  1. He clearly never will grow up. So much talent mostly wasted.
  2. Jim Kelly was the 3rd QB drafted in his class and Dan Marino was the 6th QB taken the same year.
  3. Is have to agree here. I do think that Peterman has shown some good things during the preseason - enough to be cautiously optimistic that he might become a decent NFL QB, BUT he has been under MUCH less defensive pressure than Taylor has seen and that is a BIG deal. I'm not trying to throw cold water on this thread, but I think many are waaaay ahead of things with Peterman.
  4. No team would be willing to give up much at all for Ragland in his current circumstances. Coming off torn ACL, has never played a regular season NFL snap and currently not 3rd team for a defense that is hurting for LBs. For as little as you could get in return, better to keep him and hope that his struggles are mainly coming back from the injury. Trading him for a 6th or 7th round pick would be a waste unless they are convinced that he was a flat out draft mistake.
  5. Nobody is trading a 2nd for Taylor, though He could be good enough to get the Jags into the playoffs with all their other talent
  6. Tyrod: 8-18 for 53 yards and 2 interceptions. I don't hate Taylor, but that is criminally bad.
  7. Right, Watkins would make all of those misfires better. That is patently ridiculous.
  8. This is HARD to watch even for a die-hard
  9. How many more unplanned series are they going to give Tyrod to try to complete a pass?
  10. Just for context, EJ Manuel completed 10 of 12 passes last week
  11. Trying to to give Tyrod some confidence
  12. As soon as McCoy gets hurt, we'll be making the Jets' tank-job look weak!
  13. Disagree- trades make even more sense with this offensive display. Anyone who thinks this was a playoff contender before the trades should get me the name of their dealer!
  14. Agreed - looking like a Rex team still, but I expect McDermott to get the penalties under control.
  15. Could be a long season forcing Bills to pick a QB early. Tyrod is not looking good.
  16. Hope to see: - Peterman look solid with 2nd team - stay poised, more timing passes and throws over the middle. - Jonathan Williams has another good game - a few nice catches from Zay Jones - some progress from Reggie Ragland who showed a few flashes last week - more from Daikiel Shorts (sp) - had a couple nice catches last week - continued good play from Eddie Yarborough - good games from Dion Dawkins and Sentrel Henderson - someone to step up in the secondary and LBs
  17. First, Alex Smith hasn't gotten KC a playoff win and they have a much better defense than Bills will this year. More important, Alex Smith is old and near the end of the line. Why would a Bills team that isn't likely to compete for a playoff spot need to add an OK old QB nearing the end of his career?
  18. Word! He would have been tremendous. I hadn't seen your post and independently listed Butler.
  19. With a Bills spin, I will say that Jerry Butler could have been in the conversation if had could have remained healthy. He was amazing early in his career. Calvin Johnson, Lynn Swann, Jerry Rice and Odell Beckham have all really impressed me. I still have reverence for Bobby Chandler and Fred Biletnikoff as consummate great-hands guys.
  20. I could be happy with a trade of Taylor (who'm I have a lot of respect for). However, I can't see any teams that would be willing to trade more than a fifth round pick for the marginal starter. Until he proves that he can throw timing passes and passes over the middle, his trade value is low.
