    My thought is they should target a veteran that has shown the ability, but not necessarily a #1(Tyler Boyd comes to mind) AND also draft someone that can develop into a true #1. That would probably require a trade down or the second round.

    I thought about this myself too this morning. Another point to consider is that of these teams; Baltimore, Indy, Chicago, and NE (at home) were games with NP/DA at QB. Not saying that Josh would have beaten these teams, but it's something to factor in when evaluating the season as a whole.

    Not to take anything away from Zay's route or Daboll's play calling, but I believe at that point Miami was down to maybe 1 starter in the secondary.

    I think there is a 99% chance he won't be. Keeping him around to be the mentor Josh needs and apparently already has greatly benefited from. He'll be inactive every week, IMO.

    I think Wallace has all the tools to be a solid starting CB. Let him play and see how he responds. At this point experience may be all he needs. Either way between White, Johnson, and hopefully Wallace and Lewis too, the CB position looks very stout at the moment.

    Ike is already on the 53, just has not been active on game day yet.

    Zay always was going to be fine, just needed a bit more time than most expected. He is a solid possession receiver and will look even better when we get a true #1.

    Doesn't that make him the only WR currently on the roster with such a number? That's crazy to me for some reason.

    I remember seeing Zay with some nice blocks in the run game, which was something I always liked about Woods. Reliable route runner that contributes well in the run game - I'll take that any day.

    Agree with everything said. With regard to Lewis, even if they like D. Johnson as the eventual starter opposite White, Lewis has shown more in my eyes than Gaines and should be active on Sundays.

    He had one to KB called back on a crap penalty yesterday. Daboll seems to call for 2-3 a game, a shame the best one in weeks did not count.

    I think Clay has played alright this year all things considered, though I agree he will likely be gone next year. Zay will definitely survive the purge and maybe Croom too. I think he has done pretty well when given opportunities.

    Glad to see they brought Marlowe back, even if just PS, like most of us expected.

    I agree with regard to Zay. He seems to be the only WR that has started to "click" with Allen so far. I look forward to watching them find better chemistry as the season goes on.

    I think we can go more shallow than that at times.
