  1. Eff Five, An Update.
  2. TV revenue does drive what the NFL can ask TV affiliates for, you are correct in that aspect but NFL doesn't get a yearly check from the TV affiliates based on how many people were watching, they've signed a contract. So a team moving to Los Angeles doesn't immediately impact how much money they can make. CBS, NBC, ESPN/ABC and FOX contracts run through 2022. Could they ask for more money in 2022? Sure, but the NFL has been getting more money on each contract since the 1980s. Also, it's not like the NFL hasn't been seen on TV in LA, so it's not like they are gaining a brand new audience. There are still the same number of possible eyes watching in LA.
  3. Looks like the Titans are playing the NFC North next year, so maybe Schwartz can replicate his success he had against it in Buffalo.
  4. Can't believe I just saw this thread. Interestingly my brother-in-law bought me a bottle of Four Roses for Christmas. I'm normally a Scotch drinker, ones from the Speyside region. Single-malt and I like it neat. Glenfarclas 10 or 12, although I've sampled the 25 year old and it's very nice Glenmorangie is nice too
  5. Damn shame, I'll always remember him as Hans Gruber. My dad and I bonded a lot over that film. One of the most severely underrated comedic performances is Mr. Rickman in Galaxy Quest. Just hilarious. RIP Allan Rickman.
  6. Well, in fairness some agents have to sell bull$h!t to potential customers. Sexton is doing a pretty good job of selling Maroon but it seems that when Owners/GMs get him in room and question him they don't like what they hear enough to hire him. I can't really say it's hurting Sextons reputation because at least he is getting Maroon the interviews. He can't be in there and hold his hand as well. Maybe he realizes St. Dougs reputation is too tarnished by what happened in Buffalo and ditches him, I guess we shall see.
  7. From 1991 - 1994 the Los Angeles Rams ranked 22nd, 25th, 25th and 28th in attendance (28 teams in the league at this time). From 81' to 90' their average ranking was 14th in the league and they were never in the top 10 in terms of attendance. They were on a slow decline from 81' on wards. Alaska Darin is right, the fan base in the 90s lost interest in the Rams, that was part of why they moved.
  8. This is so funny... He's a "top-candidate" who apparently interviews like crap. Or they get him in to interview, dig a little deeper and realize he's full of it.
  9. That's a fair point. Rob may not be able to get all the pieces to work correctly in a defense but that doesn't mean he can't help with fundamentals or spotting weaknesses.
  10. And I think in the end, it will still be Rexs defense. He's not going to let his brother come in and let him determine his fate with the Bills. It's up to Rex to fix things.
  11. Pretty sure he was meant to live forever. Sucks.
  12. Welp, this game could get really interesting
  13. @KimPegula We have agreed to a contract extension with Doug Whaley!
  14. Teddy Bridgewater really does check down an awful lot.
  15. Per Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Issue of Marvin Lewis' future really isn't much of an issue. Bengals have no plans to make any HC change at this time, per sources.
  16. Headset issues? It's Rex's fault!
  17. Haha thanks, my comment was in jest.
  18. Hawks are the better team, still see them winning. I think a Seattle/Carolina matchup would be nice.
  19. But how many games has he won? Ha
  20. It could but the St. Doug PR machine is strong. It was the same thing last year when he didn't get the Jets job. "Yea but he was Woody Johnsons first choice." I think it's a bit of a save face and put out by his agent. I doubt Tannenbaum would deny it.
  21. Not sure I buy that... @JayGlazer Adam Gase was the Dolphins no 1 target BEFORE they even played their last game. Got their man
