  1. I want BILLS to trade with ST. Louis from 9 to 13 and get one of their 2nds and Draft Aaron Donald if he's available or CJ Moseley...or better yet trade back again with someone and take Kyle Van Noy late in the 1st.... then take WR and OT in 2nd. That would be *my preference. But if the BILLS trade up to 5, I'd like Evans...and honestly, really don't want to trade up much higher b/c I think it would cost them too much and as good as Watkins is, BILLS still need an OT, LB for the future and a DE as well.
  2. And if true, nicely done bandit...a credit you would rightly deserve. .....just hope the BILLS wouldn't have to leverage the future to get it done, if in fact they make such a move. Because while I'm all about giving EJ another year to prove he IS the Quarterback of the future for the BILLS, in my mind the BILLS cannot afford to give him more than this year. So to me, they need as much fire power for next year's Draft in the event they need to move up for their Franchise QB. This team is nearly poised to really make some playoff push and QB will be the last remaining piece of that puzzle...not to mention the BILLS are just about in the same boat as the Jags when it comes to NEEDING a Brand, a Face of the Franchise, to help energize their fan base and know they've got a good to great signal caller for the next decade.
  3. I saw on the NFL Network on Tuesday night when all of their guys had a chance to Mock through the 1st Round, alternating turns for picks, and Ebron to the BILLS stood out...I HATE that pick...but also the other two, ASJ and Amaro, also going in the 1st. Meaning, the top 3 TEs all got Drafted in the 1st Round....that, made no sense to me, but whatever....and while I wouldn't love the Martin pick at 9, it would sit better with me than Ebron.
  4. I did read it, and it sounds like PTR was saying the book is still out on EJ and that giving up this soon would not make much sense and contrarian to the philosophy of giving a Rookie QB at least a couple years to develop and your argument was that EJ is not and will not be capable of leading the Buffalo Offense and then made the comparison between Manning and EJ after PTR simply said that you must assume Brady and Manning are "lighting it up on every play"....? I still don't see how saying "I mean EJ threw 11 TD's this year in 10 games. Manning threw like 55 in 16. That's an apples to apples comparison, not a Sportscenter highlight." makes sense as again, your statement presumes all things are equal except the Quarterback...sooooo, again, I supposed you've lost me if that's not what you're saying...
  5. Soooooo, I don't want to jump all over your argument here, but did you just compare Buffalo's Offense to Denver's Offense and assume the only difference was the Quarterback??? If so....I'm at a loss for words....if it was something else, please explain...I'm intrigued.
  6. Sorry, major mental freeze on that one, I meant for it to be Jason Peters, but was typing quickly and running through the list quick, my mistake!! .....that said, Jason Peters was an UDFA that has the stats I so erroneously attributed to Bell....woof...terrible! and by that reasoning, every other NFL team other than the Seahawks had a terrible Draft for NOT Drafting Russell Wilson until the 3rd round or better yet Tom Brady until the 6th or the Chargers Drafting Brees in the 2nd....jesus f'in Christ...revisionist history is very easy, but the person said the BILLS have been "miserable" at Drafting for 10 years, yet information fails to bare that out....so, to say the BILLS didn't Draft well b/c they didn't Draft this player or that one, is flawed because by such a measure, all teams would "miserable" at Drafting...ultimately, in my mind, you have to measure a Draft or 10 years worth, based on how many "good" players were Drafted, not by the ones they DIDN'T Draft....but, to each his own and by that reasoning, every other NFL team other than the Seahawks had a terrible Draft for NOT Drafting Russell Wilson until the 3rd round or better yet Tom Brady until the 6th or the Chargers Drafting Brees in the 2nd....jesus f'in Christ...revisionist history is very easy, but the person said the BILLS have been "miserable" at Drafting for 10 years, yet information fails to bare that out....so, to say the BILLS didn't Draft well b/c they didn't Draft this player or that one, is flawed because by such a measure, all teams would "miserable" at Drafting...ultimately, in my mind, you have to measure a Draft or 10 years worth, based on how many "good" players were Drafted, not by the ones they DIDN'T Draft....but, to each his own
  7. Assume a search of the car was attached to something the Officer observed while he pulled him over for speeding...the drugs and paraphernalia - assuming they belong to Dareus and that they were actually found in the vehicle - doesn't necessarily mean Dareus was under the influence at the time, merely in possession of them...
