  1. Really hope whomever our 2nd RB is this weekend gets some positive yards. Karlos is a beast, but you gotta have another guy ready. Not worried too much about Sammy sitting. Hogan isn't the same threat, but he's dependable, and can block well.
  2. Gonna take a very tall and athletic safety... not sure who that would be.
  3. As long as one of his assistants stays behind and can properly run a decent system, we'll be fine, imo.
  4. I think as long as Rex and Doug are on the same page, and as long as we provide him with decent offensive coaching staffs, he'll be around for a long time to come. I never understood why everyone thought we'd be running 3-4 heading into the season... I'm pretty sure I remember him saying he'd run the scheme based on our talent, and that talent is aligned with a 4 man front. :|
  5. Whaley is going to go full Rogue and fire Rex in the middle of the Jags game, while we still only have 1 loss. He'll also then release EJ, and trade Mario for Skelton.
  6. Regarding picks... I think the rule seems to be actively engaging before the pass, but you can generally run into someone as long as you sell it like you're trying to get through/past them... to me it didn't seem like Sammy grabbed onto the guy, but more so ran his shoulder into him, he latched on a bit because he didn't want Sammy to leak past him, and then you have your block. It's a pick. It's illegal in intention. But probably legal to the ref's eyes, because they can't tell intention until after the play.
  7. I think it's gonna be a surprisingly tight game. 23-20, Bills.
  8. I'd love to be able to see these during the game :|
  9. Been waiting for the all-22's!
  10. Isn't this just business as usual? Players do or don't get calls all the time based on their status.
  11. 2011, 7th in YPA; 2012, T1st in YPA; 2013, 10th in YPA... so even the two 'bad' years in that set of three, put him in good company. CJ's a talented player when healthy and in the right situation. I don't see why this is controversial to state. And I don't see why it's a problem to expect him to have similar success in NO, and to be confused as to why it's not happening. I'll make this my last post on the subject.
  12. You're quickly jumping the shark. Again, I've said that McCoy is the better player. But at the same time CJ has been very productive when on the field, other than the last year, so to me either something is up with him, or the team. You don't average 5+ypa over the course of three seasons without talent imo.
  13. It's also with CJ missing time/being hobbled multiple games. **** happens with RBs.
  14. 2011-2013: CJ - 516 att, 2738 yds, 5.3 ypa LM - 787 att, 3756 yds, 4.8 ypa This is with CJ splitting time with FJ. Admittedly, 2014, CJ did a whole lot of nothing due to injury (and even worse scheme/blocking), but again.. it's hard to argue that CJ isn't a pretty good running back. So to me, something is going on either with him, or the team, for him to not be used at all in NO. Its not like CJ is old, either.
  15. You truly think CJ is that bad?
  16. Yup. But, it's not 'still MIA', he's even less productive now than when with Marrone and the hapless offense we ran. So this is weird. Either he's in the dog house, or still injured, or they are really dumb.
  17. Where did I say Spiller is great? O.o Spiller is a good player, who is very productive when his health is there, and the scheme/talent suits him. McCoy is a very good player, who is very productive when his health is there, and the scheme/talent suits him. Both struggle when they have health issues, or the scheme is 'power' running with a suspect OL. Jesus man.
  18. If McCoy came to the Bills and CJ went to the Eagles at about the same time, I wouldn't be surprised if one's opinion of CJ was higher, and of McCoy lower... that's not me pushing CJ as great, nor is it me shitting on McCoy... just that both players went to different systems and had different conditions. My point is, they are similarly skilled players, McCoy is better, but CJ is pretty good, himself. CJ didn't work in Marrone's system AT ALL, but worked pretty damned well in Chan's system. McCoy has had varying levels of success depending on the system, and his health as well. Not really sure why you're getting so worked up about my opinion on the subject, Big C The Big Cat. Small, fast, elusive runners, more often than not depend on health, a certain sort of system, and a certain amount of line talent, to be successful. We saw that with CJ, and we're seeing that with McCoy to a lesser extent.
  19. They already are in other threads I'm fine with both players. I'm of the belief that most players in the league depend on circumstance whether they are "good" or "bad", only a handful are actually great regardless of where they are, who their coaches are, the talent surrounding them, etc.
  20. It's a bit amusing that for **** talked about CJ, McCoy has had the same exact issues here... banged up, can't run with much success up the gut, and tries to bounce too much outside. But, McCoy, like CJ, has had success in systems where they are given the ball space to make moves.
  21. He doesn't fumble THAT much, not really sure what the obsession is about it. He's had a couple bad ones, definitely, though. I'd bring him back in a heartbeat while Shady rests. But, as fans, we clearly don't know everything.
  22. Bills are 5th in PFR's Simple Ranking System
  23. I prefer looking at stuff like this... right in the middle of the pack so far. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2015/opp.htm#drives::11 Also: 5th in passer rating T3rd in takeaways Differential is important, imo: Them 78 rating Us 116 rating 3 turnovers 8 takeaways Stuff like that...
  24. I'd like to go, but we'll see closer to the date. I'll definitely hit the DC game though (I live in DC). Also, my experiences as a Bills fan in Philly have been positive, but I've never gone to a game there, just visited bars.
