  1. Makes too much sense for a team switching to a 3-4 and lacking a true NT. But hey, we got Cornell Green.

What if they reached out to him and he had no interest in joining a rebuilding situation? He's 34 and an impact guy when healthy. N.O. is a playoff caliber team. Denver has more things in place. Or maybe he will take the tour soon. He hasn't signed anywhere yet.

  2. Still Waiting for this current Braintrust to bring in some Free Agents, at least for visits........every other team is looking at available palyers and so far we have brought in 1 average offensive lineman from Kansas City.......What the Hell Buddy, what are you waiting for them to call you??? and beg you to let them play for Buffalo???

Your new regime is off to a great start in Free agency......QB still up in the air, 2 OT on the roster, NO NT and we are going to 3-4.......unloaded any WR depth we had...........

Buddy, Chan & the Gang.......GET with it, Free Agency opened last Friday and the draft is 6 weeks away........they will not just fall off the plane...........call some of those San Diego guys, pick up the Baltimore LT for a 1st rounder, proven talent, anything for God's sake show us you have a pulse.....Ralph is asking for down payments for season tickets and from what 've been told sales are EXTREMELY SLOW!

You obviously haven't paid attention to Nix, Gailey or Whaley. They have all said the Bills would be built through the draft not FA. FA would be lower tiered guys to fill specific roles. If you listened you wouldn't be on the board cryin' right now. Besides, who, worth the money, would you have them sign?

  3. We were 6-10 and in most games. You people talk like we were 3-13 and getting blown out every week. Believe me I understand your frustration I am frustrated as well. Who has been signed that would have improved this team without mortgaging the future. Do you guys want one good year or a good 5-10 years. I talked to a high ranking official in my church today and he reminded me that patience is one of the most importabt qualities we have. We make less mistakes this way, problems are resolved instead of being compounded.

Don't try to talk common sense. That ain't so common in these parts. People would rather whine about everthing they

know about or don't know about and put down their own city. Let the grown people have the conversation and leave the criers to themselves.

  4. why didn't we bring TOny Pashos in? Green was on an offensive line maybe worse than ours. We are picking the scraps from sh-tty teams. Chiefs, now the Raiders. I know it's early, but I just can't get excited about this

Why do you think Pashos is any better? He's a journeyman like all the rest.

  5. This is mostly why I'm so pissed Ellison was tendered. You take care of one of the least valuable RFA's, but wait until the last minute to tender Wilson, Incogs, Scott and maybe Schouman? What sense does that make, and what message does it send. 3 hours left to tender players and still no word on if we're going to retain some of the limited number of quality players we have. It just seems like same old stupidity from this team. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't understand what good waiting until the last minute does. When I heard Ellison was the first one tendered, I snapped.

Have you considered that they could be going down to the last minute with some of the guys you mentioned because they are still trying to work out a long term deal? Then they could use that tender on a different player. Say they sign Wilson. Now you can use the 2nd round tender on Incognito, lets say. But if no long term deal is in effect you give Wilson the 2nd round tender, which they did.

And listen, just because people seem to like Icongnito does not mean Nix likes him. And because Nix might not like him doesn't make him wrong. Maybe there's some reason behind the scenes that makes him someone the team doesn't want. Or maybe they feel they can do better. Or maybe he will be brought back. There's still time to do it. Everybody needs to calm down.

  6. http://www.wgr550.com/pages/6495905.php

What a joke. Nice first move of FA, tender a useless 220 pound LB who doesn't fit inside or outside in your scheme. Nice job. This pisses me off so much, I thought we were finally rid of this d.b.

Why get yourself upset? The season starts in September. You don't know what their plans are. Bottom line

is the guy has experience. Plays hard and can tackle pretty well. Someone who runs a 3-4 might want him

and give a pick for him. If not, he could be released OR he could be one of those special teams guys that

make the team every year. Calm down. It's not as deep as you make it out to be.

  7. Actually I am not a Edwards lover, but he is just as good as Campbell, and sadly so far in their careers they have both sucked for the most part. I live down here in Virginia in Redskins Country and even the majority of Skins fans think he is terrible, we have had enough projects, and waited enough years for a QB to develop and he never does, would be more of the same with Campbell. They can keep him.

