It's not a position of great importance anymore. It's now a passing league. Only 9 have been taken in the first round over that last 6 seasons, and to directly answer your question, no I haven't. I also haven't heard them say that about any position to be honest with you...

I think there are too many players as it is. But due to injuries, I could see it increasing to 60. I think the NFL needs more conditioning and less practice/preseason games so there aren't so many injuries before the start of Week 1.

I agree with you about the losing to a point. I'm actually worried things could get worse since the expectations of this season are high. If the team starts out bad or it goes bad later in the season, I hope fans don't over endulge and cause altercations with opposing fans of the other teams or each other for that matter. People need to hold themselves accountable. That is something that has gone by the way side. It's nice to go to a game and have some beers and all, but think. Think about the people around you and how you're going to get home...

With all do respect, we did beat Green Bay and lose to Oakland last season. So... It all depends on the QB play. We know already know having a great D makes little difference in the win/loss record. The 2000 NFL was a different era. In 2015, Dilfer wouldn't cut it!

With all do respect, I've never seen pre-season as a determining factor for keeping or cutting a players. Usually it's always what they show in training camp. Either they can play or can't. That's the NFL we live in today. Maybe 10-20 years ago that wasn't the case, but that's just the way I see it. Bottom line: If EJ's doing the same crap, I don't expect him to be here when the real bullets start to fly.
