  1. Yea I knew that and 70% the year prior. Luck was a very accurate QB in college, I watched a lot of him.
  2. @MockingTheDraft Browns picks in the 2018 NFL Draft 1. 1. (via Hou) 2. 2. (via Hou) 2. (via Phi) 3. 4. 4. (via Car) 5. 5. (via KC) 6. 6. (via Pitt) 7. Wow.
  3. By the time the Bills form a competitive team again, it could possibly be down just 2, seeing as they like to unload young talent they didn't draft.
  4. Um, you don't think the media members who attended those practices would have noticed Marcell being late? Or do you mean meetings? Even then, I'm sure he wouldn't have gotten on the plane in the first place.
  5. The traded away are the specific parameters because it rarely happens. The young coach and young gm coming in has happened, a lot in fact. And changing schemes. They just tent not to jettison young, good players. That puts a lot of presser on drafting.
  6. And? Evaluators do get wrong. The truth is Tuel looked good in preseason. Better than Peterman has, eye test and all. But it's preseason, and you can't hang your hat on that evaluation.
  7. To my eyes, there are more guys attached to their scheme. Rex was, McD seems to be. And even if you look around the NFL I think more coaches are stuck in their ways.
  8. Is that the eye test? I mean Tuel did throw for over 200 yards and 2 TDs in his first preseason game.
  9. I agree with you in the offensive side of the ball, for sure. I think that has more to do with Brady. With the defense he's much much more fluid and adaptable to the talent he has.
  10. That's exactly what I mean. He knew he had strength at LB, so he switch his "scheme" to maximize that and get more LBs on the field. A 3-4 system.
  11. Right, I realize that. That's not what the article is saying.
  12. A set scheme? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000381389/article/patriots-to-use-chandler-jones-at-linebacker-in-34 He realizes where his strengths are and adjusts.
  13. Oh I've seen the articles, it's speculation. It could very well be he was difficult to work with, like he was in Carolina. Kony Ealy was a SB wonder and then did nothing last year. Satan took a stab at him, cheaply, hoping he could regain what he saw in the SB. It didn't happen.
  14. Yup. It doesn't ever have to be a full blow up. Loads of teams have not bottomed out and still rebuilt. I've never seen a team dump young talent, like McBeane has.
  15. Yes thats true but he's not precious to his scheme. He gets value for his players. Really good value in fact and then adjust his scheme to what he has.
  16. Or he didn't think he's talented enough. The fact remains Satan has changed his scheme and will find a way to use talented players.
  17. The greatest coach in history, is constantly changing his defensive scheme to his players. He's used a 3-4, a 4-3, it doesn't matter for him.
  18. That is really the head scratcher. The Whaley era is the high point for this drought. Why is it assumed what these guys are doing is going to make things better and that it can't get worse? It's been worse! Why isn't it possible that the Pegulas just hired Gus Bradley? Why do they deserve the benefit of the doubt?
  19. I find this take interesting. Nix and Whaley were poor Gms and bad at evaluating talent. But somehow McBeane, with no track record is doing the right thing AND is going to evaluate talent correctly and draft the right guys. Let me ask this, what if they are worse than Whaley/Nix? That outcome is as possible as them being better.
  20. I'm not so sure Lorenzo is the better player. He's a player they like more, for whatever reason. Much like Wood, although they signed Groy too. I don't know, this is my first time really doubting the Bills. Suppose it's the 17 years but I'm just not ready to go all in on what they are doing. I don't think I've ever seen a team unload young talent like this regime has. I guess I want to see results before I determine if these guys, with no previous experience at their current jobs, are doing the right thing.
  21. Maybe, we will see. Depends on how he looks with the Redskins. I'm not sure it's fair to use Browns 1 game where he didn't play well and ignore the others where he looked good. Al lot of players didn't look good in that game.
  22. It's not how I would do a rebuild, I'd value youth and trade veteran players who won't be around when the rebuild actually bears fruit. Think about Alexander, for example, why resign him? He's only going to be here for max 2 years, maybe only 1 year depending on how he performs this year. Maybe his age really shows? Wouldn't it make more sense to use that money to sign Z. Brown? Who's younger and has the speed they want in the WLB position.
  23. But Wood/Alexander is literally the only guys they've extended. Yes guys, leader types who aren't the most gifted but who they can sign relatively cheaply. And they are both older Look at the guys they choose not to resign. McG, Brown and Woods. They traded or cut A LOT of young guys.