Edwards is NOT as a good as Campbell. You smoke some strong stuff. Trent is not durable. Campbell got beat up all year long, got off the ground and kept playing; with injuries. His arm is stronger than Trent's arm. Check their stats. Edwards is not close to Campbell. I'm not saying Campbell is an all star. But he is better and has more potential than Edwards.

  8. If he's sooo good, why does the team that knows him best want to get rid of him? :D

Because they have incompetent leadership that starts in the owner's box. He damaged Campbell

with his constant coaching changes and the rest of the team as well. Now there is new "leadership"

in town, if Snyder allows it to work, and they might or might not want to go forward with Campbell.

Snyder has burned his bridges with Campbell.

  9. Listening to a DC radio show this morning, they had a call claiming very reliable "inside information" (lol)....that Campbell will be moved to Buffalo for Whitner and a pick. I've seen plenty of Jason Campbell. The *only* thing he has going for him is arm strength to slice through the wind. That he has. His iffy pocket presence, annoying habit of hanging on to the ball way too long and captain checkdown tendencies are big negatives in DC. I suppose he could be a credible backup QB but i would not be excited at all to get him.

I have too. He's got a big arm. He is also tough and durable. He got abused all season and he always got up and came back for more. If he could get good coaching I think he could be something good. If your WR's don't get open you would hold onto the rock as well. Moss gets taken out of many games because he was the best WR they have. Thomas and Kelly didn't start coming on until late in the year. Then the Skins had OLine problems like the Bills.

Campbell is better than Fitz or Trent as far as I'm concerned just based on his superior arm strength and his toughness. Trent is not durable and Fitz is not as strong armed.

  10. http://i2.cdn.turner.com/si/2010/football/...nce-cody-p1.jpg :D Get that man a Manzere.

I can't call anyone who lets themselves get into that shape an athlete. I wouldn't take the guy in the 4th round even if he gets in shape for the draft. He obviously has no real ambition. JMO

If you wouldn't take him in the fourth round you are a koo koo. If he's there in the 2nd and the Bills still don't have a NT they better seriously consider taking him. He's not getting drafted to be Mr. Universe. He's being drafted to stuff the run, something he did with regularity at Alabama over the past couple seasons. On the field he plays hard, he plays with passion and he gets the job done. Aaron Maybin is a specimen. I like his potential, but he didn't do much this past season.

  11. Lets sign a quarterback that is worse than the three that we already have. Where were you when they were interviewing GMs. We missed out on a good one.

Culpepper is far more accomplished than Trent or Fitz will ever be. He's not great and no more than a quick stop-gap, but he's not as bad those two stiffs.

  12. I expect a lot of speculation from the fans

I expect the coaching staff to do their jobs, scout players both college and pro

I expect to see some bills personnel in Indianapolis specifically during the combine

I expect a draft to occur in April, where despite all the time and due diligence put in by the new regime in picking the players, many people here will instantly second guess the collective wisdom of the entire staff, and proceed in calling for them all to be fired.

I expect very few "experts" to give us a shot at winning 4 games this year

And by the end of next yr, I expect a lot of people, both fans and experts, to feel like complete !@#$s

    +1

  13. http://blog.al.com/ray-melick/2010/02/tall...dy_nix_bac.html

Man this guy gets me pumped up. I wish we had him as GM instead of Donahoe/Marv/ Russ and all that mess we have went through. I have a feeling I am going to wish we had Gailey this entire time as well

I want the QB situation resolved so damn bad, but I am also about to the point of just going with whatever Nix and Gailey goes with and deal with it. Nix has such a damn good rep at evaluating and getting the right players in here. I just wish this was a time when when had like two first rounders, a couple seconds etc so Nix could really shore things up quicker.

I like Nix too. And the draft is still a while away. They could still add some more picks. In fact, I think we will see Nix acquire some more picks in the 2nd-4th rounds.

  14. There's an even bigger problem with RWS that would be impossible to fix...the tunnels. What idiot thought making a concourse about 20 feet wide was enough room for 20,000 people? Try to get a beer or go to the bathroom at halftime in the 100 level. Let's hope they never have evacuate the stadium. It would be ugly.

