Is have to agree here. I do think that Peterman has shown some good things during the preseason - enough to be cautiously optimistic that he might become a decent NFL QB, BUT he has been under MUCH less defensive pressure than Taylor has seen and that is a BIG deal. I'm not trying to throw cold water on this thread, but I think many are waaaay ahead of things with Peterman.

No team would be willing to give up much at all for Ragland in his current circumstances. Coming off torn ACL, has never played a regular season NFL snap and currently not 3rd team for a defense that is hurting for LBs. For as little as you could get in return, better to keep him and hope that his struggles are mainly coming back from the injury. Trading him for a 6th or 7th round pick would be a waste unless they are convinced that he was a flat out draft mistake.

Nobody is trading a 2nd for Taylor, though He could be good enough to get the Jags into the playoffs with all their other talent

Tyrod: 8-18 for 53 yards and 2 interceptions. I don't hate Taylor, but that is criminally bad.

First, Alex Smith hasn't gotten KC a playoff win and they have a much better defense than Bills will this year. More important, Alex Smith is old and near the end of the line. Why would a Bills team that isn't likely to compete for a playoff spot need to add an OK old QB nearing the end of his career?

With a Bills spin, I will say that Jerry Butler could have been in the conversation if had could have remained healthy. He was amazing early in his career. Calvin Johnson, Lynn Swann, Jerry Rice and Odell Beckham have all really impressed me. I still have reverence for Bobby Chandler and Fred Biletnikoff as consummate great-hands guys.

I could be happy with a trade of Taylor (who'm I have a lot of respect for). However, I can't see any teams that would be willing to trade more than a fifth round pick for the marginal starter. Until he proves that he can throw timing passes and passes over the middle, his trade value is low.
