I have a feeling the Bills knew of this injury to an extent and thought maybe he only had a few good seasons left before he could not play at his current level do to nagging injuries.They usually don't get better and surgeries can be worse.

If Fred has another year in him. fine, I wouldnt put it past him playing a third down role more. The man is in shape n has low miles. I wouldn't draft a RB this year with Spiller under contract.
