It'd be really dumb to have Tyrod play as a 'pocket passer' due to an injured knee/ankle. He takes his sweet time, and our line is average at best. He will get hit. And defensive players will be aiming to put a little roll/tug into said hits.

I like Tyrod and hope he comes back kicking ass. That being said, I also like EJ, and I think his development was botched by Marrone and company. He's shown flashes, and obvious limitations... But then looked pretty polished all of a sudden this preseason. I'm excited to see if he has more success this time around, but I won't be judging it by this one game against an undefeated team, and likely missing serious weapons. Either way, he's a Bill, and everyone should be rooting for him.

I think the OL has been ok. On passing plays, Tyrod has quite a bit of time before he throws, I think he's one of the slowest in the league to release. On run plays, when Karlos or Shady have been healthy, they've been getting some productive yards. Tyrod has had success on designed runs as well. Boobie sucks. Boom did ok. So yeah, I think the OL is 'ok', not really sure if Kromer returning does anything, as I'm sure the current staff is talking with him during the week.

And you know what, it'll give us an idea of what we have with EJ under a new system. I don't really see this being a huge deal. Chances are we lose to Cincy with Tyrod, so might as well rest him. And like you said, we should still be able to beat Miami and Jax with EJ.

They're the 'same old Bills' until they make the playoffs. Don't really care what the makeup of the team is, I care about the results.

Bills have beat Colts (3-2), Dolphins (1-3), Titans (1-3). Combined, 5-8. We haven't beat any good teams either.

Tyrod was pretty terrible passing the ball today, other than the bomb to Hogan. He failed to recognize the coverages on multiple occasions, which left plays on the table. BUT, he battled like a damned warrior and took us down the field with his feet when passing wasn't working, and we ended up winning the game. Definitely a mixed performance, but a wins a win, and we're on to Cinci

We need Sammy, Shady, and Karlos back if we're gonna have a chance. Oh, Roman to call a better game, and for Tyrod to actually read a defense pre-snap and make some adjustments.

Also, I don't think either QB "horsecollar" was an actual horse collar tackle. So the Corey hit, and the Tyrod horse collar effectively offset. But, the call against us was a bigger deal due to context.

It's a call made because at speed it looks different than in replay. I can't fault the call, as the NFL is trying to make sure defenders don't hurt receivers. What really needs to be done is allow a booth ref to quickly review and potentially overturn close calls like that.
