  1. We still have no QB on paper, and suddenly thin depth at positions we thought we were deep at. Not a surprise.
  2. I trust Roman with the call, hopefully Rex trusts him as well.
  3. I really liked what he showed last year, but this preseason has been rough. It'll be interesting to see who our depth WRs are. I'm assuming WR4 and WR5 are open, with Sammy, Woods, and Harvin being locks, and Easley being our Special Teams pick?
  4. The two young guys are still developing, Cassel is who he is. He probably has a job, but maybe if Tyrod and EJ show enough, we can save some money.
  5. I posted a positive thing, and Doug tried to drag it down! Go Bills QBs!
  6. Deez Nuts/Limberbutt McCubbins 2016
  7. We're looking a lot better heading into this season compared to last: Tyrod Taylor - 12/18, 114 yards, 6.3 ypa, 0 TD/0 INT, Rating 84, 10 rushes, 88 yards EJ Manual - 13/22, 188 yards, 8.5 ypa, 2 TD/0 INT, Rating 117, 4 rushes, 13 yards
  8. I think it's time to just recognize that things are looking a lot better now than we thought they were going to heading into this season. Tyrod Taylor - 12/18, 114 yards, 6.3 ypa, 0 TD/0 INT, Rating 84, 10 rushes, 88 yards EJ Manual - 13/22, 188 yards, 8.5 ypa, 2 TD/0 INT, Rating 117, 4 rushes, 13 yards These stats include some drops by scrub players that likely won't make the team, AND missing a ton of skill guys in general. Both our young QBs have shown a lot of promise so far, and so has the offense, which is a big difference than the last couple years. I'm excited to have one of the two lead our team in the regular season.
  9. 64% passing, and a QB rating of 110+ = EJ sucks
  10. I'm trying to keep myself in check, but I'm really excited about our offensive scheme. It's got wrinkles, options, and good blocking so far. Imagine giving our defense some rest with long sustained rives
  11. I really wonder what would have happened if Roman/Rex were coaching when EJ was drafted. He looks like a completely different player under this staff.
  12. I don't know how anyone could watch his pre-season performances and not come away thinking he's improved. He navigates a collapsing pocket MUCH better, and he's throwing his passes harder and sooner. His first couple years it looked like he was always thinking of not making a mistake, and kinda softly floated the ball only after seeing a WR get open. This year he's throwing a laser to a spot, and trusting his guys to make a play, and it's showing in his performances on the field. Does this mean he should be our starter? Not necessarily. I think there's still competition to be had. But EJ is very much on the right path, and it makes me hopeful for his development. I'd like to see him with a first team squad to see if he has the same type of performance with some better players surrounding him, and playing against better players as well. Hopefully someone gives us measurements on how much time Tyrod and EJ had in the pocket. My eyes tell me EJ had zero time relative to Tyrod.
  13. I give both Tyrod and EJ about the same chance at being a *franchise* QB. To me, 'franchise' means top 15, or top 10, for multiple years. There's not many of those QBs out there, so it's unlikely any QB becomes one. BUT what I have seen gives me a little hope
  14. All I know is, I'm really happy with how Tyrod and EJ have both looked in pre-season so far, it gives me a great amount of hope that we can actually move the ball down the field, control the clock, and hopefully put up some points. I was a little disappointed with Tyrod's stalled drives, BUT, he was also playing against a 1st string D, with 3rd string RBs/WRs. I think both our young guys have shown enough to be trusted with the starting position. Cassel is great veteran insurance, and probably valuable in the film room. Tyrod and EJ both give Roman more flexibility in play design.
  15. Wonder if Clay's contract could be re-worked next offseason, also... And likely Cassel would come off the books....
  16. Fine by me. We won't be spending big elsewhere anytime soon *shrugs* Kyle is probably a year or two from retirement (I'd assume?). Mario could maybe be restructured? But also the cap is basically shooting upwards every year.
  17. Sigh, just pay the man.. Draft a new LT or something.
  18. I've liked what I've seen from both Tyrod and EJ, so I put in an EJ vote to give him a little support
