  1. Haslett took a team that didn't even know what the playoffs are, with a non committal, goofy owner and got them to the playoffs. NO has never been committed to winning. I think Haslett has done a pretty good job with less tools that Mularkey has had here.
  2. At least he has experience at HC and he bleeds Buffalo blue. NO is a tough stint as a HC, especially this year and a return to Buffalo may be just what he needs to rekindle the flame that got him a HC job in the first place. He would be a significant upgrade over anything on the current staff.
  3. There are two key words in that statement: we - TD will not accept responsibility for his failures try - nowhere does he indicate a committment, we just try What a sad way to run an organization.
  4. Mularkey got the job mainly because of TD's insecurity. He got nixed by Cowher and does not ever want to have a coach that could one day usurp him. Any guy who will direct security to confiscate signs that call for his firing and that point out his disdain for fans who criticise him (so called jerks) obviously has a problem.
  5. On other teams they are known as "Tight Ends" and they actually catch passes and stuff if you can believe it. In Buffalo, however, they are known simply as missing, you can see their pictures on milk cartons and billboads all over town.
  6. Public police, at least partial taxpayer funding, it would be an interesting case for the ACLU. Especially since they have allowed much more obnoxios and obscene material. The selectivity would be an issue.
  7. You call refusing admission to a taxpaper funded facility because of a slogan on a shirt not abridging free speach? I have see shirts that say things like f**k the dolphins allowed and those are certainly a lot more offensive than this. In a private facility you may be right, but then again, many private clubs have been forced to accept members on Bill of Rights grounds. However, the Ralph is too close to public for this kind of behavior.
  8. I wouldn't call wearing a shirt that is not obscene, racist or threatening in what can easily be construed as a public place "doing anything you want". I know a good chunk of my tax dollars are invested in Orchard Park.
  9. Its so nice to know that in addition to being a waste as GM TD also has also chosen to ignore 1st ammendment rights in a stadium that is at least partialluy funded by public monies. Its hard to imagine a GM anywhere being so ignorant and thin skinned. This guy and his merry band of morons has to go. This is a travesty and the taxpaying public should be appalled.
  10. The answer is simple. Mularkey does not have a clue. The longer this buffoon remains as HC, the worse this team will get.
  11. Ya know, I expect this from basically a rookie QB, what I can't take is the inability to put him and this team in postions to succeed. NE is 31st in the league against the pass, at least make a lame attempt to exploit that. Go for it on 4th a 3 when behind and in their end. Buffalo's TE's can only be found on milk cartons and there is an amber alert for the screen pass. I can live with developing a QB who has potential, I can't abide a totally inept GM and HC.
  12. A heartbreaking loss that can be laid almost exclusivly at the feet of the coaching staff followed up with a total blow out in your own house. An offensive line that continually misses assignments, is usually overpowered and simply isn't NFL caliber. A defensive line that can't generate pressure against a NE line made up of backups and backups playing out of position. 4th and 3 at the NE 46, down two scores, no playoff hope, punt. With the exception of Terrance McGee, Josh Reed and London Fletcher, a team that laid down and quit. Just what more do you need, Ralph, to make you ast and fire Mularkey and Donahoe before this once proud franchise slips into obscurity.
  13. Arm tackles, missed tackles, no one willing to make a stick, missed assignments, etc., etc., etc....Ralph, the players and the fans would be far better served by firing this band of fools NOW and give a new management team time to assess the talent, build a draft strategy and establish their system prior to the start of camp!
  14. Dear Mike: Attached is a re-order form for our Part #16758 White surrender flags. We understand that the ample supply you ordered at the start of the season has been exhausted. We understand you had top use your own handkerchief on 4th and 3 from the NE 46, down by two scores, no hope of post season and your players near mutiny. Dangeous business, Mike. Our flags can easily be spotted fome distances approaching 100 yards. Can you say the same about your hanky? Good thing the half was only 8 seconds away when you ran that off tackle up the middle. Certainly no sense in giving your team a vote of confidence or in attempting to make something happen when you were out of white flags. By the way, could you please inform us of who we should contact for next year's order?
  15. Its called deflection. MM is deflecting fan and media criticism of his complete amd utter incompetence. It's pretty bad when a HC has to resort to theatrics like this to cover his own insecurities.
  16. Though I don't think it will happen, it should. Mularkey and Gray betrayed their team today. The defense was in the zone and "feeling it" and Gray backed off and let them slip out of it. Mularkey for the second week in a row, gave up on a critical third down and ran the ball in a situation that could have won or changed the and needed at least some imagination. Both deserve to get their walking papers. We have at least interm replacements in Krumrie and Wyche, so why not send a stong message and let your investment (players) know you want them to have a chance to succeed.
  17. The parking attendent in Lot 2 could do a better job. Wyche as HC, Krumrie as DC and Modrak as GM sounds good to me.
  18. Yeah, prevent, soft coverage, whatever. After being agressive all day, to sit back and let play come to you is inexcusable with a lead. As I said in the beginning, Gray and Mularkey just plain surrendered. I think you would be hard pressed to find a single player on the squad with a ounce of respect left for the head coach and coordinators. And a team in that boat is just riding out the season. Changes need to be made and quickly.
  19. There is a difference between agressive defense and sending people every time, and going into "prevent" mode, especially against a back up. Anyone who didn't see that today must have been watching some other game.
  20. Its not gettting dumber, its becoming quitters. I have never seen a coach with as much quit in him as Mularkey. All year he as run up the white flag in game changing moments and cost this team. Gray, however, appears to be getting dumber with each passing week. This was a disgace to the franchise, the fans and players. Mularkey and Gray both deserve to be fired after surrendering like that. Lets hope Ralph has the guts to do what is needed.
  21. and cost their team the game. A back up QB (and a bad back up QB) comes in and Gray stops the pressure, gives up the middle of the field and allows him to dink and dunk down the field for two scores and a win. Third and 9 with a chance to put the game away with a conversion and Mularky runs a draw to a team that has gap blitzed the entire series and gets stuffed. Last week, 3rd and goal 25 yards out and they run a sweep. How many times has he punted inside the 50. This guy surrenders more than a French general. There is no way this team can have any confidence in the coaches and game plan. Firing is too good for these two bozos. In fact calling them bozos is an insult to clowns everywhere. If Ralph has any sense left, he should clean house tomorrow, no, he should not even allow these two the courtesy of a plane ride home.
  22. No one on today's d line was obtained by trading up. Bannan 5th round, Sape 6th, Anderson 3rd, Kelsay 2nd and Schobel 2nd. 3 of the 5 are starters only due to injury.