  8. I know...just figured I'd through it out there anyways...
  9. See my earlier post....the test for Spice or K-2, the synthetic form of marijuana, is very different....
  10. Your point wasn't that the team hasn't made the playoffs but that the BILLS have poorly Drafted over the last 10 years...I think I've countered your over-generalized statement with some specific points to contend your argument is invalid. Playoff appearance was not what you said when you said, "Right on, great post. They also lack a competent FO and scouting department. Miserable drafts for over ten years." and to argue against such a broad and inaccurate statement I gave you a summary of players Drafted by the BILLS that have proven through individual achievements and / or recognition that in fact the BILLS did not Draft "miserably over ten years"....now, how they Drafted does NOT equal playoff appearances and / or wins. Winning in the NFL is far more complex because if having a "good" Draft equaled winning, the league would look quite different....if you would like to argue the BILLS have not Drafted a good or great QB which has doomed the team the last 14 years, to that point, I would concede - although I would give EJ one more season to demonstrate whether he IS or is NOT the answer to the QB position....
  11. Fair enough...and I've probably asked that question before and gotten the same answer. It's just with all these concrete statements floating about the board, I lose track of those who are wearing tin foil hats and talking to RW's ghost quoting him with the info and those who are reliable. No offence was intended, just curious. But thank you for answering...
  12. I'm just curious, how do you know "The BILLS are EXTREMELY high on Watkins"? Not challenging here, just wondering if it's something you have personal knowledge of or are just saying it as something you've read or heard through media reports?
  13. Martavis Bryant Kyle Van Noy (he's borderline 1st / 2nd so I just assume 2nd based on how the Draft falls) Tom Savage (Superstar might be a stretch, but very good somewhere, like say Houston 3rd Round) Ka'Deem Carey
  14. I would really like to understand how you can lump the Draft of 2004 into the Drafts over the last few years?? Miserable Drafting....really? Kyle Williams in the 5th round SJ in the 7th Whitner (Drafted way toooooooooo high, but still Pro Bowl selection and was the highest paid Safety once he left Buffalo...not a bad decision, but also a great talent) Lynch (who was traded but the BILLS still Drafted him) Poz (again, BILLS let him walk, but is having a solid career in Jax of all places, and he was let go due to scheme change more than anything) Demetrius Bell 7th round, has been a Pro Bowl LT for years, and yes they traded him to Philly but again, the BILLS Drafted him in the 7th round Eric Wood Jairus Byrd Andy Levitre Dareus - current issues notwithstanding, he just made the Pro Bowl Cordy Glenn Kiko Alonso - runner up for DROY Honorable Mention: Robert Woods and Aaron Williams Still TBD: EJ Manuel Role Players: Arthur Moats, CJ Spiller (bad value, but great talent), and Leodis McKelvin (had a good year last year...finally). And by the way, Fred Jackson was scouted by the BILLS and invited to Camp in 2006 and made the active Roster a year later....so yeah, they saw talent and took him. Also keep in mind, the BILLS Drafted Brad Butler in the middle rounds and was doing well on the right side of the Offensive line when he retired early and young... So, while two of the Drafts during those years was ABYSMAL, there was also a transition in GM and football responsibilities. The last few years have been anywhere form good to very good....personally, I think you're talking out of your arse....but whatever.
  15. I didn't vote because I'm not "sure" the BILLS will finish below .500 this year...I don't know that they will have a winning record either...so I suppose I'm greatly "Undecided" about what their record will be. The schedule is not brutal but it is far from "easy".... With much of the QB discussion I thought I'd chime in on something I heard on Colin Cowherd's show yesterday. Colin quoted some research that was done from 2004 to 2013 that examined NFL teams and their Draft "efficiency", which I'm only guessing would be determined by the number of players Drafted that have had reasonable success (also debatable I suppose), and what the bottom 8 all had in common: incredible QBs. Some of the WORST Drafting teams in terms of efficiency were Pats, Green Bay, New Orleans, Denver, Indy, San Fran, and Chicago....and I don't remember the BEST Drafting teams in terms of efficiency but none of them made the playoffs and all of them were relatively mediocre to horrible...the BILLS made neither list, which tells me in terms of "DUH", what we already know and that is this team has been lackluster in so many ways and they've been neither good or terrible - overall - for the last 14 seasons and that they've had bad seasons, but in general they have just managed to be "average" or just "below average" since that time. And while I have a tendency to take the approach that says you build a "team" mentality and gather quality players at every position, I'm coming to the belief that given the current state of the BILLS roster, even without the Draft this weekend, if EJ proves to NOT be the absolute dominant QB this team needs, next year nothing, absolutely nothing, is more important to this Franchise than finding, Drafting and cultivating their bona-fide QB of the future, as in long-term 15 year future.....
