Ding ding ding. Whaley has a thankless job really. I love FredEx, but dude is getting old, and we have McCoy, Karlos, and Brown on the roster, and some very tough decisions elsewhere. It sucks, but it makes sense.
Just because I have a different opinion of who should be starting, doesn't mean I don't support the guy who is starting. At the very least I'm glad it's a young guy with potential.
Well, he wasn't my choice, but hopefully he gets it done. I'm historically skeptical of the Vick like QBs, though.
Unfortunately I can see them trading EJ to capitalize on his value before his contract is up.
Wasted opportunity.
So, if I'm understanding this thread correctly.... EJ isn't good, because this is just pre-season. Tyrod, is good, though, because he's done some good things this pre-season. Cassel sucks, but Roman wants him to start.
At the very least, it's clear EJ has taken a large step forward under a different staff. My fear is that e rides the bench here, then goes to another team and lights it up, while Rex hangs his hat on a running QB.
It's safe to say most QBs that enter the NFL do not have a high chance of being a franchise guy, it's not that difficult to take a stance that QB X will likely not be a franchise guy.
