  1. I agree. This team is bad.
  2. They have scored 7 points against a team that is blatantly tanking.
  3. Really pretty awful. Where are the guys who were touting the Bills to blow out these Jets?
  4. Why would anyone interfere with Holmes?
  5. Here it is... Weak an both sides.
  6. This is how you lose to a terrible team, Buffalo style
  7. You are right, for all the emphasis on ST, the Bills' ST aren't looking good
  8. It is time for SU to abandon football. They laid another turd in losing to Middle Tennessee State today. Put the money wasted on that horrible football team into trying to prop up the hoops team.
  9. Two years of evidence says that he might squeak into the playoffs IF the Bills have a historically good defense. Taylor is the NFL's version of Spud Webb - an over-achiever who gives you hope in individual games, but is clearly not good enough to win in the long-run.
  10. I expect a close game that leaves us fans depressed.
  11. Are you saying that a defense that is starting 2 career special teamers at LB and have an entirely new secondary (including several late round picks) is so far superior to the Jets D that it isn't reasonably likely that the Jets will be in the game at the end? Besides RB, what area do the Bills have an advantage over the Jets? Problem is a try-hard, but bottom of the league QB will significantly hold this team back - with little to no growth on offense this year because they are playing an unconventional offense to fit Taylor's game.
  12. The fever will be back in earnest if the Bills lose at home to the Jets - and it could easily happen.
  13. I think that too many believe that the Bills are slam dunks to beat the Jets. I see the teams as pretty comparable. The only position that I think the Bills have a clear advantage is at RB, as long as McCoy stays healthy. I think this game will be close, hopefully the Bills will win.
  14. KC's pick looks like it is going to be quite late in round 1 and therefore unlikely to be enough ammo to move up to get a QB unless the Bills own pick is in the top 5 -7. Who know if there will be more than one good QB prospect by the time the college season plays out... I know that Rosen led UCLA's big comeback last week, but he wasn't very good early in that game and he was very lucky as well when one sure INT that he threw went right through the Safeties hands and landed in his receiver's hands for a TD. Josh Allen wasn't able to do much of anything against a superior opponent.
  15. Did the op mean Bills can't wait to cut Taylor loose?
  16. Deangelo Williams??? He's been a has-been for three years, but I get the point that if the OL is very good and there is sufficient passing threat, then there are a lot of RBs that might be reasonably productive. A lot of ifs there, though.
  17. This is exactly where I am. Talor isn't horrible, but he hasn't shown that he can really elevate a team. Objectively, if he were a FA, there would be very few teams truly interested in signing him to be a long-term starter.
  18. If that were true, then the Bils would have gotten a lot more for Watkins. The Bills' front office is not as clueless as you want to believe. They understand that when healthy he is a tremendous talent, but they also recognized that the injury risk is significant and that the Bills do not have a QB that can effectively take advantage of his skills. If he turns into a superhero in LA, it does not mean that he would have reached those levels in Buffalo with Tyrod. Self-awareness is important.
  19. Yes, they could have paid him $13M per season or more. They obviously determined that his injuries vs that kind of dough didn't warrant keeping him. If they had paid him and he missed several games and was ineffective due to injuries, people would be hollering what a stupid contact that was.
  20. The trade was to get something for Watkins rather than losing him with no compensation at the end of this season. I have no doubt that they knew that they were accepting a downgrade at WR when they made that trade, but they knew that he hey were unlikely to make the playoffs this year with or without Watkins, so we're happy to pocket the draft pick and what looks like a competent CB.
  21. No question about that, but the large majority of very good QB prospects are selected very early in the draft. If a QB prospect lasts beyond the first few picks in an NFL draft, it is because that prospect has either some less than ideal traits or has unanswered questions such as inexperience, coming from a non-pro style systems, injury history, size, arm strength, etc - For sure, it doesn't mean that prospects like that can't succeed, but the very best prospects go very early.
  22. As it always seems to be for Bills' fans, there is always something negative to draw - KC looked very good, good enough that their 1st round pick is unlikely to be very helpful in trading up for a QB in 2018. Looks like unless the Bills are bad enough to earn a top 3 pick on their own, the QB problem will persist beyond next year.
  23. A win would be good, but not an good indication of success against other opponents. I am not one who even believes that the Bills are any kind of lock to beat the Jets.
  24. I think that NFL -stable is different than walking around stable, but you can disagree...