  16. I'm sorry, but I still hate the Whitner pick and it has nothing to do with Whitner, but his position. You just don't Draft Safeties in the top 10, IMO....Ngata was there and the BILLS passed on him and they have STRUGGLED, to say the least, against the run...now imagine Ngata and Dareus on the same line - assuming all other things being equal...Ngata is the much better value at that spot, again IMO...Whitner also struggled on the BILLS and did much better in San Fran when he wasn't the focal point of that Defense, something to keep in mind.
  17. According to the report I read last night, he was arrested for synthetic marijuana, also known as Spice, which was federally out-lawed a couple of years ago and then made a wide-sweeping national change to local and state municipalities. My issue with this is two-fold: the obvious, in that it is illegal, and the second is that he was using a synthetic form of marijuana in an attempt to circumvent the tests. Now, I know this for certain due to my profession (and I won't get into what that is) but it is a very different, costly analysis to test for a synthetic and for a number of months people in rehab were getting away with it because it wasn't on the normal panel of drug screens, even the 11 to 13 panel drug screens, until labs starting finding the chemical markers for it and even then it had to be specifically requested, it wasn't part of the usual processing. So, that means Dareus was intentionally attempting to circumvent the testing process by using a synthetic, Spice, in order to beat the test. Furthermore, I've personally seen several hard-core drug addicts, i.e. heroin, nearly die from just a single Spice or K-2 joint...it is dangerous, don't chalk that up to propaganda, I've seen it with my own two eyes. To the second point about Dareus intentionally trying to beat the test, it concerns me that he is possibly struggling with some life issues and / or addiction challenges without seeking out help and talking to those close to him, or professionals on the team or in the addiction field, to cope with his underlying causes of addiction. I applaud both of the posters who have weighed in recently on their personal stories. NDBUFFCUSEFAN who is dealing with some pretty powerful challenges of his / her own and VanCity who wrote about quitting after he had an epiphany of sorts regarding its deleterious effects on his life...each person has their own path and journey, and Dareus apparently is dealing with some inner turmoil, I'm more concerned about the young man reaching out for help before it's too late. And take this from someone who knows very well, sometimes mandated intervention is the only way to get things started toward recovery. Yes, there will be those who say "You have to want it", and that's certainly true. But like a blind man who has his eyes opened, sometimes we don't know the beauty of the world around us until we see it for the first time, and mandated treatment sometimes forces a person to open their eyes and reveal exactly the life they've been missing and pain they've been carrying. Dareus is a hell of a football player, but if his personhood is wounded and damaged, none of it will matter.

  19. Man....can the friggin' Draft get here already so I don't have to listen to LUNACY such as this???? No G-D way a GM pulls that kind of trade!!!! **ESPECIALLY*** for a player that is NOT a QB!!! The RGIII trade will come back to bite Washington in the ass, but at least it was for the future of the Franchise....oh dear God, get here already!!
  20. And don't forget Ramses Barden and Kevin Elliot....team seems to like Elliot....he's no Evans, I'm just throwing it out there since WR numbers / roster spots was discussed
  21. Welcome to the party sunshine.... I'm all for balanced reason and approach to critiquing the BILLS, their past flaws and failures and of course the prospective future...but simply chime in to piss on the parade as it's being assembled, hasn't even left the parking lot yet, takes a certain sociopathic proclivity for sportsmanship....don't like what the BILLS have done in the past, I get it...you're pessimistic about their future...ok, fair enough....but then please, find a different means to vent your frustration...the NFL Draft is nearing 48 hours and counting and to just get your giggles by coming onto a board by dismissing what hopeful prospects the BILLS are aiming to get to achieve a competitive and winning team, is just....well, I don't want to get banned so I'll stop there....there's constructive and there's destructive...your choice of words, and their timing, appear to be the latter....just sayin'..... Edit: the italic bold is the only thing I edited after I realized I ranted without proof reading - my mistake...but at least mine's fixable
  22. ^^That, might be one of the best posts in the last month!!! Awesome!
  23. If the BILLS can't get in the top 5 to Draft Watkins or Evans, I think they trade down all the way into the 20s (which is what I would personally prefer)....and if that happens, I think the BILLS Draft Defense 1st
