  1. more money in the NFL as a coach is a myth...sometimes you get paid more in the NFL and sometimes you get paid more in college...im guessing Chip would get more money from Oregon than from the Bills (current salaries say Chip makes more than Chan)
  2. as many posters have attempted to point out, ralph may not currently be doing any meddling because hes too busy dieing, but his decision to dictate to Wade Phillips that Rob Johnson would be starting the playoff game instead of season long starter (and winner) Doug Flutie (and thus, lost the team) will continue to weigh on peoples minds...why even take the chance of having something like that happen? And more importantly, the uncertainty over teams future ownership (that could realistically change at any minute), is a major cause of concern for a college coach looking to make the leap and have his shot at the NFL retreads will continue
  3. hahahahahaha, wellll...we can only hope he responds with his reason so we can know for sure... drum roll please....................
  4. well my interest is piqued....
  5. leave a program you have brought to national prominence and have huge success with, for probably a PAY CUT to work for a meddling owner and franchise with questions about the future??? yea I can def. see Chip leaving the Pac NW for Buffalo....
  6. wade has, and always will run his same 3-4 defense....so I get what your saying in general, but a "good coach like wade" has not really altered his approach to defense much in his career....hes just a dam good defensive coach and always has been
  7. well many of those players were drafted to be 3-4 players and we now run a 4-3 defense... I dont think we have had bad drafts at all...and I think in 5 years looking back we will have drafted several pro-bowl players Spiller, Dareus, Glenn, Gilmore all have shown flashes of great play in their short NFL careers Hairston is the prototype swing NLF tackle and I think would make a really good RT (but Pears is also a really good RT so hes stuck) TJ Graham could turn out to be good Carrington has had an impact this year even though he was drafted in the mold of 3-4 Searcy has looked capable at safety Sheppard - who knows, hes looked lost...he could be the worst pick under Nix but we will see Williams - has struggled mightily so far at CB Overall I think there has been solid draft decisions by this front office, hasent ever been a "franchise QB" worth taking - Cam was gone so we took Dareus many faults of this organization, just dont see the past three drafts being a major one (yet)
  8. anyone who read the graphic novel.....I thought the Governor was inside the prison and in control?????? (I havent read them, just thought I had a vague understanding of some plot outlines)
  9. I know it would be crazy, but I think Abel dies....that ends the whole issue with Jax/Adrianna from Sopranos baby and custory - her out of the show, just the legitimate child Thomas left....the continued downward spiral of Gemma (probably suicide herself after realizing what shes done/her lifes over) - more heartache for Jax....sad but I could see it happening
  10. I third the idea about Te'o being my favorite FOOTBALL player, period... a side note....why do so many Samoans go to BYU?
  11. so you have never once went even one mile over the speed limit? thats against the law.... i love when people try to paint themselves as saints of course there are laws/rules that people dont agree with and break
  12. yesss, yessss yessssss!!!!
  13. this is just like the "pocket sized" rule at stores...if it fits in your pocket its not illegal to steal it, duh...
  14. door knobs and light bulbs? zippers and tupperware?
  15. and the good Dr. has serveddddd!!!
  16. BYU has an excellent defense, and I expected a 14-14 type of game...I was pleasantly suprised by the rushing attack (riddick), really hope the emphasis is on the passing game this week - as you mentioned, it needs to be to be in this game keep it close and find a way to win! Thats my mantra
  17. Any other fans out there? This team looks pretty strong, defense is playing lights out...the rushing attack grows every week...and with a mobile QB who has made some good decisions, they could challenge for a title this year. It all starts with a HUGE matchup against Oklahoma on Saturday night... Any other fans/college football fans, what do you see as the keys to this game? Obviously shutting down Oklahoma's 60 point offense is going to be a real challenge...but can Oklahoma be ran on? Or will this game have to be won via the air (that scares me?) GO IRISH!!!!
  18. hey when you gotta go, ya gotta go...until you pee in public, you've never really done anything with you life : ) (and just to clarify, its not like I wake up in the morning ,walk outside and piss in the street....ive peed in public in parking lots while tailgating mostly - and once on a street corner in buffalo - not particularly proud of that, but I guess proud enough to share with all of you strangers) yes, I steal all types of files from the internet...tv shows/music(especially)/movies, you name it...im all about it, sorry to the tgregs of the world that im hurting who depend on that for their piddly earnings...at least your doing what ya love though, ya know? FX did not offer the past episode on demand for some reason, and their website does not offer episodes as HBO and AMC and others do... I do appreciate all the negative nancy's who came in to scold me for trying to catch up on my TV show episode that I missed....for an update: I was not able to find it online (score one for tgreg!!!) so I recorded the episode as it was on after last nights episode, so now ill get to watch both back to back, thank god! am I right?
  19. thanks for NOmenu.com suggestion, site is awesome! man I wish this trip wasent three months away
  20. well Ive never peed in the stadium before, but ive certainly peed in the parking lot when the lines for the port-o's were too long
  21. your the man, we will be there Saturday morning (January 26th) until Tuesday morning (January 29th)...we think of ourselves as "foodies" - just four of us, and will be looking for probably one fancy type place to eat and then other local faves/must go's... frenchman st. seems more up my alley than bourbon - been on bourbon before, went to Pat Os and will probably do that for one night/part of the night....listen to all music, original rock sound sgood as well as jazz...... looking for "outside the box" type things to do aside from bars and restaurants...thinking of possibly doing the WWII museum, maybe a plantation tour (however the other couple were going with did one in SC and arent dieing to do another)....
  22. Pat Obriens is the bar that has many differnt bars within the bar right...I think I went to a piano bar in there????
  23. Planning a New Orleans trip (flight and hotel booked) for the end of January (week before the superbowl)... I was in New Orleans once, but that was 7 years ago and for Mardi Gras, so all I did was a whole lot of drinking (and stopped at Cafe Dumonde for a benet(sp?)... Anyone been? What to do (bars included)? Where to eat? Golf Courses (are they open in January?)? Tours? etc... I am going to be annoying about this and keep resurfacing this thread monthly until I go... help my group have the time of our lives in The Big Easy....
