A team does not and is not one demensional when your rb is in the top 5 in the league for rushing...... 40% rushing against the #1 rush defense is impressive coming from a group of lineman most say are average at best. Chan calls his plays week to week to against the opposing teams weakness. The pats are one demensional. I can't see how you are saying all this. They had one bad game so far against a good defensive team.

With all the people here saying he's doing good, and I have been one stating that he is back but used differently, I WAS WRONG! Buffalo's defense lost this game! Here is why: How can a rookie qb that was having issues in the first half come out and explode in the 2nd. If you are a defense that has minimum sacks this year at best, you would be licking your chops to put in a mix of blitz packages to confuse the young qb and get sacks. I might say he's in the packaga and set up, so it should be the defensive coordinators job. So who do people blame a guy that used to get a lot of sacks or the coordinator? In my opinion, I think it's both. Bring in Moats and see what he has to offer.

I agree I just don't understand why on earth would we not have blitzed this young qb and been all over him? Our 3-4 is extremely soft. I have been sticking up for Merriman and others and the defense this whole time. What I watched is just showing that our defense is extremely soft. How could we let such a young qb get so many plays on us and why couldn't put any pressure on him? What are we missing on defense? My take on this and I feel it's the LB's because we now have a strong front so we can't point fingers at them anymore. I would easily say it's our LB's who are not performing or putting the heat on like they should be as well.

To me it show's that the coaching staff realizes that they have a need for an outside pass rusher. If Moats is it then so be it. To say Merriman is old and not cutting it to me is wrong. He may not be getting the xtra drive needed to get sacks, but knows his position and plays sound. I think the coaches believe to put Moats in as a pass rusher on a third down situation is a good thing. We will see what happens. I can see Moats stepping in and rushing the passer in a heart beat. I hope this is not the case but we will see.

This has some reality to it. Buffalo won't miss 5 games in a row. Suh for Detriot is a great player, but we have Wood. He can man handle Suh and has done it before. Look it up and people will see he has man handled Suh in college and in the pro's. I take Wood in that contest and say Suh gets a in great deal but in all Wood has a better day. If that match up came to reality I give it all to Chan the Man as a coach and our coaching staff. They would make the right adjustments and turn into a frenzy. The issue with the Bills in years past in the 90's is no adjusting and going with what was doing right. This team makes adjustments and is not afraid of adapting to the field of play which makes them extremely dangerous in my opinion. I hate comaparing them as it's not fair to the older Bills but feel this teams coaching is better than the older Bills. Not putting down Marv, but feel Chan can make the adjustments needed. IF, and a HUGE IF we go to the dance, we can win it. Just because we won one game against one team, doesn't make us contenders. If we beat the jets in NY and the pats in New England then we have something. A home game does not make us contenders until we can dance on the road. The chemistry is there though!

There was a nice article about the Bills and the NFL. The issue I have is Golisano saying he would be interested in buying the Bills if/when the time was right. I have an extremely strong opninion about this. I'm all for keeping the the Bills in Buffalo, but the issue I have with this he is not a sports fan but a business man trying to invest. The Sabres were just a team that looked at the bottom dollar. Like many businesses if not all it is about the dollar, and not building champions. When he owned the Sabres not one person could explain why the Sabres wouldn't go after top athletes. Now the Sabres have a new owner and the truth comes out. The old owner never wanted to pay for talent. Granted the cap is in place, but when a team has an owner that wants a champion they spend for it. Golisano would not be a good owner because he would do what he could to provide some sort of entertainment but not build a championship team. Look at the Sabres this year and watch how far they go. The ffel is different and the mindset is different. Chan the Man has built this team up to great new highs. Imagine if they had an owner who let the facilities go down because the cost are too high. What player wants tocome to a place like that. It's good to know they want to keep the Bills in Buffalo, but at what costs?

