My sense is that yeah, this is a better team and Whaley did a great job of filling the holes and picking up good talent at a reasonable cost. On the face of it, I'm feeling pretty good about the season ahead. Now I'll see how fast this thread becomes another EJ debate and/or indictment.
Well, Hairston is looking good at least. Hey, let's tuck this article away and see if it holds water. I put some stick in such things but this analysis seems a bit of a reach.
If Thad protects the ball better, he will be a good back up. He played well for an inexperienced kid who was a late addition last year. Should make a step forward this year with a year behind him along with the same coaches and playbook.
We may also have some cap space created if there are more trades. DW has shown he's not shy about moving anyone if the return is right. Also it's good to be focusing on one need instead 5 or 6 needs!
Good give and take. Howard and Jeremy pushed him on Stevie and Byrd. But Doug's the deal. Seems confident. He also seems like a guy that will pull the trigger on those who don't measure up...hope Marone was listening.
In today's NFL that's average. Big, tall and fast is how things are going with receivers and TE's. That's why I covered Evans, Niklas, etc. But we'll see how it goes with our wideouts and if our TE by committee works out. Hope so!
Sure handed Scott? Yeah he strikes fear in opposing DC's. If you realky don't think we could use an upgrade at TE well then we're just not going to agree. As it stands now we have a bevy of smaller fast receivers and the one big guy we have is far from automatic.
