  1. Here it is: Many of the interviews involve coaches whose teams have a bye in the first round of the playoffs. NFL rules state that those coaches — on the Patriots, Broncos, Seahawks, and Packers — can interview through Saturday, and then cannot interview again until their team is eliminated from the playoffs. Link (thus seattle and Denver visits saturday, san diego and san fran visits on sunday)
  2. Ha! Kim and Pegs must be tired of the whirlwind traveling, so they they just booted whaley and brandon on to commercial air so that they can go home! I thought I read somewhere that the deadline was sunday (can't interview monday and afterwards (once the teams know who they will actually be playing and can start game planning for them). Will see if I can find the link. Also, since many of those interviews have been confirmed (seattle and denver) to have happened yesterday, the deadline must be sunday. EDIT: Correction , as I posted below deadline by rules is saturday, which explains why seatle and denver visits were saturday and san diego and san fran visits were sunday
  3. we can during their first week playoff bye (if they have one), thus the rush to interview Seahawks, denver staff this weekend while they still can.
  4. God, ur worse than ESPN!!! A bunch of national idiots that know less about the bills than the average poster on this board make up some pure speculation in order to make the new coaching carousel coverage more interesting on TV. Speculation that has absolutely no basis in fact, cannot be inferred from any statement made by anyone associated with the bills, and is literally made up from a contract nuance that Marrone has shown no evidence of being interested in. Because of this you further speculate that their made up nonsense is based on something his "camp" has leaked to the press? Good lord, man, don't you get that they make this stuff up to get internet, print and TV traffic? Don't buy into it, or even worse, extend it with your own made up nonsense.
  5. That's great, what a valuable contribution you have made to the board! I think what the OP is saying is that if u don't trust the coach to manage his OC, you should fire the coach not the OC. If u do trust the coach, shut up and see if it was a wise decision. Look there were a lot of people on this board last year demanding crossman's head and saying that if he didn't Fire crossman Marrone should be fired. Look how that turned out. May be tougher to do with offense, but when u increase by 3 wins and were one game and a 3rd tiebreaker out of the playoffs with kyle Orton, and have the best record in a decade, and knew enough about coordinators to choose one that could improve a world class defense. Then I think you deserve the benefit of the doubt. If there is no improvement next year, you boot the whole team unless Marrone offers to make changes. No sense in keeping a coach who Has been neutered of his ability to make coaching decisions. It's no longer his team and he will never take ownership of it. This is why so many coaches walk when u ask them to fire their coordinators. It's not because of blind loyalty, it's because they think the coordinator is doing the right thing and that something else is the problem. Anyways, add 3 more wins next year. 12-4, top the afc east, lose to the mother f ing wildcard pats in the playoffs after splitting the regular season. Joy.... And Pain.
  6. Exact same thought. How delusional are we? Congrats and much respect to the OP. Thank you for your service.
  7. I was literally debating writing what I wrote and writing, "does talking out of your ass make your breath stink?" hilarious... and get off my brain wave.
  8. What IS it like talking out of your ass? I thought the first example of its usage posted below from the merriam-webster dictionary was particularly appropriate since it was EXACTLY the way you used piranha INCORRECTLY. pa·ri·ah noun \pə-ˈrī-ə\ : a person who is hated and rejected by other people Full Definition of PARIAH 1 : a member of a low caste of southern India 2 : one that is despised or rejected : outcast Examples of PARIAH He's a talented player but his angry outbursts have made him a pariah in the sport of baseball.
  9. it's funny because every time I saw a scuffle today I was annoyed with the bills because I don't want that type of a game against an opponent I truly respect. Not just because they are an awesome football team, but because they stand for the same stuff my team stands for. Small market, hard working blue collar where the superstars pack their lunch pails to get back to work rather than packing their media schedule and TV time. Anyways, I have no doubt you guys are the better team (at least for now). You just put up a stinker today. We clearly had something to do with ur performance, but I would say we were just the beans that gave you enough gas to put up that stinker. Anyways, love the pack. After this year, love the lions and Detroit. All amusing because I live in Chicago and could care less about the Bears.
