  1. If your argument is based on the amount of money invested in the position then you need more help than the Bills. Kelsay, if we find a true OLB, would only be on the field as a DE in our 4 man fronts. So that leaves the contracts of a low round pick and a possible gimp with an easily disposable contract if he can't stay healthy. Oh wait, now I get it. I must be talking to RW.
  2. When it comes to cocaine and whores, I find that watching film and preparation are overrated anyhow. Some of us just seem to get out of bed with that kind of talent.
  3. "People tend to forget last year's picks" for a reason. We were 4-12. For Troup and Carrington I think that it will come down to physical matutity. These are power position guys that have only begun to develop physically. Power lifters don't hit their prime until their 30's barring injuries. Most of my favorite DTs of all time took 3 or 4 years before they began to show what they could do. How good was Kyle Williams as a rookie? Now look at him. As for Moats, this coming season, if it's a full one, will probably tell us what his true upside actually is.
  4. Not all, but many Bills fans seem to be against having good 2nd and 3rd stringers. Just because someone likes a starter they seem to be against getting talent at that same position as if ANY position on this team is loaded. It seems that fans like to discount how many starters seem to go on IR every year. As I recall everyone talked about our "3 headed monster" of a RB corpse, yet 2 of them were injured to start the season. Go figure.
  5. It's real simple. Our LBs suck. As you add LBs to the roster the weak will get culled from the herd in August and that would be that. With any luck, Kelcey will be pushed off the roster due to bringing in better talent. If he is still on the team in September, then you know that our OLB and 4-3 End positions still need a lot more talent.
  6. The point that I was trying to make is that having good depth at any position should be a side effect of trying to stock pile talent and having to relegate good players to the bench because your starters are so damn good. I don't believe in drafting a guy for depth, he should be someone that you believe can develop into a good football player. New England always has multiple 1st and 2nd round picks partly because they are not afraid of accumulating talent at positions that are not necasarily needs. When a contract is almost up and it's decision time, they chose who to trade away and cash in big time. Since we play multiple defensive fronts plus rotate the players in those fronts, it is safe to say that calling any of our DL backups does not accurately define their role on the team.
  7. Retard? Outstanding diagnosis. You must be a real treat in person with this kind of attitude. By the way, you are right. I did not notice that you drafted 2 of Greenbay's players because it never happened. I guess my question is this, if a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it, does that make Buffalo Bavarian a GM? Based on your answer, I will then understand who the real retard is.
  8. Bills fans have lowered their expectations so much that doing OK equals "he should be a pro bowler".
  9. Why again would Troup and Carrington be wasted picks? Oh I get it, your not a fan of DEPTH in case of injuries. I suppose that when a starter goes down it's wise to have a non drafted scrub take his place. Image what the Packers would have done last year if they had subscribed to that draft philosophy.
  10. I could not agree more brother.
  11. I guess I missed the part where you are affected by this impasse. In the court of public opinion, everyone is overpaid anyways. Being that it is a global market place, I say let's tap into the illegal workforce in this country and start a league of the poorest people we can find. If they refuse to play for what they are offered, then we grab a pickup truck and go get some new players on the corner. Who is with me? Since I am an iron worker, I can say that I would prefer that these people did not attempt to do my job. Once you've seen one person fall to their death, you never want to see that again. Besides, I get paid WAY to much anyhow! Just ask someone who has a desk job.
  12. Nothing about the NFL has changed where I sit. You should take advantage of the situation and treat it as an educational tool. The NFL is not unlike any other multi-billion dollar enterprise. In that light, I say it is good to be reminded as a fan what our part truly is in the grand scheme of things. It seems that we vote with how we spend our money collectively. Every second of the day we have a perpetual election of what we truly value as a whole. The NFL clearly believes as a whole that the fans will keep them in office so to speak. Unfortunately when it comes to the Bills I do not use rational judgement and will enjoy my tickets when football does in fact resume. Say what you will, but when the games are on you'll be watching this s*** like the rest of us.
  13. I think that the American worker should be paid as little as possible. There are over 3 billion people living in absolute poverty in this world. If we could start importing these guys to compete against the Mexicans I say do it. The modern Mexican border jumpers are a little to Americanized for my taste. The going rate on day laborers is getting to be a little much.
  14. I think that Bills fans would have been happier if we had put 8 in the box so that we could get torched deep on play action passes. If we would have brought more guys into the box I have zero faith that our lack of talent would have stopped the run anyway. Unfortunately I have complete faith that our secondary would have been torched and put the game out of reach by giving up big passing plays. As much as I am not a fan of Edwards, the notion that scheme can overcome the POS that we have on the field is rediculous.
  15. As a matter of fact, we were 4-12 because of him. I can think of one catch that he could've made which would have added a win.
  16. I am sorry dude. What is it we are going through again? I think the Japanese and Libyans are going through some things too. Perhaps it is your perspective that is out of focus.
  17. I am happy that Stroud is gone. He was terrible this year as a 3-4 end. I watched him closely many times. Simply put, he seemed physically overmatched almost every time and has no bull rushing ability. I wish him well.
  18. The Stealers lost the Super Bowl. Would Holmes have been the big factor in that game if he was still a Stealer playing opposite Wallace? It is certainly possible. If the goal is to win a championship, then one could argue that the Steelers season was in fact sunk and that Holmes was a missing piece to Ben's arsenal that could have put them over the top. I personally do not believe that, but it is not illogical to think that way. When you say average players account for at least 50% of the NFL, are you talking about starters or the full 50 man roster? Backups on most teams aren't usually very good.
  19. This is breaking news. Many people had to suck at their jobs to account for our decade of failure. Thank you, I was unaware.
  20. If it does not happen, it won't be because we have 2 NTs already. Kyle was most effective this year in our 4-3 alignment. When playing the zero, he was not performing better than Solai, and was a liability himself at times against the run when playing as a true nose.
  21. You make an awesome point bro. If I was screwed like that and the Bills won the Super Bowl, all I can say is watch out Jerry, I'm gonna beat you like a red headed step child.
  22. My kinda of guy? I don't care what he does or who he does it with, my comments had everything to with your moral high ground which you are trying to establish here. Putting other people down for what is a very human situation that could have been avoided by her parents is probably unnecessary. You completely leave out the aspect of being young and having a good time. And as far as you "knowing all you need to know about me", then perhaps I can say the same about you. By the way, perhaps you would like to share a story with us about one of your most regretful mistakes when you were young. Or were you always without sin?
  23. So true. In one sense, I would love for the Bills to get this guy, but hey, he does have only one quality season under his belt. That season, being a contract year, makes it difficult to separate whether he became a good player late or simply played for a contract.
