  1. Oh I agree with that as well. Age certainly could be a contributing factor into his decline this season. The poster who responded made is seem like players who are asked to do what Rex asked Mario to do don't succeed. So it's entirely Rex's fault, because of the scheme, that Marios play declined.
  2. Define "a lot". And he most certainty played some 5-tech in Pettines scheme. I can point to plays where he was playing 6-tech and 7-tech and didn't get home. He was lined up against a TE in 7-tech and didn't get home. Rex had him line up in multiple places. Sometimes 5-tech and sometimes 6-tech or 7-tech and I even saw him lined up wide 9. Players have succeeded in Rex's scheme. Some have even flourished.
  3. We probably are saying the same thing but it's his choice not to fit it. I think he could fit the scheme if he bought in and put forth the effort.
  4. Sorry again, I don't buy that Marko doesn't fit the scheme. He fit Pettines scheme just fine and he fit Wades scheme just fine, before he was injured. Both schemes asked him to play something other than what he wants to play. Mario was very vocal about when he first came to Buffalo that he wanted to play RDE in a 4-3 scheme. And to top it off at 30/31 years old, the entire defense shouldn't be built around him and what he wants. JJ Watt can have a scheme built around him. Von Miller can have a scheme built around him, even though he has just adapted to whatever scheme he has been given.
  5. Utilization related? Yea maybe that's a part of the reason but the guy gave up. He quit. You are completely ignoring that fact. Williams had no problem playing in a Mike Pettine schem, which wasn't tailored to Williams. He had no problem playing in a Wade Phillips scheme, who ha wasn't tailored to him.
  6. It's happening either way, $$ + his production makes him a cap causality. IMO, Mario Williams would have had to have an MVP type season before all the Rex changes for it to even be a consideration of the Bills to keep him. Especially with all the other, younger players they need to sign. As it happens it helped the Bills make the decision easier.
  7. Guess a couple threads got merged?
  8. The theory from the defense attorney makes complete sense and I agree it is how it will most likely play out. Too many questions to be raised from the off-duty cops. Why didn't they call the police immediately? Especially the one that wasn't involved. Instead they wait to file a report many many hours after. They could have called when they arrived at the hospital. I'm sure they won't want a very high paid defense attorney sniffing around their lives.
  9. <grumble, grumble> Yes but good cheap running backs are easy to find </grumble, grumble> haha
  10. I did say Denver in my original post, still don't think they'd offer the $19m. I'd guess they'd want him for a bit less, seeing as they could get Osweiler for less. Suppose it depends on what they think of Osweiler.
  11. The only other thing I'd add is, D-lineman dropping into coverage can be effective as shown by Von Miller, Denvers best pass rusher, dropping into coverage and intercepting Tom Brady.
  12. I don't even think a team like the Jets would offer him that kind of money and their QB situation isn't amazing. Like I said earlier in the thread I think, maybe, the Rams, Texans, Browns and Eagles would offer him the $19m. Still think that's a stretch because some of those teams are picking high in the draft and i think would prefer a draft prospect and a journeyman over Taylor who has started all of 14 games.
  13. Where did I say the Jets are set at QB? I said they would bring in Tyrod for competition if he was a FA but in case you hadn't noticed Ryan Fitzpatrick set all sorts of QB records for them and oh yea, helped them to a 10-6 record. He proved he could win in NY and would come much cheaper than $19m per. So, I'm sure they would be willing to bring TT in and battle it out with Fitz but not for $19m. And if you think the Cardinals would ditch Palmer, a proven QB that can win in AZ, for TT then idk what to say. If AZ was even contemplating bringing in TT, as I said before, it would be to try and beat out Palmer and not for $19m.
  14. I never get the "feel disrespected" angle. TT signed the deal full well knowing that he would have to "prove it" and thus far he has sort of proved it. He's not worth $19M right at this exact moment. If he comes out next year and plays as well as he has or better, then yes he's worth that projected money and the Bills will give it to him. There's no disrespect and even if there was, money talks. Plus, the Bills hold all the chips, they can franchise him if need be and then work out a long term deal. Which dozen teams? I think maybe Houston, Cleveland, SF, LA and maybe Denver(if Peyton retires) would consider him possibly THE starting QB. Any of the other teams would bring him in for QB competition, like Jets, but they aren't going to pay him $19M for it.
  15. He actually called Theresa a bunch of times that day. She was running late to the Avery's, she called back to Auto-Trader to say so, so Steven could have been calling to ask where she was. She ignored a couple of his initial calls so the *67 could have been simply been because Steven thought she was ignoring him? I haven't seen anything anywhere saying he left a message at 4:30. He did attempt to call her at 4:35, but Dean Spano addressed that in his opening statement staying Steven called TH back to get another vehicle photographed. At that point the phone was off, so the call went straight to voicemail but I don't think he left a message. EDIT: He also admitted in his first police interview that he called her at 4:35 to come back and photograph another car, didn't deny it or try and say she didn't show.
  16. Please find attached initial design. Let us know what you think and if there are any changes to be made, just let us know and we can get those sorted for you
  17. Bummer, if he didn't slip he would have scored
  18. It's quite obvious from your responses you haven't actually read or followed how this all played out. Rex Informed the league of the coaching change. He didn't hold a press conference and announce it, like Arians did. There was no initial press release from the Bills. No tweet. No message.Rex went about it the way he would with any other coaching change. It was only when a media member was reading through it that someone actually picked up on what was happening. Then everyone jumped on it and the Bills scrambled a bit to release a statement etc. I'd hardly call the way it went down as Rex trying to win the offseason or "grabbing headlines."
  19. Yup. How about consecutive years, with the same OC system and the same QB for once. Woods hasn't seen that since he's been here. Marrone changed the offense a couple of times and that was only in 2013.
  20. When I was at university and working part time retail, there was a girl there who's name was O-M-U-N-I-Q-U-E. Pronounced I'm unique.
  21. He started "coaching" in 2011 with the Eagles as an offensive quality control coach. Then Reid plucked him from the Eagles in 2013 to be his OC. He's had a rather quick rise in the coaching ranks.
  22. I think Pederson will be a pretty lame duck coach. He has practically no coaching experience. Schwartz will be able to do what he wants.
  23. Probably. Playing the NFCN doesn't hurt either.
  24. Anyone wonder if the fact that the Eagles are playing the NFC North this year had any bearing on his decision? He knows those teams all too well and can look good, like he did in Buffalo, against them.