  10. Very true. Great post, albeit a little depressing because u know its gonna happen exactly like that. Hilarious
  11. Fortunately, this is just the type of thing that will get him a media gig which will pay a whole hell of a lot more per hour, be longer lasting, and more secure than any coaching gig.
  12. This was the first thing that made me laugh in an otherwise exhausting day. Thanks! and agreed.
  13. Doesn't this seem like something the patriots do against us?! A no name player who is an h-back-fullback-TE-WR combo that the team signed less than 2 weeks ago blows you up for 2 huge plays and 25% of the opponent's offense? Does anyone else feel like bills fans and Browns fans should get together in Erie in the off season to commiserate over some beer? Go Bills.
  14. So ur saying there's a chance?
  15. I was pretty sure i was going to see a post to this effect today. As I watched the replays, a lot of the throws where woods had to "help him out" were actually thrown exactly where they needed to be, and the only place they could be to make the completion while a avoiding the defender or a pick. The touchdown and the short out route to the sideline were prime examples. On his Go route, if the defender doesn't take away his arm, woods doesn't have to make a circus catch and the ball is caught in stride (IIRC). Don't get me wrong, these were all great catches by woods, but they were also excellent throws that just needed to be placed in awkward spots because of the position of the defenders. Just because a receiver has to make an awkward catch doesn't mean the throw was "off". Obviously its best to hit a wide open receiver in stride, but sometimes that is not possible and you have to take what is available. I will give that he missed some open receivers including Sammy, but Sammy dropped several of those "hard to catch" passes, was often double covered, and Woods was hot, so I am sure that Orton's eyes just drifted to the receiver who was making plays more often. Nonetheless if the all 22 shows frequently wide open receivers that could have been hit in stride than we have a legitimate gripe. The only caveat would be that if they were the 4th receiver on the progression, it may have not been feasible to get through all the reads to get the ball to them.
  16. Ha ha ha!! It's just that ur wrong on so many levels, the attitude just makes it all the funnier!! Good stuff.
  17. Helps less than u think as the link doesn't work. I smell what ur passin' though. See, ur not the only one who can troll people's posts. Like comment share. Ha!! Go bills.
  18. Had to delete the rest of your post, but let me speak for the rest of us when we say we can only hope that the beginning of your post holds true. Anyone that gets that upset over a message board either has way too much time on his hands, needs to see a therapist or needs to gain an ounce of perspective. hope someone hijacked ur account and ur not this much of a hot mess, but if not.. Good riddance.
  19. congratulations, you have won the award for post with the most neuroscience/pscyhologic assumptions with absolutely no basis in neuroscentific or psychologic science. And despite this, I somehow agree with you... I just hate myself for it.
  20. Payton had a completion percentage of 56.7 as a rookie, but was allowed to let it rip and threw 575 times. He had a ton of yardage and a ton of TDs but had more INTs than TDs. His avg yds per pass was 6.5 In 16 games EJ had a completion percentage of 58.6%, only threw 437 times, but had more TDs than INTs. His average yds/pass was 6.4 I don't think Ej will be Payton, but I think what people are saying is that you can't judge a QB on his first 16 games. It would be interesting to see Payton's game by game stats form his rookie year to see if he improved over the course of the season. I don' think the same could be said about EJ, although his first 14 games have been obviously very disjointed.
  21. Playoffs or not, 10-6 and I will be beyond satisfied with the progress made this season and will be willing to sit on judgment of our coaching staff and GM until the end of next season.
  22. Come on CBF, all this negativity is just making bad juju for the game. Let's just be optimistic for a change (despite how foreign that is to bills fans). Sure they may break our hearts. But if we expect it, it's like we've already lined the universe up against them. You expect the best and take what they give you... Like a man... No matter how much feels good or stings, you know u put nothing but positive energy into the pool.
