  1. Long thread for naught. This is not that hard to figure out. They wanted Spiller, he was there, everyone had him well ahead of the other running backs and they took him. Story over. As for the quick decision and short time to make the Spiller pick, why not? If there was going to be a deal done, they would have had it done already. Buddy knows what he wanted and he wanted Spiller and not Best. If Best were the better back, Buddy would have no issue reaching to get him (ala Troup) so really, what's so hard to figure about this? Let's play and settle it.
  2. Preview and stockpile of names for next year's lockout.
  3. How a about avoiding this board because because you are obviously incapable of rational thought and you lower the IQ of TSW with each post.
  4. Wow, this reads like the condensed version of the complete works of Jerry Sullivan! You'd think there would be one thing that is right with the team but I guess not.
  5. Look, JW didn't vote and didn't condone cheating! He merely said the AP was within its right to re-poll the NON-AP writers for a recount. Those writers were wrong, but the AP wasn't and JW shouldn't be beat up by people like you that won't read the damn facts! People like you ran off Tim Graham from our board, so back the Hell off and think before you write.
  6. We'll it's hard (damn, there it is again) I mean, difficult to ignore when My-Yahoo's headline on my sports section is "Buffalo's Wang Big in China." I defy anyone reading that without an eye-roll.
  7. Sports journalists (sorry JW) to America: It's okay to cheat. I guess Barry Bonds' record is safe.
  8. The naysayers have yet to hit this post. They will be handwringing over the fact that we have but two players who have ever a played in a 3-4 and some who are moving from DL to LB, etc. They have a point. But defense is defense. Beat your man (or men in a 2 gap) and make a play. We will make mistakes at first, that's fine. But for the first time in a long, long time, we will not bet blown off the line of scrimmage and dominated physically. I like what is happening and really look forward to seeing this team become a tough bunch to play instead of pushovers.
  9. So if I follow: Poke in eye > Kick in the nads. Therefore, Ellis > Maybin. Mathmatically I think this truly reflects the material world of OLB's on the 2010 Buffalo Bills defense. Wouldn't it be a kick in the nads if Batten > Maybin?
  10. Do you cut and paste that response in every thread? I've read it about six times today. Relax, it's still football and two gap or one gap, it's beat your guy and make a play.
  11. You're a better man than me. I was just going to say something like...you seriously started a thread with a "why don't we trade Marshawn even up for Gaither? Really? Only if they through in Flacco....
  12. Maybin, Williams, Stroud, (Ellis - Schobel)
  13. +1 I think we have six related threads on the board now. Same stuff on all of them. Gnashing of teeth, some sound thinking, flights of fancy that all is dandy and those pounding the death knell. It's all very dramatic......and completely out of our hands. I'm not fretting, just watching what the Budster does with much interest!
  14. Which is further evidence of why the board hates King.
  15. "For years, I've felt we needed a mobile QB" There, fixed.
  16. Blah Blah. I myself had a similar rant back in the day when they hired that loser coach nobody wanted and everyone passed on - Marv Levy.
  17. This is the 4th damn thread currently on this topic. Let's recap: 1. No credible source says a deal is in the works; 2. The Raven's say they are not shopping him; 3. He's injured; 4. Many of us think he's a lazy malcontent; 5. Many of us think he's a top 5 LT; 6. Some of us think he's worth a #2 pick and more; 7. Some of us don't; 8. Some think the deal is close; 9. Some think the whole thing has been BS from the start. That should cover 90% of the posts, so please - let's stop starting Gaither trade threads!
  18. Maybin < Batten........yikes.
  19. I think that sums it up pretty well.
  20. Whatever, it's still Peter King and at last check, we hate him, but we like this idea that he is "promoting" from his devil's den in New England.
  21. Long post, but well thought out. I happen to agree and fully expect to see TE under center against Miami. Actually I'm really intrigued to see how much a competent offensive coach can improve TE's performance by playing to his strengths. I also fully expect TE to get knocked out of a game by mid year after Wang or Bell whiff against a speed rush or someone misses against a blitz. Despite it all, I'm pumped for what's to come.
  22. Another thread reporting Gaither is injured. Let's just face it, this is not going to happen. Buddy thinks Wang and Bell can do the job.
  23. Foot problems are a bear. I'm the middle of recovering from foot surgery now and it takes forever to be able to use it like you used to. No clue what injury Gaither has but the pounding your feet take at LT has got to be brutal. I think this injury report will be a good excuse as any for the FO to stay away from Gaither. I think Buddy believes that Wang and Bell can do the job and he won't sink a ton of money or give away high picks for a top performer now. This is a rebuilding year and that's what we have to all understand - like it or not.
  24. I lost my tally sheet, but I think your right. We hate Peter King.....but we like this idea, despite it coming for Peter King, so the idea overshadows the man. That work?
  25. Don't confuse a good b*tch session with facts! You're absoulutely right and like it or not folks, them's the facts.