He reminds me of Fitz. Great qb's become great qb's with the chemistry of the team. Chan the Man doesn't need a Andrew Luck or Manning, he needs a qb that understands his system and the coach to understand him. Chan is and always has been considered one of the true great offensive coordinators of his time. He has a coaching staff he can relate to and a management that listens to him and is on the same page. Everyone around says the same thing about qb's and what's great or not. It's the system he learned and fit into him and Chan understanding how Fitz works. Put Fitz in a Redskin uniform and ask if he fits in? It's the sytem he's in and the chemistry that is built. Yes a qb needs to have strong attributes like an arm, accurate, quickness or mobility. Chan in my opinion really studied Fitz and installed a system that works for Fitz and Fitz being as smart as he is (considered one of the smartest athletes)I think its the system he's in that will work.

What? The NFL has had NE and the Steelers in it for almost ten years now. I would easily say NE is a dynasty along with the Steelers, and would put Indy in that mix as well. I think the way it's done is harder and not all the same players of course but would easily say those teams have been legendary.

I predicted an 8-8 before the season. The stars all aligned and the universe set things straight for us to win over the pats. I'm now saying 9-7 or 10-6. Even if we lost every game from here on out, It was a thing the Bills just had to do is beat the pats.

Promo I bet you'd agree to let it happen. ESPN has lost it's touch long ago. Look who their experts are. Clayton? He most likely couldn't bench a football so how did he become an expert? Let these guys say what they will, and let the Bills keep going. I said that the Bills will most likely go 8-8 and that would be considered a decent year. Chan the Man has really turned this team into not only doing but BILLieving in themselves, and it shows. If and a big IF the Bills sweep the jets and pats will people really look at the Bills. For the record, Buffalo has a good to great chance of going 5-0 while the pats and jets stand to go 2-3. I just hope it happens.

17-10 Buffalo. The Bills defense get 6 sacks on the day which changes the game. Fitz has a very bad day along with Freddie. Defense saves us and win pull out a very boring nasty win.

17-10 Buffalo. The Bills will struggle on offense and Freddie will not get it going. He will run for 70 yards but tough yards. The defense will come up big and get 6 sacks this game. Lights Out has a great game with 2 1/2 sacks. Fitz has a tough day and not in rythem but we are still a better team and this low scoring game is a test for sure. I expect a boring blitzing day with a lot of mistakes on both teams. We might even have a greatspecial teams day...

Every dog has it's day! I called last week with a 31-28 victory. This week I'm going to say Buffalo's defense puts up great numbers and go on a sack frenzy of 6. That's right we have 6 sacks this week and could get more but we ease off on the rookie in the late 3rd quarter and fourth. Williams will get one, Lights Out has two and a half, and the that new pick??? I think he was a decent draft pick???? Oh yeah Marcell something gets a sack and a half. (yes I'm joking, I know who he is). This will be a tougher game but we win because our defense has a field day. Fitz has a bad game and Freddie gets slowed down. This show's the Bills are a team and we pull through a low scoring game. 17-10 Buffalo. We can finally give that defensive front a good write up for messing with the new qb. 6 sacks in a game says a lot.

Thats because he was the offensive coordinator for Bill. Bill even called it before the game the Bills are a legitt team and it's not who you play but when. He called it and said we can and will win. More than just ties with these guys but a true respect that goes deep. I think Chan was the right person for the job and it took only a year to develop what we have is incredible. How many thought our offense would be tops in the NFL? I thought we would be better but not tops and not this good. Chan is making history in front of us and man it feels good. If people up in Buffalo aren't buying this guy his 6 pack of Bush Beer in cans than I don't know what to say because that Good Ole BoY can sure coach a team.

If there is one thing we have learned from seasons past is not to get over cocky. The Bengals have a decent defense and just because they have a rookie qb doesn't mean a thing. How many sacks have the Bills gotten this year? Does this mean we suck? The Bengal can beat us as any other team. The Bills beat one team, and yes we had a bit of luck on our saide this time. It doesn't mean a thing, ask Dicky that when the signed an extension to him. Do we not remember that? Let's not get a head of ourselves......

