  1. This is what I thought. And obviously the getting in his face did nothing in terms of motivation. Instead the Bengals got a first down after the Bills had just stopped them AND a could plays later they scored a TD.
  2. I was going to say the same thing. Add to that Manuel was 2-2 as a starter with a strong possibility if he doesn't go down in the Cleveland game of being 3-2. Is it fair to just take the starting job away from him?
  3. I disagree slightly on the run. The Bills are 28th in yards allowed, but that doesn't tell the whole story. YPA tells a little better of a story, with the Bills currently ranking 14th at 3.9 YPA. And even with all those yard given up they've only surrendered 2 rushing TDs, compared to Cleveland who has given up 8. Also, the longest run of the year against the Bills is 34 yards, which is 11th I'm the league. I just don't think total yards tells you everything about the run defense.
  4. I think Legursky was going to start at LG all along but was injured.
  5. Jeff Tuel looked good in Pre-season...
  6. And do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga
  7. Fact: if a wide open Hogan catches that very catchable ball It's a first down and you aren't making this post. Again, it's execution. Hackett called the right play, he can't be on the field catching the ball as well. It was the right call.
  8. Man did they ever luck out playing the NFC East this year... The NFC East combined record thus far 7-16
  9. https://twitter.com/ChrisBrownBills'>https://twitter.com/ChrisBrownBills Marrone on EJ Manuel: "He's ahead of schedule. The report today was encouraging" #Bills https://twitter.com/ChrisBrownBills Marrone: EJ Manuel has yet to begin rehab. Will start on-field work tomorrow, which should yield a better idea of timeline for return. Looks like it could be 3 weeks. Depending on QB play, he can take his time.
  10. I read through this thread and find it funny that no one brought up that fact that maybe Thad was already hurt before that last drive. He was on the bike, trying to keep loose. I'm not sure what people expect from an offense that has had it's QB switched and missing their #1 WR and a hobbled RB. To even be in the game at that point was just crazy. Hackett can only call the plays, of which he called a lot of good ones against Cincy. It's up to the players to execute that play. Hogan was open. The pass was there. He didn't catch it. You certainly can't expect them to go out there and pass, pass, pass. Especially with a QB who was certainly hobbling at that point. There was no reason to be desperate at that point. Why give up on the run?
  11. Go to your settings for your iPhone(the one that looks like a cog); then go into Notification Centre, if you scroll down you'll see a list of Apps that have the ability to have "push notifications." Click on the Bills app; Make sure your "Alert Style" is set to Banners or Alerts, Then just make sure you have "Show On Lock Screen" turned on. It's worth checking to see if you enabled the Bills App to use mobile data. To check, go back into your main Settings area and open the "Mobile" menu. If you scroll down you'll see a list of Apps and if they are turnged on, that means they have access to mobile data. Hope that helps.
  12. not a bad deal, $20 donation to breast cancer gets you 2 tickets to the game Buffalo Bills ‏@buffalobills For a minimum donation of $20 to breast cancer awareness, #Bills fans will receive two tickets to #Bills-#Bengals
  13. Ralph Wilson buys the last remaing tickets, via text. Buffalo Bills ‏@buffalobills #Bills owner Ralph Wilson, Jr. has guaranteed the purchase of all remaining tickets for Sunday's game against the Bengals. No blackout.
  14. Honestly, best explanation in this thread Dibs. And it makes sense, if you sign Levitre to the deal he got in Tennessee(which the Bills, IMO, would have had to sign him for more to keep him here) you would severly jepordize the franchises ability to sign future talent. To franchise Byrd and then attempt to sign him, would work out cheaper. IMO, If Glenn continues being as good as he has been, that money for Levitre should be spent on him. Then the Bills would have locked up a franchise Center in Woods and a franchise LT in Glenn. The rest of the positions will have to be filled, via the draft and/or cheaper talent. In today's NFL it's just not possible to spend big on every single one of a teams OL.
  15. That's better than what you originally said. And just as an FYI, Locker and Ponder did not start from day 1.
  16. I disagree. In "today's NFL" it's possible for rookie QB's to start right out of the gate, that much is apparent but teams are still giving QB's time to develop. Just look at Kaepernick in SF, he didn't even start his first year and half. He was allowed to develop. Teams are more willing to "find out what they got" sooner, rather than letting that QB sit for 2-3 years, then start for a couple years... then when thats not working dump them. That could be a waste of 5 years. Instead, they put their rookie QB in there right away, let him grow and develop and then see where they are after 3 years, instead of waiting 5. Luck is an exception, not the rule.
  17. I don't get the injury prone comment... What player wouldn't have gotten injured from that hit in Cleveland? It's not like he's brittle, he got injured on a play that 99% of players would get hurt.
  18. He looked good last night. Did he look impressive versus Tennessee? How about New England? How about Tampa Bay? The guy had a good game last night, but lets not go generalizing his season based on 1 game. Consistency.
  19. Geno was injured during the preseason as well... Also, injury prone?!? Let me know what player wouldn't be hurt by that hit? It was a bad decision, that doesn't make him injury prone.
  20. That was this week. Who played better last week?
  21. Antoine is a big guy. 6'6" 330.
  22. Hopkins pulled his hamstring in either his planting leg or kicking leg, thats HUGE. And certainly could be season ending. You've seen linemen, who require use of there arms and chest muscle, go out on season ending IR when they pull or tear a chest muscle or bicep. Very similar, considering he requires use of his legs.
  23. The hurry up is based on execution and wearing the defense down. There is nothin wrong with it so long as you execute. With a rookie QB, there has been some execution problems, which are to be expected. But the coaches are laying the ground work of the Bills offense for years to come. You can't just give up on it and say, "well I guess we'll just go back to doin what everyone else is doing." They are trying to innovate. I applaud that. When/if it starts working fully, the Bills could be a premier offense. EDIT: Also, a run-based offense completely fits the hurry-up. Wear out the defense, running becomes easier and easier. Just keep pushing the DL around, not let the substitute or catch their breath. Huge lanes will open.
