  1. ? I haven't seen a single shot of Pettine being fired up on the side lines, on TV. So we are criticising Marrone because he's not yelling and geting red in the face in the TV shots you've seen on him during a game? That's ridiculous.
  2. Ugh, I muted the game. I can't stand Dierdorf, he brings absolutely nothing to the table. And all he does is sit there and talk.... and talk.... and talk, this week it was about Drew Brees. Good thing, we have the same crew next week!
  3. Pettine's had a whole lot of injuries to deal with, specifically in the secondary.
  4. With regards to this I think, and I don't have proof really, that Lewis isn't going through his progressions very fast. I can only assume Woods is #2 maybe #3 option on most pass plays. I think Lewis isn't getting to that read and waits too long for his #1 option to get open. Hence him holding onto the ball too long and taking lots of sacks. Whereas in contrast EJ goes through his progressions, maybe too fast sometimes not letting his #1 option get open, and finds Woods.
  5. And the post of the thread! Marrone is 0/3 on challenges, with 2 being today. So 2 possible weeks of a challenge. Maybe it's me but I thought we were in week 8. Grabbing at straws much?

  8. @mortreport: Jimmy Graham fans, real and fantasy, don't get your hopes up for Sunday's Saints game vs Bills. Update Sunday @ESPNNFL Also responded to another tweet and said it doesn't look "optimistic" that he will be active at all
  9. I agree that the consistency hasn't been there and have certainly yelled at the TV when they have given up quite a few third and longs. I just think stats don't tell the the whole story sometimes. Are they a dominant defense? No, not yet, I think they are building into a nice defense but like my opinion on the offense they need to execute better. Limit mistakes and get off the field when the odds say they should.
  10. But like Brady, Brees could be without his best target in Graham. We've seen what happens to Brady without Gronkowski. With that said, I think the Pats* will be able to handle the Dolphins at home. The Bungles are a great home team and if the likes of GB and the Pats* couldn't get a win there I don't believe the Jest will. The Bills/Saints came will be very close, with the Bills squeezing out a victory.

  12. So no matter how many attempts an offense has against a defense, a good defense should stop them every time? Wouldn't it only be logical that the more attempts they have, the more time they have to figure out the defenses weakness's. Also the more time the defense has on the field the more opportunities there is for a mistake. And yes good defenses and defenders occasionally make mistakes.
  13. No offense but I don't get this love for Freeman. He had a 10 win season 3 years ago! Since then he's: Thrown 45 TDs to 44 INTs Had a 56% completion percentage average Had a 33.7 QBR average And because you said HE has had a 10 win season and not the team, since then HE has been 11-25 as the starter. I just don't see anything that leads me to believe he will become anything other than a backup QB
  14. I thought after he fell on it he had quite a bit of time because a player threw a block. So I don't think he was touched until he got back up on one knee. Almost like he could have got up and run.
  15. I agree the right play has to be called if they are going to pass on 1st down. Screens, slants and curls are great. Mix in the occasional deep throw and it'll keep the defense on their heels and open the run.
  16. No offence, but I think people don't really pay attention to just how much they do just what you are saying. Lets look at this last game: The Bills had 26 first down plays, subtract the 1 kneel down before the half on first down, I think we can call that 25. I also think you can subtract the 2 first downs on the last drive as it was obvious they were trying to run to run the clock down. So will call it 23 first downs the Bills could have thrown on. The Bills threw 9 times on first down or about 40% of the time. Now for me, that number seems ok. My guess as to why people don't feel like it's enough? Execution. On those plays that they passed on first down there were: 2 incomplete passes, 2 QB scrambles, 1 sack and 1 holding penalty. That's 3 positive plays. And 1 of those positive plays was after the penalty so it basically to offset it. Not very good. IMO, the Bills need to execute better.
  17. I believe, based on what happened yesterday in the Pittsburgh game, kickoffs aren't reviewable. For those who didn't see the Pittsburgh game, in the final minute Emmanuel Sanders looked like he returned a kickoff for a TD. One of the officials thought he stepped out. The ref came over the PA and said he was out of bounds(it was really close) and that it wasn't reviewable.
  18. Not a sack today against a team that was giving up a lot. That's a bit concerning.
  19. Why didn't Garrison Sanborn make the list?
  20. He wasn't? I'm not sure if you follow Lynch or not, but he has a pending DWI, that his lawyer has been able to delay the trial, presumably because it will result in a suspension for him, if convicted. He still is getting in trouble.
  21. A hit and run plus a weapons possession charge is a couple of scrapes? As also pointed out he has a pending DWI case that he's put off now. I wouldn't exactly call that scrapes. He's has problems with the law. Saying all that, I hated to see him go.
  22. I used these stats the other day to argue the run defense is not as bad as most fans think. Total yards is a terrible stat to use to decide who the best run defense is. Look who is ranked second for a prime example. Denver. The reason that their YPG and Total Yards are so low is because every team gives up on the run after falling behind. It becomes a shoot out. Technically they are 4th in lowest number of rush attempts (133), but the teams ahead of them have all had byes, so I'd say they are actually first. The problem is, it's an unknown if they can stop the run. Also, look at Cleveland they've given up 8 rushing TDs (which leads the league). So apparently they can keep teams YPG low but when it comes to stopping the run against a TD, they can't.
  23. Funny that Marrone said this as well: "I want to make sure that he’s healthy when he comes back. Just because you say four to six, it can be four, it can be six. It can be three or seven." So apparently he could still come back earlier... http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-2/EJ-Manuel-out-at-least-another-month/226a93ff-d8bc-45af-b350-819166232240?camapign=tw_buf_article
  24. That would mean possible return for Jets game...