Great Post! You should have put it the O-line though. These guys are playing with some spunk for sure. The holes that Jackson has is unreal and the Amish-Rifle has had time to throw as well. I HAVE TO BE ONE THAT THOUGHT WE MIGHT HAVE ISSUES WITH THE LINE. Ihave been proven wrong and Chan The Man really has this team BILLieving in themselves along the rest of us. Chan for President! I WILL SAY I HAVE PUT IT OUT THERE BUFALO WINS 31-28 OVE THE pats. Yes I DID! I did say 8-8 on the season will be fair or better. Anything under is a failure. Now 3-0 with the Bengals and Philly. We go 5-0 we have a good shot of 10-6 season. The jets look bad this year with no run game, and their center is down. patriots are one demensioanal, and miami just sucks this year. We have a shot!

I like the way you think, but why playoffs? We can go to the dance! It's a game and a win against this club is no different than any other. Just because they win one at home is not saying this, but if we sweep them then forget about it.

Fitz can't be in competition with Brady. The bottom line is Brady is a great qb and Fitz is good. That being said Fitz can take Buffalo down the field and the Bills can and will win. The reason is turnovers and luck. I think Fitz will throw an int or two. I think this game, the Defense and special teams are the ones who beat the pats. Fitz and his arm and the offense can't do it alone. brady will get sacked a few times. Remember Wanny was the defensive coordinator in dallas when cheatashit was with the giants. He knows how this guy is and they have a history. Chan also knows him when he was with pittsburgh. The coaching staff will have their work cut out and will have a great game plan set for this. The Bills defense is better than the pats and special teams are also. They will have the Amish Rifles back on this and we pull it out 31-28.

Great post. I tried to see it but missed so far.I have always liked Sterling, but it just amazes me how Buffalo wins two games and is now on track of being a contender. Last year the Bills were laughed at often and by everyone. PLEASE SHOW AN EXPERT WHO LAST YEAR SAID FITZ WAS WORTH ANYTHING???? I'm just saying because even in the draft the Bills were often laughed at, and how many said Buffalo would win more than 5-6 games???? Now we have the AMISH- RIFLE and he is showing his stuff, and people are now saying this? The 91 Bills???? That's an insult to those guys, and not fair. Granted Fitz paid his dues along with most on the team. The chemistry is set and it's showing. Chan has everyone on the same page and even Merriman most likely told to set the edge instead of getting upfield as Oak was a running team. The pats will have their hands full. I hope the Bills do go to the playoffs and show these guys what' up. You heard it first in other posts though. Buffalo 31 pats 28. Special teams pull through big time and "Lights Out" show's up and the Defense has at least 3 sacks.....

I'm sure if you watch most qb's they throw a pass or two that would've could've should've been picked. It's part of the game and we got lucky. I'm not worried at all because we should have picked off Campbell a few times ourselves.

So many people are saying he's not playing good. I think he is ten times better than what we had. I don't think it was in the game plan to have him rush the qb, and when we did it was a screen or slant pass. I think they had us remain in the areas and stop the running lanes. Remember KC and OAK. are run teams. Lets see if we dont something with the pats before we cut or say Merriman isn't playing well. Our defense has shored up BIG TIME. I would take a team effort and doing what we have been than a guy who has some sacks. Sacks are important but the last two teams were/are run teams so we will see when we meet up with a pass happy team.

How can anyone ask a question like this. So if they beat the pats it they will lose the next 2 and if they lose to the pats they will win the next 2? HELLO! You play to win the game! How about beat the pats and win the next 2. That would be the easiest since they would be on such a high it would be unreal. Win the the next 3 which they can do. Let me guess the iggles are a superbowl bound team, please. Buffalo will run all day on them. Cincy will be a tough team to beat but we can do it. Cincy gives Buffalo a bigger game than philly.
