  1. Are we really taking away a key piece now that they have his replacement in Jordan Cameron. Or are you believing the talk that they are planning to use both in different roles. I recognize they have different skill sets.
  2. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/176453-justin-blalock-release/ I'm not one to usually do this, but it's not even an old thread. People have been posting in it in the last few days. Even if you didn't do a formal search. Just searching the first page of tsw would have gotten u to the above thread. Anyways, allow me to do what I always hate. And say... IN.
  3. Any new news on the Blalock front? A quick google search only showed speculation about Rams being interested. Anyone know or heard anything? Seems to fit our scheme, has been durable, and may be a good stopgap until we can get Cyril/Cyrus up to speed at the position. Gotta believe Glenn Incognito Wood Blalock Henderson would be a formidable line with shady running the ball and Felton leading the charge. Could possibly sub out Henderson for Kujo when we need a road grader to maul people to create running lanes around the end
  4. I find it amusing that the MD got details of the injury wrong. Assuming that stands for Maryland, though. In case you can't tell, I have nothing intelligent to say on this topic (not that that stops most posters on this board). Anyways, just trolling. Move along.
  5. It tells them that CJ is not nearly as good a player as they are. Unlike CJ, dareus and Gilmore have numbers that make up the claim that they are great players when healthy.
  6. after changing owner, GM, coach, coordinators, roster and a ton of front office folks, only thing "same old" about these Bills is the fans. If you want to blame someone for being "the same old bills", blame your own poor attitude and the negative vibes it sheds. Of course this does not apply to all fans, just the negative nancys out there that have forgotten how to do anything but complain.
  7. Don't know that much about him, but from that article seems like a good fit. Unlike many free agents, they aren't moving away from him because he is injured or his talent level has fallen off, but because his style of play does not fit their scheme (zone blocking). With our style of play moving away from zone blocking, a road grader seems like it would fit us perfect and fit in well with the personel we already have (which btw was the exact wrong type of personel for the failed zone blocking scheme we had last year).
  8. Sad news. And a real bummer. If you know the owners, ask them if there's some way we can help out. Especially if it's helping to replace stuff that insurance money can't buy (Bills Memorabilia)
  9. I can't even imagine the kind of radioactive gorilla crabs that girl could give you.... You need some of that medicated soap
  10. Ur currently fanatasizing about the day you convince Kyle Orton to run for office with you as his campaign manager. Aren't you?!
  11. 3rd and 12... I don't think anyone is actually hating on him as a person, they are just making fun of his bad football skills and smacking their head thinking about how much he counted against our salary cap. No doubt he has high motor and high character, a big reason why management kept him around as a vet, but just because we like the guy doesn't mean we can't make fun of him for being bad at football. Big Cat didn't insult him personally, just said he fell on his face when his target was right in his crosshairs. Clearly a joke and quite funny I might add. Don't be too sensitive, there are very few people that don't like Kelsay the person... just tons of us that dreaded Kelsay the player.
  12. And now we know where the inspiration for "I kissed a girl (and I liked it)"
  13. Bad stats throughout the article (the correlations are not strong enough to be considered significant). Main glaring hole is effect of total number of draft picks. One could argue that teams with less 1st round picks have traded them away for more 2-5 picks and ones with more first round picks gave up 2-5 round picks to get the extra first rounders. To truly show the point asserted by the article you have to show that when the total number of picks is equal having more 2-5 picks is more valuable than more 1st rounders. Otherwise it is just saying more picks is more wins which is not surprising.
  14. Torn between lynch and levitre. Seems lynch has finally learned to pound the pile and use his size rather than the spiller-esque dancing behind the line that he used to do here. Levitre probably fills the largest position of need on the team as everyone who played guard this year is (at this point) a hot mess. That being said, while levitre is an upgrade to what we have, not sure he is the mauler type of guard that fits the type of line we are building (#buildabully). Marshawn fits the type of offense we are trying to build to a T (now that he has finally "got it"). So in the end, I chose marshawn, despite his off the field antics, which I actually think Rex couldn't care less about.
  15. I know!!! And the patriots ..... Oh wait. Aww crap.
  16. Yeah, so I've lived in Chicago for 15 years. Not sure what bears team ur talking about.
  17. Best post about Sammy I've seen all year. Mostly because it involves funnel cake. I have weight issues.
  18. Then you know nothing about his resume. Every time he has been a position coach, he has developed stud players, every offence he has coordinated has improved greatly from the year before, and his only coaching stint with Oakland was a horrendous situation where he lost his starting qb, and the rb that was having an mvp season and still had the team playing for the playoffs in the last game. Read the article on his head coaching r candidate thread that was from when he was recently fired from Oakland, the read his Wikipedia article. Also.... And mind you I have never complained about this before, but why is this not being discussed in the "HC candidate:hue Jackson thread?" Almost makes me want to say "In" but i won't cause I'm not a douche. At least not today.
  19. "I feel horrible. I'm pissed off, and everybody's surprised. But I get it. At the end of the day, I have to swallow it. You have to win. We didn't." As for his immediate future, Jackson said, "Whatever comes up and something will come up I think I'm an OK head football coach, and I know I can coach offense." If nothing else, dude sounds hungry as hell and dying for an opportunity to prove all his detractors wrong and give baby Davis a large middle finger by showing him what he could've done. We have talked a lot about trying to figure which people will be a stud coach on their second go around and which ones will be a mess again. The characteristics I listed above sound like ones that would apply to someone who would be successful. And I have to agree with Big Cat, that Wikipedia entry shows that he has made studs of every player he has worked with as a positional coach, has improved offenses everywhere he went, and really did quite well with a hot mess of a situation in Oakland. I could get with this. Also, in terms of a power struggle, after what we just went through, I am quite certain pegula and Whaley will make it very clear what the power structure is before anyone is hired.
  20. Man, like whaley or not, it sure does seem easier to looking for a head coach with a GM in place. Jets and Bears seem to be having a hell of a time and losing a lot of ground on other teams as they try and fill their GM spot before they fill their coaching spot.
