  1. Fitz above both? But I thought he was the worst QB ever, and ANY QB would be an improvement! I read it right here in this forum! Hopefully EJ improves next year.
  2. The Bills have the worst QB in the league?! Some things don't change!
  3. Arrogance? How is it arrogance? We've beaten the Pats like once in the last ... long time... and they just blew out the defending super bowl champs (who are fighting for a playoff spot!). I think it'd be smart for Bills fans to keep their expectations in check heading into this game.
  4. I love the talk of Thad beating the Pats means he's some sort of savior... Yet Fitz beat the Pats and he was run out of town. So confused.
  5. Dareus better not be cut or traded, he plays great in this defensive scheme. He just needs to grow up a bit, that's all.
  6. I agree with the OP. We have three very good interior linemen. Carrington has shown sparks, but not consistent play. I think the Bills can re-sign him fairly easily if they want to, but they might not want to due to the fact that they already have three good guys and could fill in depth with cheaper talent (not that Alex will be super expensive).
  7. I'd be perfectly fine with sitting him, and letting his knees heal. Our season is done, no need to push the guy out there when he's still (clearly) healing.
  8. Well, that Powell guy was run out of town as being "worse".
  9. 34th out of 35 eligible in punt average. Love the guy, but it's probably time to hang them up. That being said... if we can't find anyone better, we shouldn't push him out of the door, heh.
  10. Yeah, part of me thinks that they care. But part of me wonders if it was just for the fans on the final home game... and this game doesn't really matter. Hopefully Marrone and co. can get the troops fired up. Something to build on for the off season.
  11. Compared to 2012, yes, the offense is about the same on average. Defenses started figuring out Chan, and we had (still have) some big holes with talent. I'm not a huge Hackett hater, but just watching the games, it seems to me that our offense struggles to move the ball compared to Chan's offenses. But ok, let's say the Offense is the same, and the Defense is better... But our record stays the same. Does that really mean the team is "better"? --- Checking out some extended stats for my own curiosity, not really for arguments sake, pulled from PFR: 2012: YPP: 5.6 (13th) TO L: 34 (28th) FD: 301 (20th) SC%: 30.0 (23rd) TO%: 17.4 (29th) Starting Position: 27.3 (17th) Average Drive Time: 2:32 (20th) Points per Drive: 1.66 (20th) 2012: YPP: 4.8 (29th) TO L: 27 (10th) FD: 282 (23rd) (average*16 comes out to 301, btw) SC%: 29.6 (24th) TO%: 12.8 (14th) Starting Position: 27.0 (23rd) Average Drive Time: 2:08 (31st) Points per Drive: 1.46 (25th) Seems we don't move the ball as well, but also don't turn it over as much. Hopefully we can get things moving more consistently next year. Also we should probably work on time of possession to give our D some better rest.
  12. Season is already over. As far as I'm concerned, he can take whatever time he wants for the grieving process.
  13. My expectations are that we get blown out. We tend to **** the bed on the road, especially against the Pats.
  14. They very much do. The question is... do the Bills care? We'll find out.
  15. Well, we have a chance to be 7-9... but in all likelihood we finish the season at 6-10. Same record doesn't mean "better" no matter what the moral victories are. Defense has progressed, Offense has regressed. Same ole Bills story, really.
  16. Love this. K. Williams, Dareus and Branch as an interior rotation has been very strong this year. Edit: “I like to stop the run and get out there and get my nose dirty,” Branch said recently. “Sometimes you have stats, sometimes you don’t. As long as we win I’m happy.” I like this!
  17. Usually when we fix a problem... we cause a problem for ourselves somewhere else. So lets say we magically get better QB play next year... We all know something else will fall apart.
  18. Considering what the Patriots just did to the Ravens? I doubt we'll be winning the game.
  19. McKelvin got burned also, but their QB failed to deliver the ball accurately. McKelvin should also be let go and burned at the stake, or something.
  20. Do it once, fine. Take a punishment, sit down, grow up, whatever. If he does this again, then it's a problem. But as of right now... a one time thing, hopefully Marrone is driving home the seriousness of what he did, and Woods will behave going forward.
  21. As much as our D has been exciting at times, and absolutely dominant yesterday... overall it's been fairly average this year. It's high risk, high reward, or feast or famine. It's significantly better than last year, but still not good enough. I'm not sure why "average" is praised so much around here. But I guess relative to our last few years of stinker D, it makes sense. Hopefully this is the first year, and more improvements are to come. That all said, we have way further to go on the offensive side of things. Seems we got better on defense, but worse on offense, heh.
  22. SJ doesn't have much trade value. CJ is extremely cheap for us, so no reason to trade him.