    PTR

Most stadiums built as far back as the Ralph were are the same. At the time they were built people weren't the supersized versions they are now. It's not so much the tunnel as it is the people; people have gotten bigger in general and outside of that they have gotten fatter too. People take up more space than they used to.

  15. And when the vans / trucks drive away with the Bills to a new city, maybe some of the sentimental fans can still gather on sundays there and tailgate and talk about the old days?

If the Bills stay in Buffalo its because there is a new stadium and fans are paying prices for tickets etc more on par with the rest of the NFL.

The truth of it is that the Ralph can be redone and higher ticket prices can be charged that put Bills ticket prices on par with the rest of the NFL. Or the Ralph can stay just like it is and ticket prices can be raised to be on par with the rest of the NFL. Soldier Field was also redone. The Ralph has plenty of room to be redone, especially on the outside. And it would be cheaper than a new stadium. I'm all for a new stadium, but where do you believe the money will come from?

  16. Gil Brandt was on Siruis Nfl radio this morning and dropped a few tidbits about this years Tackle class.

He said he thought both A davis and Buluga are Right tackles in the Nfl. He also bashed Campbell , bascially saying he ws no were worthy of a high draft pick.

If he is correct this throws a big monkey wrench in the thought that the left tackle would come from this draft class.

In addition Pat Kirwin kind of dismissed both qbs as fran kaliber.

Doesn't throw a wrench in at all. It's just his opinion. The OT could come from the 4th round or be an undrafted FA. Or Campbell could be great. At the end of the day they practice and play the game to determine who can do what; not advise draft guru's pre-draft breakdowns.

  17. If we go out and trade for Jason Campbell, we doom this team for years to come. The only way I take him is if he is a free agent. I'm sick to my stomach thinking about Gailey trading for him to be our starter. The guy sucks. He is why the Redskins have sucked for years. Please don't do this.

I'd rather take my chances on developing Brohm and staying with Edwards then getting Campbell.

Cambell is the victim of bad front office decisions, much like Edwards. But in Campbell's case he has had

several different coordinators/head coaches. Always having to learn new offenses. And he had no line at

all last season, he took a beating, yet he always got up and came back, unlike Edwards. He is tougher than

Edwards and has a bigger arm than Edwards and if Gailey could get him the Bills could stretch the field. I don't

see why you wouldn't want to take a chance on Campbell. It's not like you have to give up any high picks for

    him.

  18. He's in my opinion a once in a decade player. All signs are pointing to the Rams taking a Bradford right now. What would it take to move up 7 spots? I'm not exactly sure. But you find a way to do it even if you have to over pay for him! If you want to get a lot better sooner rather then later you do whatever it takes to get this beast!

No way. Suh is a great talent, but the Bills cannot afford to give up the number of picks it would take

to move up. If anything they should trade down from 9 and pick up an extra 2nd if they can. There's a lot of

good depth in this year's draft. Especially at DT.

  19. Yeah. 51-3 was the last Bills team that could actually play in snow. Now we have a bunch of California pussies and free agents don't want to play in the cold. Half the NFL plays in domes now. Since the idea is to catch Buffalo up to the rest of the NFL, maybe we should act like it's not 1990 anymore.

    PTR

Cleveland built an outdoor facility; Baltimore; Pittsburgh; Cincinnati; Chicago; New England; the Jets/Giants. No need for a dome to "catch up with the rest of the NFL". Buffalo should be itself. Players play where they get paid and can have success. If they go to Green Bay they will come to Buffalo. No dome needed sir. Money and results are needed. Has nothing to do with the cold.

  20. Niagara Falls location good idea, but a DOME???

I understand it would increase chance of hosting SB, but NO SNOW ??

maybe if it had retractable roof, closed for the SB & other events, but wide open for all Bills games.

No Domes. And no Super Bowl is going to be in Buffalo, NY in the winter time until the WNY region

gets better economically. Downtown area needs to be returned to life because that's where most

folks would need to be, not in the outer suburbs.

What hotels are the thousands of media and people coming to the game going to stay in? Folks complained

about Detroit and Minneapolis and Jacksonville SB's. People see the SB as a vacation. I don't know if B-lo

is equipped for that many people rolling through at one time.
