cannon struggled, the latter having by far the worst year of his career."
  16. Hard to say. Not sure who he is away from Doug Marrone. Marrone's offenses were never impressive, with Hackett as OC. Don't know if that is on Hackett or Marrone. We'll see how he works with LaFleur.
  17. Here you go, buy yourself something nice...https://proshop.patriots.com
  18. I'm not doubting that. Look at Peters, he's just become huge; the human body can't handle that much extra weight.
  19. "We won this one together. Team win."
  20. He's also getting old and very fat. No wonder he's having back issues
  21. Not worried. Fire quickly, hire slowly.
  22. On first take, I thought that was Kraft's wife...It's Jon Bon Jovi. Screw them both. Bon Jovi couldn't buy the Bills, but Kraft can buy the refs.
  23. 53 yards, wide right...where has that happened before?
